About

Journey is a multi-platinum-selling rock band from San Francisco, California. Originally formed by former members of Santana, the Steve Miller Band and Frumious Bandersnatch, the band’s current lineup includes guitarist and backing vocalist Neal Schon, lead vocalist Arnel Pineda, keyboardist and guitarist Jonathan Cain, keyboardist Jason Derlatka, bassist Todd Jensen and drummer Deen Castronovo. After releasing a few albums — including their self-titled 1975 debut — throughout the early ‘70s, Journey reached a new height of commercial success on the charts with Infinity (1978), Evolution (1979) and Departure (1980), all of which were certified multi-platinum in the U.S. The band earned their first chart-topping album in 1981 with Escape, which also yielded massive hits like “Don’t Stop Believing” and “Open Arms.” Over the decades, Journey has continued to release studio albums and tour the world as one of the best-selling rock acts in music history, with their most recent album, Freedom, released in 2022.

    This Journey concert was everything I had hoped it would be. The play list (19 songs and a couple solo’s) covered about every hit and left me wishing it wasn’t over. Last time I saw them was 42 years ago in 1982 Market Square Arena in Indy. Where has time gone? I don’t know but the music of Journey has been with me every step of of the way - for sure!

    These guys really came to play! Toto started it off with very strong vocals & wonderful harmonies to accompany their obvious musical skills. Steve Lukather had a great time on his guitar solos and the entire band did a fine job! Then it was Journey's turn & they showed up strong as well. Must mention all the energy & very fine vocals from Arnel Pineda, he was such a sparkplug! Neal is such a guitar master & it almost seemed that he was being featured a bit much on a few songs? Remember to share that stage, Mr Schon. Also could feel a bit of tension between a few band members, but all in all they handled their business quite well. Congrats on providing a really fun experience & good luck moving forward!

    I flew here to visit friends, then found out Toto and Journey were going to be here. I HAD to buy a ticket, as I knew I couldn't pass up this opportunity! It was everything I was hoping it would be, and more! Both groups sounded great, the sound techs had the levels dialed in, lighting was amazingggg... I regret nothing!

    My husband and I were given tickets for Christmas. We enjoyed the concert very much, especially Toto! Journey was good, but he and I are both huge Toto fans, so that was definitely the highlight for us. We had pretty good seats but had to stand most of the concert to be able to see anything. It would have been better if the concert wasn't on a week night as we it started and ended late in the evening and we both work, but other than that, we enjoyed it. Very entertaining.
