Fantastic to see him a second time at Jimmy's Jazz and Blues club. He played a completely different set which is refreshing! Loved that he opened with Blue Monk and did a version of All The Things You Are. Was hoping to gear A Go Go....maybe next time.

  • Pros having a great time

by bluesharpbob on 12/10/15B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Two solid pros having a blast playing a great variety of classic tunes. Their joy was contagious, it was a great night.

  • Very good show

by JohnnyDowy on 12/8/15Carolina Theatre - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

With two most excellent musicians like John Scofield and Jon Cleary you really can't go wrong. After listening to Jon Scofield for yeas, to finally see him playing in person was a must have experience. I highly recommend this performance. I only recently started listening to Jon Cleary, but really enjoy his music very much. Would love to see a full band show with him.

  • A Dynamic Duo

by Jazzear on 12/7/15Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This was the third time that I've seen John Scofield live, and the first for Jon Cleary. They were both in top form, and meshed perfectly together. I also enjoyed Cleary's anecdotes about the music. This is one of the best shows that I've seen at the Howard.

  • Scofield can jam!!

Great night, some jazz and funk, some really good guitar playing - loved it.

  • Uberjam Deux

by RJS420 on 9/29/13B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Scofield is one of the best guitarists to walk the face of this earth. This show lived up to that statement.

  • John Scofields Hollowbody Band was a great show.

It was great seeing Scofield and Stern together. I hope they record.

  • A little over the top

by tdechill on 8/7/10Belleayre Music Festival - HighmountRating: 2 out of 5

After hearing both Joe Lovano and John Scofield in other, individual concerts, I had a certain expectation. It was not met! The new quartet is playing totally improvisational jazz. Think of "Bitches Brew" on steroids. Sorry, just not my cup of tea.
