About

Journey is a multi-platinum-selling rock band from San Francisco, California. Originally formed by former members of Santana, the Steve Miller Band and Frumious Bandersnatch, the band’s current lineup includes guitarist and backing vocalist Neal Schon, lead vocalist Arnel Pineda, keyboardist and guitarist Jonathan Cain, keyboardist Jason Derlatka, bassist Todd Jensen and drummer Deen Castronovo. After releasing a few albums — including their self-titled 1975 debut — throughout the early ‘70s, Journey reached a new height of commercial success on the charts with Infinity (1978), Evolution (1979) and Departure (1980), all of which were certified multi-platinum in the U.S. The band earned their first chart-topping album in 1981 with Escape, which also yielded massive hits like “Don’t Stop Believing” and “Open Arms.” Over the decades, Journey has continued to release studio albums and tour the world as one of the best-selling rock acts in music history, with their most recent album, Freedom, released in 2022.

    Overall was disappointed in their show. The lead singer left much to be appreciated. The vocals sounded muted and muffled, almost as if they were trying to cover up his accent. Made it very hard to understand what he was singing. Stage presence just not engaging. So much of Journey's appeal was in the commanding vocals of Steve Perry, and I'm sorry, but their lead singer was not commanding in any way.

    Went to Thunder Valley to see Journey. We’ve see Journey several times and love them. I don’t know if it was the venue or the bands fault but we could barely hear the vocals. Felt like they were more into selfies with the front row rather than singing..we left early. BRING BACK STEVE PERRY!

    Saw their February 19th 2024 show at CFG Bank in Baltimore. Whatever I expected I was blown away. Journey brough the energy and their best songs. Toto played about six or seven songs- they were also great, but Journey hit it out of the park. Their original and newer members were all amazing, especially Arnel! It's great to see the new flair they're bringing to their oldest songs. For anyone on the fence, going is absolutely worth it. We had an amazing time and the tickets were absolutely worth the money. You should consider bringing earplugs, thought the volume was not that loud when I happened to see them.

    I went and seen the band May 20 2024. It was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been too. Me and my sister sang our hearts out, and cryed. It was one of the best nights of my life. They may not have the original singer Steve Perry. But Arnel Pineda did a phenomenal job singing for Journey. 100% would go see Journey again.

    Amazing concert, Journey is always great! My husband and I saw them Sept 8 in Denver, CO We thought maybe the lead singer was sick... He is usually full of energy bouncing from one end of the stage to the other, but tonight wasn't like that. He was out of breath, the notes sometimes were a little off... If that's the case, we hope he's better soon! None the less, they always put on a great show!

    I saw Journey when i was a little kid long time ago. Now i saw them again in Hershey PA. Steve Miller Band was the first up and they were amazing. Rock concerts will always be the best type of event🔥🎸🤘

    Narcissistic Schon ruins the otherwise good band. Plastic surgery and false teeth have him appearing as a real-life "Tales from the Crypt"character. Spooky!!!

    This was a great show, lots of energy, and loud music. But I feel like the singer was having to sing extra loud to get through the guitar music. They might think about having a more balanced voice/music balance so you can hear the singer better. But all in all, everything else was awesome, nice selection of songs and even though the singer isn't Steve Perry anymore, he did a great job belting out the songs and moving around the stage. Had a great time!

    I obviously love Journey. A classic group!! But let me tell ya, I feel like over 1/2 of the concert is one big guitar solo. They’re phenomenal for their age, and their lead singer sounds just like Steve Perry!! But again…those guitar solos. Buckle up. That’s all I have to say. Plz let me know if you also had this experience at your last Journey concert‼️
