Sounded great! Great set list but no encore. Kind of disappointing
This was awesome. John Waite is incredible. Can't wait to see him again.
We had the BEST time seeing John Waite. He was engaging and funny and so into the crowd and we were into him. Couldn't stop cheering and didn't want the show to end. . His energy was contagious and that voice was WOW! HE can deliver with every note with his songs. It was crazy fun! It was easy to see he was enjoying himself, his band and the crowd. We'd see him again.
Wow what a memorable night! John Waite was amazing! A fantastic show! Powerful and so much energy! Every note was spot on! An hour and 30 minute show felt like 5 minutes! We could have listened all night! It was a real treat! Thank you John Waite, raw talent and amazing band!
played longer than i thought he would, hits from the babys, bad english, and solo carerr. had a super time.
The only thing I disliked was the seats. They were all hooked together and the seats are not very wide so if you happen to be by a larger person it is really cramped. The show was great and I wasn't even aware of the opening act. I would advise get there early because parking is kind of limited at the venue.
John's voice was spot on and his band is a small group of great musicians. Great show!!
John Waite was fantastic! Age has nothing on him. I just wish the show had lasted longer. Played most of his hits, but I was hoping for me. Definitely go see him if you were a fan of the Babys or Bad English. Loved it!!
John Waite Rocked the house With his classics and also a great version of Whole Lotta of Love from Led Zeppelin. I wasn't expecting much and I left extremely pleased.Good job John!
Great show and vibe from John Waite and his band at Talking Stick. Smaller venue and we were close to the stage so it felt like a private party. He was on time, on key and on fire. Great set covering songs from all of his distinct musical eras and with great energy and authenticity. Also a couple I hadn’t heard that were also heartfelt and beautiful. Go see him while you can, you won’t regret it.
John Waite always puts on a good show the show on March 8th 2024 went way beyond all expectations. It was all electric with a great guitar player and John played most of his really big hits solo with the Babys and with Bad English. The upgraded showroom at the Talking Stick Resort Casino is posh and perfect for an intimate concert.
First show since the showroom was renovated. John was outstanding. Hard rocking, energetic and had the crowd dancing, singing and enjoying his artistry from the first song. The venue though? The renos removed the theatre seating to now leave only conference room chairs, it’s smaller and a bit tighter than old layout, no wall at the back between the room and casino (only a curtain), led to casino noise filtering into the showroom. Layout of the chairs could be staggered next time so you look between chairs towards the stage, otherwise view can/will be obscured by person directly in front. I wish they hadn’t renovated, it was a better space before. Will think long before going to another show in this room because of the room itself. The other spaces (Ballroom, Pool)at TSresort are all better for shows in my estimation, which is too bad because the Showroom used to be a gem space.
First time seeing John. I was NOT disappointed! The show was absolutely fantastic! I was able to get John's autograph on my Baby's album that I've had for decades! And I got a guitar pic to top it off! By far the best experience I've had at a concert in quite a while 😀
He and his band play "Bad English", "Babys"and John Waite solo career hits, I also purchased a CD signed by John Waite.
I thought John Waite gave it a great go…His voice was still great at 71 years old. Played all the songs I wanted except ‘Isn’t It Time’. Loved how he did a bunch of Baby’s songs. My one critique would be it’s too bad he didn’t have at least one female back up singer and /or another person in the band that could do some better back up vocals. I’m guessing this may be why he didn’t do ‘Isn’t It Time’, as it requires lots of female backing. It seems like he could get like a female bassist or something that could semi pull it off? Maybe they are harder to come by than I think.. To his credit, he even tells the audience “they are unfortunately on a budget”, so I do understand it. Overall if you like John Waite, and/or the old Baby’s stuff, definitely go see him…good show.
What a fun time. The ladies were dancing in front of the stage while the audience sang along to every song. John Waite has so many hits, and he made an effort to cover as many as he could in the time allotted…and did such a great job. He still has it, sings great, and is still obviously having a blast performing. Cheers John!
The performance brought back great memories! John sounded great and still belts it out after all these years. The musicians in the band also stood out despite letting Mr. Waite have the spotlight. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening!
Absolutely the best show I have been to yet, I've seen them all recently. Styx, cheap trick, REO Speedwagon, John Waite did not disappoint absolutely fabulous, his voice was great, the songs were great. Having great seats didn't hurt either second row left.
The opening act was Frank Viele, he was an amazing guitar player and his song were very creative and great. John Waite was amazing!!!!! His voice is still in great shape for a young man of 71. His band was on point. We had an amazing time.
I was hoping to get a compact song list of top hits that were sung much like the original song sounded like. That didn’t happen. Heard a lot of songs that I’ve never heard before. The songs were a different version. For some reason things were changed up and almost unrecognizable. We ended up leaving halfway through the show. I think he is a good singer, but they were limited by the low budget band without any background singers, it was a lot of talking, and the songs you wanted to hear, weren’t played like they were on the radio
