  • A Very Short Set

by Jeano on 6/22/24The Salt Shed Outdoors (Fairgrounds) - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

We were expecting a great evening enjoying an obviously gifted talent, Jon Batiste. He took the stage fashionably 15min+ late, no problem with that, and he and his band did not disappoint. But an hour later, before 9pm, he was waving goodbye. The crowd seemed a little confused. An encore followed and then he did a New Orleans style walk thru the crowd, both downstairs and upstairs. This was the shortest set we have ever heard short of a rainout. It was like a festival set would be featuring successive artists, such as at Bonnaroo where they were headed next.

  • Don't Miss His Show

by YoongiGirl on 6/18/24The Salt Shed Outdoors (Fairgrounds) - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Energetic from jump! The joyfully played "Butterfly", "Freedom", "Drink Water", Fats Domino with his great band and amazing back up singer. He ended by going through the crowd with his Melodica. I got some amazing footage when he stopped to play in the premium seat area. Would relive every minute of this concert into eternity.

  • Mixed feelings

by Stu on 6/17/24The Salt Shed Outdoors (Fairgrounds) - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

Great performance by Jon B. and band, energy, acoustics, audience engagement, etc. on a beautiful Chicago evening. However, the show was short for Salt Shed standards, not to mention 70+ yo rockers performing for twice as long. Given the cost of the tickets, not a great value in the grand scheme. We walked away happy to have seen Jon perform but candidly disappointed by the abrupt end.

  • Time Change + Short Set

by Shane on 6/17/24The Salt Shed Outdoors (Fairgrounds) - ChicagoRating: 2 out of 5

To move up the start time by 30 minutes, only for Jon to come on 15 minutes late, and for the show to end at 9:15, for an 1.5 hour show is ridiculous.

  • Great show but Very short!!!

by Jamie on 6/17/24The Salt Shed Outdoors (Fairgrounds) - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

I know the artist gave his all but I was in shock when he was announcing he’d play only 2-4 more songs It started at 7:45 and was done before 9:30 That’s absurd for the cost $$$ of it and effort to get to and from venue

  • Left before the show was over

by Disappointed on 6/17/24Saint Louis Music Park - Maryland HeightsRating: 2 out of 5

I will never attend a show at this venue again. The sound system was so horrific, our seats shook from the reverberation. Why so loud??? Others around us said the same thing and were moving back to try and escape the sound. So disappointing as I love Jon Batiste. We left before the show was over. As seasoned concert goers for decades, my friend and I never experienced anything like this. Terrible!!!!

  • Great Concert

by Alinstl on 6/17/24Saint Louis Music Park - Maryland HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

Loved the concert. It was a joyous experience. Jon appears to be so personable and connects with the audience. We had a wonderful time and would recommend everyone to go to one of his concerts. It was an uplifting experience. We noted that the St. Louis stop was not on his t-shirt. Just an observation. He is forgiven.

  • Incredible Performance and Great Music

Jon Batiste was a absolute joy and the Salt Shed was a great venue for him. Something about his delivery and music touches your soul in a way many musicians simply can't. I'm now an official fan!

by KatieMaGoo on 6/16/24The Salt Shed Outdoors (Fairgrounds) - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Great show! Such a genuine talented artist. He connects well with everyone and there is nothing about him to not love. Nice assortment of music and great musicians in his band. The singer he had with him was a bonus! Big voice and so good! Nothing could have made this show better.

  • Fantastic show

This was one of the most electric, uplifting and energetic shows I have ever seen. Jon Batiste is an amazing performer with a fantastic message. Seeing him outside at Salt Shed was great. It was a transformative show.

  • Great artist at a good venue

by Dan on 6/15/24Saint Louis Music Park - Maryland HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

Jon Batiste was absolutely fantastic. You could feel the energy and the love "in the room"during the concert. Everyone was energized. The venue was cool. Only downside is there seemed to be bass speakers under the "bleacher"seats and it caused a lot of rattling and static. If I go to that venue again, I'll sit on the floor

  • Delightful

by JM on 6/15/24Saint Louis Music Park - Maryland HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

Jon Batiste is always a pleasure to watch live. He loves what he does so much and it shows with every song. He’s so emotional and powerful with his music. He truly is a musical genius and shows his appreciation to his audience. I can’t wait to see him again! He really pulls at your heartstrings 💕
