    Highly recommend John Tesh show

by JolietGrandma on 12/14/12Rialto Square Theatre - Joliet

I highly recommend The John Tesh Christmas Show for anyone who enjoys Christmas music from the big band era. Everyone on stage including John Tesh was enthusiastic and upbeat. The audience really got into it and it was over all too soon.

    A disappointment

by DisappointedColorado on 12/11/12Arnold Hall Theater - USAF Academy

This concert was definitely not what we expected. We thought we would hear John Tesh playing the piano and enjoy an evening of holiday music. Tesh sang more than he played and the big band section made hearing the piano (when it was played) almost impossible to hear. This was their first show of the tour and it also sounded like more practice was needed, there were several times when the group was out of synch and out of tune. We left at intermission - as did quite a few other people. It was a true disappointment. Be warned that you need to plan for extra time when going to this venue (Arnold Hall Theatre, USAF Academy). There was a long line backed up at the entrance gate and there is not enough parking near the hall so you have to walk quite a way or take a shuttle bus from the visitor center parking lot.

    Wonderful festive event

by Momela69 on 12/9/12Arnold Hall Theater - USAF Academy

We were wonderfully surprised when the the event started a tiny bit late. There was a bad accident, which caused more than half of the audience to be late. John Tesh recognized that, and had his pre-show guy continue to entertain for an extended time. Overall, it was a wonderful evening, full of an amazing amount of talent, from Mr. Tesh, to each musician. He got the audience involved, brought a little girl up on stage, and performed for almost 2 hours, with a small intermission in between. If you like Big Band kind of music, this will take you back to a memorable time in American history, in Christmas fashion. Worth every penny!!!

    Outstanding program and performance!

by jodimark on 10/24/12Pepperdine University - Malibu

This was a planned event to help celebrate my wife's birthday. We drove up to Pepperdine from our home in Carlsbad. I personally have been a fan of John Tesh since his numerous TV days on Entertainment tonight and also while listening to his radio programs, and I have one of his CD's and his book on living. Having said all of that, I had no idea of what to expect in attending this performance. I saw no advance information as to any particular agenda for the program. So my wife and I simply sat back and watched, and WOW what a performance. To begin with, and I guess to end with as well, John reached back to my early days of listening to music on the radio (Before TV) and adapted some of the Big Band music to his group of 15 very talented musicians. And from beginning to end my wife and I were so impressed with the sound they were able to produce. We loved every minute of it, and the two + hours seemed to go by all too quickly. It was just fantastic.

John Tesh was more amazing than I anticipated!

by Chefbartrd on 9/18/12Carolina Theatre - Durham

Any and everyone who enjoys piano music should definitely see John Tesh. His genuine personality and raw talent were far better in person than I could have ever imagined. You certainly get your monies worth; he played for over 2 hours. He spoke so honestly and candidly about his childhood. He captured you from the start and continued that excitement throughout the show. Phenominal person! Phenominal show!

Tesh & the Big Band was fabulous!

by nursedj on 9/18/12Carolina Theatre - Durham

John Tesh and the Big Band was incredible. We had a wonderful time. He was so personable and shared lots of stories of his family and life here in North Carolina (which I did not know). The selection they played was great and even after the show was over, a section of the horn muscians came out on the sidewalk and played ' When the Saints Go Marching In" for several minutes. Loved it!!!!

John Tesh - I LOVE your BIG band swing!

by kittyanntoo on 9/17/12Carolina Theatre - Durham

Simply put John Tesh has the voice, the talent and an awesome band behind him to make for one of the most enjoyable shows I've been to in a long time. The tickets were reasonable, the venue delightful and the music fun fun fun! While I'm not old enough to have grown up during the time of big bands (my parents did) I love the music just the same. I highly recommend this show to any one who enjoys big band, and especially John Tesh. He was a top notch show man as always, kept the audience engaged with banter and antics in-between songs. AND, if that wasn't enough he gave away three iPads during the show! Go to the show if you can!

John Tesh and his band were wonderful! They were very personable, and John himself made me feel like a was a friend instead of a fan. The only problem was that the concert had to be cut short because of the weather, and no one could help that. The coliseum event staff were very polite and tried their best for the concert to continue, but that was not meant to be. I hope that I get to see John Tesh again, and that maybe someday, his radio show will play on a station here in theP iedmont Triad.

John Tesh Found His Groove in Greensboro, NC

by Ditto4Rush on 7/23/12Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

The night was one of excitement and the Big Band Sound was right on. If you were able to stay seated and not getting up and dancing, you were at best tapping your feet. John get down with the audience which was really a nice touch. He took a wireless mike and walk out in the crowd, dancing with the ladies, stopping to take a picture or two. But I'm hoping that he stays with the Big Band Sound for concerts to come. But well worth the money spent.

    GREAT SHOW, BAD RAIN!

by MTPleased on 7/23/12Greensboro Coliseum Complex - Greensboro

It was a wonderful and easy concert, very refreshing. It was a BUMMER about the rain and having to shut the show down due to the lightening. IT was so good and I did not know what to expect, BUT I am a fan. Already recommended it to folks this AM>

Great show up until a storm moved in. Sad that I had to leave the event early. It cost a lot for those tickets! Oh well. The show itself, of what I saw, was good... except John should cut his hair. It's too thin to keep trying to do the long hair thing! lol
