  • Joyous Jon

by ArnowAve on 10/1/18Tilles Center - Krasnoff Theater - BrookvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Jon Batiste was a breath of fresh air. He is a talented musician that embraces his audience. Jumping off of the stage and involving the audience was so much fun. Our time with him flew by. We would gladly see him again.

  • Like a great party with close friends!

by PoorerRichard on 10/1/18Tilles Center - Krasnoff Theater - BrookvilleRating: 5 out of 5

We enjoyed the kick off tour concert for Jon Batiste's new album Hollywood Africans last night, at LIU Tilles Center's new venue the Krasnoff Theatre, also enjoying its first show. Amazing doesn't do the evening justice. It was a cross between a private Master Class, a boisterous neighborhood Second Line, and a session with an engaging Zen Master. Jon's phenomenal keyboard chops were evident as he performed the best performance of Joplin's Maple Leaf Rag I have ever heard. His soulful, introspective version of Louie Armstrong's Wonderful World was a show stopper as was his song Don't Stop. He had us all on our feet, dancin' and singin' and forgetting the ills in the world for those precious hours. Find out where his tour's heading and grab up some tickets! He is a true healer, this guy!

by Jackmick on 8/6/18The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

my daughter and I attended. it was so much fun. One of the best performances ever. They performed like we paid for it even though it was free. Even did an encore of three songs when the crowd wanted more. Thanks so much for this wonderful experience and the weather held up. perfect night.

by Saltylinda on 8/3/18The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Jon Batiste and The Dap Kings played and anazing first show at pier 17 New York City. The energy of the band flowed to the audience to create a completely engaged audience. One of the band members Star was celebrating her birthday and Jon brought her to the front of the stage to wish her a happy birthday. Jon Bastile ' s kindness and talent was apparent all night.

jon was great. he played an array of music. the blues that he played was the highlight for me. everyone working the rooftop at pier 17 was very helpful, professional and friendly. the great views of nyc.. I had never seen the city from that view.. also, amazing screens that seemed more than 3D I couldn't have asked for a better evening and am thankful that I was able to attend.. jon, looking forward to the next time that I can see you.. the rooftop, hopefully you will have some of the great concerts that are held at the beaches. example jones beach.. it is too far and difficult to get to. Happy we have a great venue here now.. thank you for an unbelievable evening.. all my pictures and videos are on my phone sorry

  • Fun night at a great new venue!

by WilECyOT on 7/31/18The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Jon Batiste played a fun unscripted set that sent good vibes all through the crowd. The energy of the band and the showmanship were a blast. The backdrop of the Brooklyn Bridge made that much more special. Small issues...The sound system was iffy at times, but that is what a soft opening is for. It would be nice to have someplace to sit in the back instead of just plopping on the floor. Too bad the event ended relatively early, but have to imagine there are neighborhood rules. All in all...good job Ticketmaster at having a Verified Fan Community Event. Keep the tix in the fans hands!

  • Great venue

I was lucky to get two complementary tickets for Jon Batiste. I've been a fan of his for a long time. The venue is great, just wished there were seats. Great addition to the seaport.

  • Pier 17

by Stuman1 on 7/31/18The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

The new venue is very nice with the backdrop being the Brooklyn Bridge. Beer prices were reasonable although tax should be included 2 beers should not be $8 each plus tax. Either make the beer $8.50 or $9 including the tax. The show itself was enjoyable, they covered fats Domino as well as Sam Cooke. This show as standing I hope in the future they consider seats, I would have to think twice about going to a standing room only show.

  • Jon Batiste and Dap Kings...wow!!

by QuanYin50 on 7/31/18The Rooftop at Pier 17 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert, great venue. Jon Batiste is one talented guy, a keyboard virtuoso, song writer, vocalist, etc. The Dap Kings are always great. The rebuilt Pier 17 at South Street Seaport is gorgeous. The light, sound, and audiovisual stuff was great! And it was all free!

  • Jon Batiste and Stay Human... EPIC.

by missmaelstrom on 4/1/14Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Without a doubt the most inclusive and exciting concert experience of my short life. This concert had EVERYTHING... singing.dancing. jazz.. blues. funk. pop. singing on tables. dancing on tables. a parade. wine glass percussion. penny whistles. Basically all the things. I am quite anxious for the band to return to the DC area.
