I didn't really know what to expect since I haven't heard anything new from him in years. I wish I had listened to some of the newer music just so I could go there knowing all of the songs. At first I was really into the music, but then later on, I started getting a little bored. But I think he saved himself when he started doing covers of other people's songs. When he performed MJ and Hall and Oats, that's when everyone "woke up!" All-in-all, it was a really good show, and he knew just what to play to keep the crowd moving.
He sounds just like does on his cds and he's sexy!
This was by far the best concert of the year!! My group of 10 that went enjoyed it very much! I will absolutely do it again.
I ENJOYED THE SHOW VERY MUCH. I WAS WITH MY DAUGHTER AND A FRIEND. IT WAS MY DAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY AND SHE ALSO HAD A GOOD TIME.
I have been waiting for years since I was first introduced to Jon B in the nineties to see him in concert and finally getting to see him at BB Kings was definitely worth the wait.
We were very happy with the show. The price was great and the performance made us feel like he really wanted to be there. I love it when an artist sings the songs I know and love, that's why we come. My friends and I sang for most of the show and he is funny in between songs. He played to the entire room, not just the folks down in front. I would love to catch him again.
Jon B was definately missed from the scene.... I have been a huge fan since the peek of his career when he was first styling with the part in his hair Lol. He had a great band with him that also helped make a great performance, not to mention his "cool relaxed" skills with the throw back keytar Lol.
This was my first time @ BB Kings to see an artist perform and for the most part, I really enjoyed the show.
Show was phenominal! He gave this performance his all, sounded incredible, and was kind enough to take pcs with me and my girls backstage. WHAT A NIGHT!
I thought that Jon B.'s performance was soo smoove and sexy. He is a very talented musician who is very under-rated, and he's been in the game for a minute!!! I loved it!! I wished that the concert could have been longer and alittle bit more intimate. But thats not his fault. Bottom line Jon B. was amazing!!!!!!!!! I would definitely go see another performance.
Jon B. was truly amazing!! He has an outstanding catalog and I can't wait to hear what's next from this talented brother.
The event was simply great. Performing past and current material, Jon did an amazing job getting the crowd involved and showcased his overlooked talent. While many more popular artist prefer bigger venues, the fact that he performed at this location just proved how much he just loves music. He also performed with a live band and there was absolutely no lip singing at all and not to mention no autotune. From start to finish the show was incredible and I wish there were more like this guy in the music industry. Enjoy chris brown, enjoy the lack of creativity and originality but I know what my ears are gonna continue to listen to.......Jon b.
Let me first say that this was the greatest b-day present I ever had. I have been a big fan of Jon's for many years, I have all his cd. He was great, his performance was outstanding, he was enjoyable to watch. I danced the whole entire time. Not once did I want to sit down( I am paying for that today, but well worth the pain!!!). Thank you Jon for great music.
Jon has an uniqueness about his performance. The venue was great and he was the realest performer I ever saw. Keep up the good work Jon B and BB King!!!!

I left after 2 hours. I couldn't stand to be there for more then 2 hours. I would have NEVER went if I knew I was gonna have to sit through 2 hours of local talent. A horrible comedian whose jokes were only funny the first time I saw them on comicview. A singer who i actually thought was decent, but the sound system was so bad I coulnt truley enjoy. Then another sing which did a cover of some Tank songs.... after they said we have a 10 min intermission I was ready to get out of there. LAME... will just count my 25 as a loss and move on.
Oh my god the show was great I can't wait til he comes back to KC I love him
