  • Great Show/Great Voice

    by Lisa A on 3/5/24Victory Theatre - EvansvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I wish the concert would have been promoted better so maybe more people would’ve thought about going. John Waite’s voice is still awesome, just like the 70’s and 80’s! Loved seeing him!

  • Reliving my youth

by Terry on 3/3/24Rating: 5 out of 5

He played every song I ever loved of his and he is still awesome. I'm so thankful I got to see him during my lifetime.

  • Incredible!

by Stephanie on 2/25/24Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - MontgomeryRating: 5 out of 5

Was super excited to see him in concert since I am a huge fan of the Babys, his solo career and Bad English. He has the gift of "signature vocals", you always know his voice of which he is one of the lucky ones to still be able to sound the same after all these years. The show was incredible and he gained energy as the show went on, and ended with Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love into Montrose Rock Candy. He gave out guitar picks at the end which I was fortune enough to get a couple and share with my friend that came with me. He played all the popular songs you want to hear, but there is always more you want him to sing! I would definitely go see him again, one of the best shows I have seen in my life and I am an avid concert goer. Thank you John Waite for an awesome evening of music!

  • John Waites voice is as strong and clear as ever!

by B. Tilley on 2/23/24Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - MontgomeryRating: 5 out of 5

Fabulous. John Waites voice is as strong and clear as ever. He was incredible. The band was tight. Drummer was awesome, like metronome. Bassist played as hard as he would have in 80's. Lead guitar was fabulous. We had to drive to Montgomery, AL, because we were busy at Christmas, and missed him in Knoxville, because that was closest to us in Tricities, TN. It was worth the 7 hour drive.

  • John Waite still has it!

by live music lover on 2/20/24Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - MontgomeryRating: 5 out of 5

John Waite still can rock with the best of them! At 71 years old he still has amazing energy and stage presence. He played his hits as well as some great covers. So glad i got to see him perform.

  • Not a great experience

by Jill on 2/20/24Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - MontgomeryRating: 2 out of 5

Either the sound mix was bad or our 3rd row seats were not ideal. Also the spotlights were in our eyes a good portion of the concert. Surely the lighting guys could see they were blinding people down front.

  • Just as I remember

Great to hear the old tunes. Great show. I even remembered ALL the words to most of his songs.

Loved the John Waite show, he sounded amazing, and the smaller venue was excellent!

  • Great Concert

by Angie on 12/14/23Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

John Waite puts on a great show and still sounds like he did 40 years ago. Go see him if you get the chance! I only wish there was merchandise available for sale, and I'm wondering if the venue was demanding a huge cut of their proceeds. Anyway, I'll be going to the John Waite website to buy T-shirts and more. Loved this concert.

  • John Waite rocks!

One of the the best shows I've been to. He still has the voice and looks good!

  • Good time

by Jandy on 12/12/23Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

John and the band were terrific! The venue not so much. We were too close to the person sitting next to us; touching shoulders and thighs. Personally made me uncomfortable.

  • Timeless singer

  • John Waite

by Tim on 12/11/23Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

John Waite was good in concert. His voice sounded really good. The only thing I would point out to the negative side is a couple of his most popular songs sounded like they were really missing something which was the keyboards.

  • GREAT JOHN WAITE SHOW in KC

by Laurie on 12/11/23Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

John Waite walked on stage and delivered hit song after hit song with his great rocker voice and style! His voice was one of the first I heard on the radio in the late 1970s (as a kid) on his hit songs with THE BABY'S group, then the group BAD ENGLISH in the 1980s. Special to hear his worldwide hit "Missing You"sung in person. He has the best rocker style at the microphone all these years. It makes me smile. Rockers gotta rock. His voice is captivating and strong. He was friendly, fun, engaged, and seriously provided 1-1/2 hours of back to back hit songs. I could see him glance at the crowd to see if we were dancing and singing and taking us in. He thanked us twice for attending his last show of 2023. And he wished us a Merry Christmas and yelled out "God bless America", etc. It showed he was so glad to be in front of crowds after that awful pandemic kept him at home. He loves being with the fans and it shows. Mutual love all around!

  • An Amazing Songwriter and Singer

by ClayBowler on 12/11/23Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

I can't say enough how much I enjoyed seeing John Waite again. Waite is truly one of the great voices of rock, and an amazing songwriter. He has lost very little from the first time I saw in 1990. It's amazing that his voice is timeless and doesn't seem to age. He puts on a great show and has a great appreciation of his fans.

  • Mr. Waite is SO AMAZING!

by Gina on 12/11/23Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent show! I attended the meet and greet as well. DREAM come true. I hate the Ameristar venue, though, because they want people to sit like adults. Obviously no one told them how to ROCK SHOW!!

  • Not worth the time

by Craig on 12/11/23Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas CityRating: 2 out of 5

While John's voice is strong, the songs did not remotely match the pacing of studio recordings. When will these artists realize that we want to relive the 80's and sing the songs the way they were written? Additionally, when a song has female backup singers, at least have their backup tracks playing with the song. When you are expecting to hear 3 female voices singing backup, and instead get a rough male voice, it completely ruins the songs.
