Jon B was awesome sounds great loved the new edition tribute just a great performance by a true singer.
5star show from a excellent singer & performer!!!!
The performance was remarkable! It will be one to remember.
The venue didn't not inform patrons that the restaurant was closed and no food service would be available. In addition, the venue didn't have adequate seating for its patrons nor was it appropriately staffed. The valet service was rude and did not allow enough time for patrons to get in and out of cars. The performance by Jon B was lackluster. He started late and there were moments where he had angry rants. He also sang more covers of other people's songs than his own. Lastly, the show ended on a failed attempt to create a soul train line.
My friends and I didn't get the chance to see Jon B when he came to town last year, and we did't get the chance to go. However, we made it to the concert this year. Jon B was awesome. It definitely took me back the 90's, and he performed all of my favorites. He performed for about an hour and a half, and definitely gave the crowd our money's worth with his show.
He still looks good and he still sounds pretty good, but he struggled to fill his time. If you are really a Jon B fan I would suggest the show, but if you are new to his music I would skip it. He kept doing covers of other people's music interspersed with a few songs of his own and he didn't bring us any previews of new material.
Show was good, even though it started 40 mins late
If you are a fan of 90's R&B, go. If you won't mind an occasional throwback of old school music (like 'Before I Let Go' or similar), go. The only reason I didn't give him a higher rating is because the talking in between was a bit much. What I mean by talking was more like venting. But, overall, great show...And he can really sing.
I took my mother in law with me to this. It was the best surprise for her for Valentine's day she loves Jon B. The whole event was AWESOME!!! Something we both will always remember!!
He is so talented, great show for the grown and sexy!
H-Town was the ONLY reason Me and My Wife went. They had all the hits. Jon B......Not so much, for Us. Nobody around to show Us to our seat. Had to figure it out on our own. No appetizers but made sure they had alcohol. I know We are at a concert, but the Woman behind Us kept screaming and falling out in the seats. She made her way to the front for Jon-B, Head security saw Her doing way too much and sent a very inexperienced officer. For almost 5min He tried to get Her to leave only to walk away without Her. Sad, We left.
I love Jon B. I seen him numerous times and will continue to see him when he comes out to Cali! I wish he played longer when he plays at these concerts with multiple artists. I wish he can come out solo so I can enjoy more of his songs.
Jon B was okay. Because his songs are so good, he was entertaining. He's not a great performer. I wasn't very entertained. He really has no show, just plays his hits exactly as they are, but he does that well. I was disappointed that my favorite song, Don't Talk, was awful. He sped it up and it just didn't sound like the song, and he didn't do anything special or different with the song. I play Don't Talk on the treadmill everyday. I will keep doing that. I'm happy that he is out performing. It was my first time seeing him. I wanted to get out and party and have some fun. I did accomplish that, but just because I was with my favorite person, my husband. He needs to up his game, perform, enhance the songs. And the prices at The Howard Theater are ridiculously high!!
Seeing that Jon B is my second male favorite artist I have no regrets seeing him again when he came to The Howard Theatre. I enjoyed myself and the songs he performed.
Went to see Jon B as gift to my SO, she was a fan and I was lukewarm...not knowing many of his songs. The show was very good, he made the effort to give a entertaining show. Was surprised the crowd was not giving back the energy-(X-Mas) he was giving out. Definitely would recommend anyone seeing Jon B....he can without a doubt still sing as if it were the 90's
I loved about 3-4 performances of his original songs. Went on iTunes to find one of them. Could have been more original music though. Brought back a lot of old school memories!!
I've been a fan of Jon B for a long time but had never seen him live. Wow! I never knew he was a talented musician as well as a great singer. He took the stage looking fine and sexy dressed in a black suit. I'm so glad he took the time to dress to impress, because for me that's part of the experience. Jon B brought an amazing show! He was in great voice and sang his biggest hits as well as some nice covers from other artists. His live band was great too - also a plus, rather than those instrumental tracks that are being used so much these days. Thank you Jon B for an experience I'll never forget!!
Had a wonderful time! Jon B. puts on an amazing show everytime! His interactions with the crowd was awesome! Love this dude! I recommend his show to anyone!
I go everytime when he is in BBKings or anywhere in NYC. I love him forever and ever. I just recommend that he plays more and more songs. His band was great maybe while people are waiting for the greatest they should play old school music and have the audience sing the words. There should be a meet and greet with Jon B I will 100000000000% pay extra to meet him. I am 25years old & he old school but I love him no matter what. November 11, 1974. He is everything! I notice when you do purchase the ticket it says $65 for balcony but there is no balcony in BBKings.
