The "new" Joseph musical was wonderful. From the new beginning, new choreography, new set......the show was Great!!!

  • Joseph was awesome!

    by racemom5156 on 10/27/15Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

We knew going in that it wasn't going to be Donny Osmond playing the lead, like the last time we saw this, but the cast was amazing. Their voices and acting was superb! The whole family loved it!

  • Juvenile at best

I left at intermission because the singing, choreography and acting was so poor.

  • Joseph was worthy of our time

I had seen this play a while ago, but this revamped version seemed like they were going along the comedy version. Don't get me wrong, I still really enjoyed it, but it was different than we expected.

The cast was talented and the music was great, but the opening was very odd. Felt like a modern interpretation of the story which is not how the show was marketed and not what I was looking for.

  • Outstanding Performance

    by SS628 on 10/26/15Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I went to the October 23rd performance at the Fox Theater in Detroit. We thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Laura Helm was incredible as the narrator. I would love to see her in other performances in the future. We thought the whole cast did a fantastic job including some playful moments when the cast was hamming it up for the crowd. I would definitely recommend this to others.

  • Don't buy the most expensive ticket

Talented cast--especially the Narrator-- but the production seemed cut-rate. Still, an enjoyable night out if you don't expect Broadway quality.

  • Outstanding!!

Thoroughly and absolutely enjoyed t"JOSEPH"!! They gave an outstanding performance. In particular, the performers were very articulate so as to better follow the story line!!

  • Good, but not great

by reverendg on 10/26/15Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 3 out of 5

The show was definitely humorous, though I felt much of the show lacked polish. The mics were a minor distraction, looking like warts on the foreheads of many performers. As far as musical comedies go, We Will Rock You or The Book of Mormon are two I would see a second time. This show, once was enough. The hungry brothers scene with the utensil manipulation was a well done scene.

  • First time at the Fox & this version of Joseph

by Sherbug on 10/26/15Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

The Fox theatre was stunning but so was this production of Joseph. I saw Donny Osmond do the Joseph role and thought it was fabulous. However this is a retooled version with the choreography updated and a crisp new look. I loved it! A few of the projections didn't quite make sense but overall it was fabulous! Excellent cast and Joseph (JC McCann) was amazing! His voice and stage presence was right up there with Donny! I would highly recommend catching this touring show.

  • Dream Coat

    by 10thSister on 10/26/15Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 3 out of 5

The lead singer, Joseph, was a mediocre. The lead female singer was good, but seemed to be screeching at times. The play was good and entertaining material. I find it odd that a story from he Bible doesn't mention God even once.

  • Fast Paced!

by Vanessacc on 10/26/15Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

I loved all the extra dancing they did in this version of Joseph! I felt like I was watching Dancing with the Stars with the Joseph Theme:) Great strong voices, and loved the humorous moments too...They did great:) Thank you for another awesome night at the Fox!

  • Disappointed in recent production of Joseph

by Kathieow on 10/26/15Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 2 out of 5

Cast was weak and seemed to be rather "amateur" in presentation. So disappointed. Beginning to feel the 5/3 Bank series is not one that I would purchase tickets for again.

  • Joseph was amazing!

by RVMD on 10/24/15Rialto Square Theatre - JolietRating: 4 out of 5

Over all a good production. Would recommend it. Would recommend sitting closer to the front. Joseph, pardon the pun was amazing.

  • Worth every penny!

Had a great night. The show was just right in length, and the cast was spectacular! The dancing and music was awesome and I would highly recommend it to everyone of all age groups.

  • excellent production!

This production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat did not dissapoint. It was magical from beginning to end. JC McCann, as Joseph, was incredible. His voice and projection were tremendous, and he's not hard to look at! Laura Helm as the Narrator was just as talented. This is a hard working and very talented touring company. I would recommend it to anyone.

I had seen this play in Chicago then last year at Schuster Center in Dayton. It was pretty good at the Kuss though I thought the leads in Dayton had much stronger, powerful voices.
