    I wanted to love it

by Em on 12/12/22Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Ugh, I wish that I could rave about how great this was but it just wasn’t. He only did about 5 min of gymnastics and then the rest was him talking and doing comedy… but he’s not a comedian so lots of it wasn’t that funny or was pretty disjointed. Lots of people started leaving during the show to the point it made me cringe a few times and by about mid show I was super bored and contemplating leaving myself. Again, I LOVE JVN and I wanted to love this show but it needs some help and was absolutely not worth the $70 ticket. I had major buyers remorse on my way home.

Yaaaaas! Queen. This was fantastic. I honestly didn’t know what to expect, because like what is he going to do? Cut hair on stage?! but it was so much better than I expected! Honestly it was comedy gold and I wish everyone could have seen it.

    Highly Entertaining

by DB on 12/11/22San Diego Civic Theatre - San Diego

Unapologetic and very very funny. It's a very R-rated evening, but it was well worth it. Jonathan is a great comedian and story teller...and you get an acro performance to boot.

Wasn’t sure exactly what to expect. Lots of parts were funny. Could have been about 20 minutes shorter and it would have been perfect

I adore JVN and I had no idea what to expect from this evening…It was utter QUEER JOY and they welcomed everyone into it. It was inspiring, hilarious with an amazing gymnastics routine. The radiance they project from stage make it seem like it is just you, JVN and 1000 of your besties. An energetic and laughter filled evening!

Not appropriate for children but super funny

by Butterflymomma on 11/1/22DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

JVN was very funny but definitely held nothing back. I loved his outfits, comedy, and gymnastics. I enjoyed attending as an LGBTQ ally with another mom of an LGBTQ child. I would say the material is not appropriate for under high school age.

by AmandaHolloway on 10/17/22Old National Centre - Indianapolis

JVN is my absolute fave so I managed to get pit center seats and VIP meet & greet. I’m still over the moon from meeting Jonathon and being in the front row was also a dream come true. JVN is a national treasure.

Funny show, loved the bit about the pumpkins and the opening of the show. Don't bring young children though, get a babysitter.

    Underwhelming

by JayJ on 10/16/22Orpheum Theater - Madison

2 stars bc JVN has a great personality but didn’t deliver a great comedy show. It all felt a bit disconnected and not very intentional. Love JVN but would not recommend this show to a friend, unfortunately.
