JON BELLION IN CONCERT:
Jon Bellion creates eclectic, hyper-creative pop music that's undeniably catchy despite its unwillingness to fit neatly into any genre buckets. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Jon Bellion was born on Long Island, NY, and grew up focused on his love of basketball before starting to play music in high school. After graduating he studied music at Long Island's Five Towns College before his growing involvement in the local music scene convinced him to drop out and pursue his passion on his own terms. He released his debut mixtape Scattered Thoughts Vol. 1 in 2011 and signed with Visionary Music Group the following year to release a cover of Drake's "The Motto". Following his second mixtape Translations Through Speakers, Bellion got a boost when he wrote the chorus for Eminem and Rihanna's 2013 smash "The Monster". He hit the road for his first US tour in 2014, impressing fans with his a confident and at-ease performance style that belied his newcomer status. With his fourth mixtape The Definition generating buzz in 2015, Bellion will continue to keep bodies moving on his Definition Tour.
I go see Jon in Boston, MA, every time he performs along with the crew and it's always amazing. Too bad rhetorik was on tour this year. He's one of the best stage warmers I've ever seen. Wish I could of attended his concert this year.
This concert was hands down, the most amazing performance I seen. The music was unbelievable and the crowd was so intense. The venue was perfect for Bellion's style since it was so intimate. Everyone in the room was obviously a huge fan which gave the place an unmatchable atmosphere. Even the back of the room was incredibly close to the stage. I wouldn't replace this experience for the world.
Jon Bellion is an incredible, passionate artist and performer. If you can see him live, DO IT. He creates versions of his songs live and loops them and it's so cool to see it all come together. He's also super interactive with the crowd, which makes the concert experience a whole new level of dope. He spotted a kid in the crowd with a Yankees cap during New York Soul pt. II and he went up to him and traded his Bellion cap for it. However, The Culture Room venue kind of sucked and impacted the whole concert experience. It was VERY small and cramped, and it felt like there was way too many people in that room... Definitely a fire hazard lol. Also, at one point during the concert, the audio stopped working. There were a lot of technical difficulties with the evening, but Jon was a really good sport and made the best of it. Bottom line--Jon Bellion gets five stars, the venue gets one. Unfortunate circumstances with the venue, but terrific artist. I would be willing to drive out to Orlando to see him next time!
This is the best live show I've ever been to. Jon is a true superstar without the ego. You can see the joy in his face. Everything he does musically just works. The chemistry he has with his friends on stage is electric.

Jon Bellion puts an entirely different twist on his live concerts. You think the albums are amazing but just wait till its live. Also the fact that everyone in the room is there for the same reason as you makes the atmosphere that much more enjoyable and fun. Thank you Jon for giving your music all that you have and doing all that you do for your fans! Beautiful Mind!
What can I say, the show was such an amazing experience, and this is coming from somebody who drove from NYC to Boston for a Jon Bellion show. The venue was cool and the entire atmosphere was also great. Getting to see this with my cousins at a couple of friends from Massachusetts also made this trip worthwhile. Blaque Keyz and sonreal was also a great way to open the show before Jon Bellion came and perform, which was incredible. Overall, if you listen to Jon Bellion, you need to go to one of his performance
This was my second time going to Jon Bellion and I loved every second of it. He keeps the same momentum as he did for the last concert and the crowd was even more wilder. The entire Beautiful Mind crew put out yet another amazing concert and I hope everyone enjoys it just as much as I did for the tour ahead. Having SonReal apart of the opening acts was a great choice to as now I have new music to listen to.
I loved when Jon Bellion came out and did his performance, but the whole rest of it was pretty terrible! It was supposed to start at 7pm, but we did not get let into the Royale until 7:10pm, and we had to wait there for half an hour until the opening act came out. After he was done, we had to wait another 15 minutes for the NEXT act, and another 15 minutes after HIM for Jon Bellion. It was just a lot of waiting and standing around.
Every year Jon Bellion comes to Boston I've had the opportunity to go and some how each year his concerts keep getting better and better. Perhaps it's his unique blend of hip-hop/pop/electronics or perhaps it was his solo where he looped his voice to sing every instrument and beat. Jon Bellion brings soul and passion to all his shows which is something that seems to be lacking in this "cookie cutter" music industry we have. It won't be long before he is playin arenas soon so go to a small venue show while you still can. Nothing beats the intimate setting you get with the crowd, artist, and band. BEAUTIFUL MIND.
Not only have I seen Jon live before but I've also opened for him and my favorite part about his shows is not only him, but the fans. There's always such a great atmosphere when he's in the building. I had never been to The Royale in Boston and it's a BEAUTIFUL venue with wonderful staff. Everything was top notch and professional. And one time for Blaque Keyz and Sonreal for warming up the crowd like CRAZY. Was not expecting the openers to be so good! If you haven't seen Jon in concert yet you need to do yourself a favor and go. And from personal experience, you have to go in Boston!! No crowd is better!!
Best concert I've been to. Period. Great crowd, incredibly versatile talented performer who you can tell lives music. This was my third time seeing Jon in Boston and I've been blown away every time. Looking forward to next year!
A natural musician who creates all his own music from scratch. Has a true passion for creating music for others. I will definitely be at all concerts performed near me. A must see artist before he gets really famous.
Jon has been my hero for a solid year and a half. I am so happy I got to go to his concert. His live shows are UNBELIEVEABLE. His songs sound different live but both recorded and live are equally amazing and unforgettable.
Jon Bellion is the best, but unforunately, the audio quality at the Paradise Rock Club did show off his talent. I would definitely see Jon Bellion again but most likely at a different venue next time.
Jon was amazing. Finally got to see the legend in person. If I could I'd go to his next show just to take it all in again. If you like his recordings you'll love him live. Can't wait for the next one.
Jon Bellion was unreal. Not only was his performance incredible, he created the best concert atmosphere I've ever been a part of. His energy was unparalleled, he was humble, and his voice is out of this world. It's only a matter of time before every one knows and loves his music and his work. He is more than a performer, that man is an artist. It was a privilege watching him last night.
