Juan Luis Guerra on Tour
Juan Luis Guerra has created a synthesis of slinky bachata and posh merengue rhythms, and when he performs it live, he brings a slice of the Dominican Republic's culture to the stage. As one of the DR's biggest musical exports, the suave crooner has captivated legions of fans with his sophisticated folk formula. He's joined forces on stage with some of the best, including Sting, The Rolling Stones, Paul Simon and Maná.
Juan Luis Guerra in Concert
Juan Luis Guerra Seijas was born in the Dominican Republic in 1957, and like love at first sight, Guerra felt an instant affinity for his country's native genres. Back then, bachata and merengue ran in different circles — the former was considered crass and lowbrow, while the latter would be dubbed the national identity of DR by decree. The artist launched his singing career in the late '80s, but it wasn't until 1990 with Bachata Rosa that he catapulted bachata to global prominence. He elevated the genre by adding a tinge of merengue into his musical recipe — Guerra is widely considered the first to do so — and earned a Grammy for it. He kept the sonic elegance going strong, but the racy double entendres, traditionally a characteristic of bachata lyrics, got the song "Burbujas de Amor" banned in several countries. Today, "Burbujas" is recognized by Rolling Stone as one of Latin pop's greatest songs of all time. With over a dozen studio albums that also dabble in rock, salsa and even gospel, the legendary performer proves that his creativity is limitless In 2019, the Billboard Latin Music Awards honored Guerra with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his artistic excellence.

It was good. I always enjoy anything from Juan Luis Guerra. It could have been better. I think it should have been longer.
Juan Luis gets better every time I see him, the energy is high, his music is amazing and his voice is spectacular. This is the best show ever, you get to dance, sing, scream and be the proudest Dominican in the planet. His songs are timeless and you get merengue , bachata, bolero and pop music for he price of 1. His musicians are the crop and Marydalia as good as always looking better every year. What can I say can't wait for the next show!!!!!!!!!!
Juan Luis Guerra performed as excellent as usual...my only complaint? I wanted to listen to him for a couple of hours more!!!! the time went too fast....
The sound, Selection of songs and overall ....fantastic!! Saw La Travesia twice this year!!
JLG gave us the full repertoire of music. Radio was the perfect venue with the perfect crowd.
We did not stop dancing from the first beat to the last. The staging, and band was great. 440 is always terrific, and Juan Luis is a master of his genre. His song writing, singing and overall talent are always Wonderful. We had the best time, and we will always be fans! Que Viva Juan Luis Guerra y 440. Just keep coming to your fans in NYC, we love you.

From the moment, they came on stage the audience rose to their feet and did not stop dancing for the next two hours. It was awesome. I love going to their concerts.
I am not a big fan of Bachata, but do like Juan Luis Guerra's music and flavor. Purchased two tickets and went with my sister (also not a bachata fanatic but likes Juan Luis). Paid for great seats and WOW what a show!!! we sure got our moneys worth ! He had everyone on their feet from the moment he took the stage until he left the stage. Sang his new stuff and his old stuff. The band was awesome, the audience was great. Wonderful night!!
JUAN LUIS GUERRA & 440 @ hardrock hollywood Fl was great but very very short. What I did like is that after concert there was allot to do at teh hardrock. I normally go to AAA for concerts and will probably avoind the Hardrock for concerts in the future.
Unforgettable and the next time lets arrange a dance floor.
Fabulous. Juan Luis Guerra is amazing and live, he was on point. I'm keeping it short 'cause I'm still savoring the memories.
He is amazing in concert..i just feel like it finished too soon!!
Juan Luis Guerra is the ultimate artist. His songs are poetry in sound, and the beats will get you out of your seat! He is nothing short of amazing.
I've seen many concerts & Shows at Radio City Music Hall. The last one prior to this one was "Seal" and he had to work really hard to get the people out of their seats. Juan Luis Guerra was SOOOOOO electrifying that he was able to make everyone stand, dance and sing INSTANTLY as soon as he took the stage. This concert was certainly memorable, from start to finish.
the concert was very ggod, Juna Luis Guerra voice is very clear and sweet, he sang all his hits. the theatre is gorgeous
