JONATHAN BUTLER IN CONCERT:
Singer-songwriter Jonathan Butler became an apartheid hero in the ‘70s when his teenage debut single became the first song by a black artist to receive airplay on white radio stations in his native South Africa. Nearly 40 years later, he remains an enduring icon of positive social change through music, gracing audiences with his uplifting voice on inspiring performances of his early South African music and later classics like “Lies.” At his 2013 dates, Butler was joined on stage by his daughter, whose continued presence on tour as a backing singer ensures more spiritually satisfying shows in 2014.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in apartheid-era Cape Town, the precocious young Butler showed musical promise from an early age, beginning to tour at just age seven before going on to achieve success as a teen recording idol. After a stint with South African jazz-rock legends Pacific Express, Butler signed to Jive records, relocating to the UK to continue writing and recording. He achieved his biggest international success in 1987 with “Lies,” a Grammy-nominated hit that landed at No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. Over the course of his decade-spanning career, Butler has released more than 20 albums, exploring a broad range of styles including jazz, pop, and gospel. Following the release of a Christmas album in 2013, Butler is once again the road for a string of highly anticipated North American dates.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“Musician, singer, songwriter Jonathan Butler provides a solid evening of entertainment featuring songs he has written, many made famous by other stars, but superbly covered by this great artist. His musicianship is stellar and his voice always a delight.”
“If Jonathan Butler ever comes close to your location, you must go. These days his daughter, Jody Butler, is performing with him. She's an unexpected treat.”

I have always been a fan of Jonathon Butler and have said if he ever came close to where I live I would defiantly go and see him and he did not disappoint!! He is a true voice of many song styles. I loved every bit of his show!!!!!
The headline performer Jonathan Butler performed less than one hour when the other performers performed at least one hour. The weather was a little tricky , however as his guest the majority stayed just to hear him. Rain or Shine. He walked ended the concert and walked off the stage as if he was upset and that was not nice.
Great venue, staff always very helpful with any and everyone who need assistance no matter how small or large.
The Venue didn't open timely and everything was rushed, Ken Ford was the best ever, the DJ was awesome, after the long talking from the CEO it was over, he talked too long and we missed the last artist Jonathan Butler cause of the lighting and rain.
The Mable House Venue is superb. It was my first time going. It rained before I could see Johnathan Butler but Ken Ford was great!!! I look forward to going to my next event.
Had a wonderful time as always Mablehouse is a great venue All the performances were great. Ken Ford and the Violin always have me on my feet. Love love him. Najee never disappoints And Jonathan whew his voice just melts my insides. This was a great concert
My first time at Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre. I loved it. Very open, awesome acoustics and i absolutely have to always have table seating now.

Nagee went a little over and we had to watch advertising video , and then listen to the sponsor for a half hour. Was disappointed we didn’t get to hear our favorite songs . No fault of his just poor time management. My wife and I come just about every weekend and support, but this was disappointing. A lot people around us Felt the same. With this being said see you Saturday for Babyface! Praying for better time management!! Loyal Fans Jeff and Sheree
I had such a great time at the concert. All three artist are so talented and I would love to see the three of them together again, over and over and over. They all had such great energy and you can see the passion in their music. The sound quality was great and the tables were nicely spaced and big enough to put all of one's food items comfortably. I am still in awe and I cannot wait to see them again and invite 100 of my friends and associates, because this was a must see, must hear experience. Free and ample parking helps as well. It only took me just a few minutes to get out to the parking lot at the end of the concert. This was my first experience at Mable House Barnes and it will not be my last.
The Venue was very nice the atmosphere was nice the performance was off the chain I love Maple house amphitheater
This was my first time at the Mablehouse amphitheater and I must say everyone was very nice. We were greeted at the entrance gate and throughout the venue. We had a small issue with our tickets upon arrival, however the box office handled it very quickly. The show was amazing. We wanted a little more of Jonathan Butler.
Parking was a bit of a challenge as I had a handicapped person with me, but besides that, the entire experience was wonderful. Just a little disappointed in the length of Jonathan Butler's performance...not sure why that was, but the atmosphere was incredible, the weather was God sent. Thank you for he experience.
The event was Awesome!!! Eric Darius always delivers a great show. Jonathan Butler was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, BUT… Mr. Norman Brown was a Welcome surprise!!! It was our first time hearing him play, and WOW, Just WOW!!! The weather was great, the venue was nice, and we just had a very enjoyable evening.
