The artist, raised in Indiana and based in Nashville, brings all of his experiences and beliefs into each song he creates, something that is especially true now that he's the father of two young girls.

Jon released a Christmas EP in 2017 titled 'Red & Green' with two originals and his take on a few holiday classics. In November of 2018 Jon released his album 'Angst & Grace' which features 'Still My Girl' written for his youngest daughter.

In Fall of 2019 Jon released an instrumental piano album titled 'MOOD'. This record demonstrates Jon's artistry and captivates his talent as a pianist. In May 2020 the second edition of the project was released entitled 'MOOD II'. Jon wrapped up 2020 with the release of his Christmas EP 'Christmas Time' before putting out his most recent full length album 'All The Things I Say To Myself' with immediate fan favorite songs 'A Breakup Song' & 'Outta My Head'.

    Amazing venue & amazing show

by Heidiheyyy on 10/18/16Teragram Ballroom - Los Angeles

Not only did Jon's two opening acts blow me away, but Jon was amazing as well and the venue was perfect. Small intimate room for personal shows & a bar in the back where there's no drink limit. I'll be back for sure!!

    Jon McLaughin was AMAZING!

by HG16 on 10/17/16Teragram Ballroom - Los Angeles

Hands-down the best show I've seen in a long while. Jon was on top of his game - playing for close to 2 hours for all of us to enjoy and be mesmerized. Truly a show to remember and continues to linger in our hearts and minds. Jon is a stand-up guy, who is passionate about what he does, and believes in, and it comes through in his playing. His sense of humor and his ability to connect with his audience and fans is brilliant. I can't say enough about this show - it was stellar - Jon and his band were stellar! VIP tickets is the way to go every time! The Teragram Ballroom was a sensational place to see this show - great venue - will definitely be back. I hope Jon and band return to this venue - was worth the drive and the overnight stay - for sure!!!

What a show! A must see!

by ErikaFalmouth on 9/24/16Brighton Music Hall - Boston

This is my second time seeing Jon McLaughlin and when I see he is coming to Boston we are there! He is amazing! What he does on the piano is unreal! Brilliant!! I wish he was in Boston more often, we would go every time. True fan and spreading the word. Not sure why his music isn't on the local radio....can we do something about that! I feel like everyone is missing out on this guy! He engaged with the audience and was very funny in between songs. I would pay more to see him too! Cheap tickets Jon is worth much more!!

    Always a great show!

by anithomp on 12/8/15Deluxe at Old National Centre - Indianapolis

This is something like the fifth time I've seen Jon and he's never disappointed. He's funny, unbelievably talented, a great performer, and he usually donates at least some of the funds from CD sales to a charity.

An excellent concert put on by Jon McLaughlin and Tess Henley. The new music was exciting and different, the old favorites gentle and comforting. Absolutely worth it. So impressed.

    Tess Henley & Jon McLaughlin

by klee827 on 11/4/15Duck Room at Blueberry Hill - St Louis

This isn't my first time seeing Jon McLaughlin, and I always love his concerts. He is one of my favorite musicians and I always feel confident buying his new CD for not just one song that I like, but for all of them. This tour was no exception. Jon McLaughlin was great as always, but the first part of this concert at Blueberry Hill was actually somewhat painful. I love a good rock concert every now and then, but preferably not when in such a small space. The drummer and electric guitar were extremely loud compared to Jon's singing/the piano and all you could hear was the band. While his band members are good, I originally fell in love with Jon and his piano, not the rumbling of the percussion behind him. The Duck Room is a small venue and having such a powerful sound coming from the drums I felt was a bit obnoxious. Perhaps if the band finds a better balance by their next concert, I will enjoy the music more than I did this time. If not, I'll just remember to bring ear plugs for the first part of the set.

    Jon McL @Blueberry Hill

by landon51789 on 11/2/15Duck Room at Blueberry Hill - St Louis

Tess Henley opened for Jon. She is from Seattle. Her skills on the keys and synth were epic, along with her great live voice and use of loops. Great live performance. Jon was epic as always. He had a three piece band on this tour (Piano, Guitar and Drums) he did bass lines from a synth keyboard. Focusing on the new album, he played 8 new songs, then brought it back with a few from the past. The band was tight, had good strong cuts throughout and put on a great show, engaging the audience.

    Jon McLaughlin was fantastic!

by Anonymous on 12/21/1420th Century Theater - Cincinnati

I can't think of a better use of an evening!! This was my first "real" concert, and I was completely blown away. I loved the venue, with the lights and lanterns before the show, and the simple but lovely Christmas light strings while Jon was performing. Andy Davis, the opening act, was amazing; I had never heard his music before, but I've been listening to it constantly ever since. Jon was just as outstanding of a performer in person as my friends had said; I've never witnessed such an outstanding performer or pianist. He played all of my favorite songs of his, in addition to all five songs from his recent EP. My friend and I each paid $10 to meet Jon after the show, and he was charming and gracious. Overall, it was an incredible night!

Great show from an amazing artist!

by bostoncultureguy on 12/16/14Brighton Music Hall - Boston

I have been a fan of Jon for a long time and this show did not disappoint. While always remaining charming, he knows how to captivate an audience, not with tricks or dramatics, but with amazing song-writing and incredible piano playing. Either it be an up-tempo song to a heart-breaking ballad, he never fails to deliver a flawless performance. It was one of the best Christmas Shows I've seen that was sentimental without being sappy. I brought a friend who had never seen him before and she was hooked after the first song. And Jon always does his best in a small venue where he can connect with his audience. The show put me in the Christmas spirit and look forward to his next return to Boston.

    A Dream Come True

by ElainaG on 12/15/14Brighton Music Hall - Boston

What an AMAZING show and a completely unforgettable experience. Jon is so talented, the venue was intimate, and seeing him do what he's passionate about was a beautiful thing. I made a poster that said, "Jon, let me sing Summer Is Over with you!" and he brought me up on stage to sing with him! He's my favorite all time musician and has helped me heal from some tough depression and anxiety, so singing with my hero is a life memory that I will NEVER forget (too bad the drummer was right behind me though, so I couldn't hear myself sing too well...I heard myself get a little pitchy since it was so hard to hear! Drat :( ). I can't wait until I can see him in concert again; maybe he could let me come up on stage again so I can live it all over again and prove myself! :) Love you tons, Jon, thank you for everything. <3

    Great show!

by sbf79 on 12/15/14Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Jon was great! Had seen him once before when he opened for Better Than Ezra. This was his Christmas tour so I wasn't sure what to expect. He did 5 Christmas songs on his holiday album and the rest were his original songs. Love the way he talks to and engages with the crowd. Nice smallish venue for him to shine.
