  • No time to Waite !!!!

by VeriteAbsolue on 6/14/11Manship Theatre - Baton RougeRating: 4 out of 5

Very intimate setting....325 seat venue. Loved every moment of it. John's voice is truly amazing...great vocalist. Very tight backing band....played all of the hits that made him famous. His new music was well received and sounded great.

  • He still brings it

by artful on 6/8/11The Plaza Theatre - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

John Watie still brings his passionate voice to the stage after all of these years. His new music is hip, edgy and full of energy. His ballads still tell a love story. Then when he plays his hits from the 80's, we are reminded just how fortunate we have been for all of these years. A playful showman that makes the audience feel so close to him.

  • Fantastic show!

Nice venue, small but still spacious feeling, food was ok. Not a bad seat in the house and the sound was great. John Waite put on a great show, even the new tunes were really good. Excellent show for the money, will definitely be looking to go to this venue more often!

The show was a lot of fun. John sounds just as fantastic live. He is a very personable, sweet man, and a wonderful showman. The Showcase Live staff was great. Our waitress was so much fun and very attentive.

  • John Waite truly worth the wait!

There is a picture in the dictionary next to the word "voice". That picture is of John Waite. Have not seen him perform in quite awhile...this was worth the wait! This is a singer/songwriter/musician who performs with a wide range of emotions. His music paints pictures and tells stories. Songs of lost love, songs of being loved ,songs of having a good time and living life to its fullest. His voice is as great now, as it was when he was with the band "The Babys"! John's band sounded fantastic! He had Kyle Cook(from Matchbook Twenty) on guitar, Tim Hogan on bass and Rondo on drums. This band sounded tight! John played guitar on a few tunes as well. This is a must-see show! Pickup the new cd by John Waite.."Rough & Tumble"! You my friends, will not be dissappointed...I promise..It is a classic!

  • John Waite w/Kyle Cook rocked!

by carlottapluvsKyle on 3/5/11B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great! I am a huge Matchbox Twenty fan so I went to see Kyle play. I love the new cd Rough & Tumble and especially the songs Kyle wrote with John. The night was filled with old & new and it all worked incredibly. Kyle was on fire on lead guitar and John's vocals were spot on. I would recommend everyone go see them if you can. You will not be disappointed.

I made a trip from the Philly suburbs to Times Square to see my childhood idol, John Waite. 3 friends and I made a day of it, taking in a Broadway show and dinner at Lucille's. Definitely eat at Lucille's before a concert, the food was great. More importantly, John Waite was AMAZING. His voice was crystal clear. He and his talented new band mixed songs from their new CD, Rough and Tumble, (which were so good I bought the CD after the concert) with his top hit crowd pleasers, along with songs of my youth from The Babys that made me and my gal pals get up and dance. I continue to be a lifelong fan, while he and his band made new fans out of my friends. One listen, and you will be hooked.

The show was amazing! John's voice still makes my hearth melt! So good to see and hear his new music and of coarse Missing You and When I See You Smile. The venue was a great location, nice and intimate. John, we missed you...

  • Can't Waite for the next show!

    by concertjunkie79 on 7/21/09Hayloft - Mt. ClemensRating: 5 out of 5

John Waite and his band always connect with the audience. How cool was it to select Mt. Clemens as a stop on his world tour. The Hayloft is such an intimate setting and John took full advantage.

  • John Waite at the HOB Anaheim

by Rundleman on 7/19/09House of Blues Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 4 out of 5

One of the most underrated singers of the last 3 decades, John Waite was in great form at the House of Blues in Anaheim, Ca. Singing songs from his days with The Baby"s, Bad English and his solo collection of hits, John sounded as great as ever, taking his fans on a trip down memory lane. His voice was as strong as usual and the backing band was tight and on the money. I first saw him perform with The Baby's in Santa Monica in the early 80's and have seen him live several times over the years with my wife. We both enjoyed the show immensely and would highly recommend his show to anyone that enjoys straight forward Rock and Roll and some of the greatest power ballads ever sang by anyone! Thanks again for a great show John and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

John Waite's performance in Anaheim proved to me that the former lead singer can still deliver the hits & may be one of rock's most underrated singers from the 70's & 80's ....... Head First & Midnight Rendezvous rocked ....

  • John Waite - Fantastic Intimate Show

by Siouxtoo on 7/16/09Hayloft - Mt. ClemensRating: 5 out of 5

As a longtime John Waite/Babys fan, I was really looking forward to this show and it was even better than I had expected! John's vocals were spot-on and his backing musicians, especially the guitarist, were amazing. The best part of the show, aside from the fact that I was right against the stage (within sweat-dripping distance!) was the set list. My two favorites, "Everytime I Think Of You" and "Isn't It Time", both pulled out of the old Babys catalog, were included, as were all of John's classic solo hits. I had a fantastic time rockin' out to all of the songs I remember from back in the day...
