  • Felt Lost

by TEEPEEROCKS on 12/5/11GLASS CACTUS NIGHTCLUB - GrapevineRating: 3 out of 5

I really like John but the set list had only 5 songs I knew. Two at the beginning, then a whole bunch of filler 1 of which was Bob Dylan song? I figure the reason there wasn’t more Babys music was because he didn’t hire a female back up singer, a voice prominent in Babys songs. I split the price of a reserved table so @ $75.00 plus ticket price I felt short changed. I will say even though I didn’t like the set list. John voice sounded great.

John Waite's voice sounded as good as ever. His performance at the Glass Cactus was great. The setlist spanned his career in the music industry including songs from the Babys and his latest solo effort. The show was well worth the price of admission.

  • John rocked the house

    by Journeyman11 on 12/4/11GLASS CACTUS NIGHTCLUB - GrapevineRating: 5 out of 5

Johns voice was great! His stage presence was just like it was 10-15-20 years ago. He is the definition of ROCKSTAR...

  • one of the best voices in rock

John showed up and proved he's still one of the best vocalist in all of rock.

  • John Waite @ IP, Biloxi, MS

Very well playing! Great show. Only played for an hour. Wished he'd included some of the Bad English songs. He did play some songs off of his new album and they were pretty good!

  • John Waite @ GLASS CACTUS NIGHTCLUB Grapevine Tx

    by PeterGunn007 on 12/4/11GLASS CACTUS NIGHTCLUB - GrapevineRating: 1 out of 5

John stumbled around a LOT, forgot verses and lost his place in many songs. He also never stopped fumbling with his guitar settings all nite.He rushed through song after song as if he had some where else to be. I have seen John 4 times each time seemed to be worse than the last, it will be the last time i drive 200 hundred miles to see john Waite...

The Opener Malea gave a wonderful performance! I have been a long time John Waite fan. His voice has not changed since I saw him over 10 years ago.

John Waite put on a great show!! Played all the hits!

  • Great but too short

by Thai47 on 9/26/11IP Casino Resort and Spa - BiloxiRating: 4 out of 5

John Waite can still rock with the best of 'em. He still plays a lot of the Baby tunes in which he is famous for and also his best solo hits. And trust me, it was jam in it's purest form. However, he only played for just over an hour and did not come out for an encore even though the crowd was trying their best to get him back out. Oh well, since the tickets weren't all that much, I'd say my wife and I got our money's worth.

  • So good!!!!!!!

by DrDebraGibson on 9/20/11IP Casino Resort and Spa - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

I was lucky enough to see John Waite 20 years ago. He had just as much enthusiasm now. So impressed!!! Brought back a lot of great memories. He is a wonderful performer and his voice is incredible.

  • Short set/No encore!

by Reverend1 on 9/20/11IP Casino Resort and Spa - BiloxiRating: 2 out of 5

Sad. Traveled to Biloxi, Ms from Florida. John only played for an hour and failed to come out for an encore. Although I have his new CD which is great, I expected to hear some classic Babys and Bad English. Only played about three Babys hits and no Bad English.

  • He couldn't waite!

by JPPJPP on 9/20/11IP Casino Resort and Spa - BiloxiRating: 3 out of 5

First let me say that I absolutely love John Waite. I've only seen him live once (10 years ago) put have 5 of his albums. I traveled 2 hours to see him this time. He absolutely rocked it, especially with his rendition of Bob Dillon's Watchtower! Here's the problem. The concert started at 8:15 or so. John played for 30 minutes and then left the stage while the dummer did an extended solo. He came back and rocked some more. At the 1 hour mark, he announced, "Thank you, went to the edge of the stage and started slapping hands. The announcer said "John Waite everybody" and he left the stage. Well I wasn't worried because last time (10 years ago) he did the same thing and came back to play another hour! Guess what....not this time. People were chanting his name, so after about 5 minutes, the bass guitar player came out and said "Something happened, he's not coming bacK" and left the stage for good. Woww?!? less than an hour of concert? Isn't that refund time?

  • Short Waite

by ArtyBB22 on 9/20/11IP Casino Resort and Spa - BiloxiRating: 2 out of 5

John Waite's performance was very good for the most part but far too short. Paying $75 for tickets I expected more than 1 hour of music (5 minutes being a drum solo). We were not alone, the crowd was also very disappointed. I know you always leave the audience wanting more but this was a joke. As hard as he was pushing the sale of his new CD he should have stayed longer,

  • Great as usual

by DROD1 on 9/19/11IP Casino Resort and Spa - BiloxiRating: 4 out of 5

Great mix of solo career music, music from the Babys, and outside influence music. Show was too short due to casino rules but John Waite under any circumstance is still good. Miss the Bad English music from the set. Only reason the overall rating is not 5 stars is only due to short set but not his fault.

  • John Waite a waste

by Rockergd on 9/19/11IP Casino Resort and Spa - BiloxiRating: 1 out of 5

He sounded good once he warmed up a little then walked off the stage after 1 hour and 5 minutes. Two hour drive for 1 hour and five= screwed!!

  • John Waite good for an hour

by Kikdee on 9/19/11IP Casino Resort and Spa - BiloxiRating: 3 out of 5

Ok he sounded great but for no reason ended the show after only playing an hour? If that is a regular occurrence on this tour I would have liked some advance notice. I don't think it was worth driving 2 hours to only get an hour of entertainment.

  • Forgot lyrics

by urbanski on 9/19/11IP Casino Resort and Spa - BiloxiRating: 2 out of 5

Was very disappointed. The band was great, John Waite's voice was great, but he continually forgot lyrics and was constantly looking at his setlist. At the end when he was supposed to do an encore he came out, performed one song, then just walked off. Audience kept expecting him to come back out, but his guitarist came out and said "We had to stop" and that was the end of the show.

  • John Waite rocks!

by suz1 on 8/2/11St. Clair River Fest - St ClairRating: 5 out of 5

John Waite was amazing as always! I have seen him live about 20 times and he never disappoints. The most under rated artist ever.
