  • Amazing show!!!

by Jess on 9/8/25Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I love the new material. I saw John Mulaney live in Toronto for the Baby J tour and the new material for mister whatever does not disappoint. He’s such a great comic and always puts on a fantastic show. The smaller venue in Toronto was also very nice. I could clearly see him from closer to the back and didn’t have to watch a screen to see his facial expressions the whole time, which was nice as someone who could never afford the front row. 10/10 would wholeheartedly recommend.

  • Non-stop laughs for two hours

by Tektektek on 8/15/25Cross Insurance Arena - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Our third time at Cross Insurance Arena, and we finally are getting the hang of parking and getting into the building. Now, for the acts: 1. Warm-up: Okay, but depended entirely on f-bombs... okay, maybe not entirely, but he used one, then laughed at his own use of it. Some good observational humor, but not my style. 2. Mike Birbiglia: Laugh-out-loud funny humor about life, especially married life with kids. His closing story about going down in an airplane with his wife was hilarious and rang so true in so many ways. 3. Fred Armisen: A complete change of pace from the first two acts- dry humor, which required some thinking and paying attention. Even a non-musician could get into his "Guitar Chords Around the World"and "The Universal Drum Solo Pattern"and sit back and laugh. 4. Norm Kroll: Unknown to me coming in. He was also incredibly funny, I don't recall a lot of swearing, good stuff. 5. John Mulaney: Vulgar at times, but not in the "in your face"way as the warmup comedian. Great family stories with relatable events and people. His SNL Broadway sendups are classic, but this material was just as good. Overall, even considering the face that the warmup guy was not my style, I'd give it 5/5 stars. Three side notes: * They were VERY strict about phones being off during the show- and during the show meant from the time you entered the arena, even before you got to your seat. They were lenient so you could actually USE your phone to show the staff so they could guide you to your seat, but after that, if they saw a phone, they came up to you and said put it away, even before the show started. * The show started late and without much of an explanation. We're not talking 5-10 minutes, but closer to a half-hour. Still, the show did go for about two hours start to finish. * The parking garage is convenient but, like most parking garages, incredibly INCONVENIENT to leave. Still, it wasn't that bad, just be patient and don't be like some people honking their horns on the third level up, like it was going to suddenly cause the garage to grow an extra ramp off the side just for them.

  • Exceptional Performance

by DrT on 8/14/25Bethel Woods Center for the Arts - BethelRating: 5 out of 5

Mulvaney was amazing, Birbiglia and Kroll were super as well. Well worth seeing!

  • Over the Top

by ImperialBedroom on 8/13/25Cross Insurance Arena - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Loved every minute of this 3-hour show. Four comedians at the top of their game and one up-and-comer. I consider myself lucky to have been there and so pleased to have brought my nearly 15-year-old son! A memory that will last a lifetime.

  • The best to do it

by corv on 8/12/25Cross Insurance Arena - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Mulaney is a once a generation genius when it comes to stand up, his ability to weave the absurdly fascinating with the mundane into a grossly enriching monologue is otherworldly. Plenty of comedians can tell a good story, many can put on a suit and hop about on a stage, but no one can do it the way Mulaney can. The way the audience cheered you’d think they got to see the second coming of Christ, and comedy wise this is pretty close I suppose. Not to mention the preceding acts from Kerman, Birbiglia, Armisen and Kroll were each 10/10, professionals who earned their status. I hope this set makes its way to Netflix so I could share it amongst my mates, what I’d give to relive seeing it. Everyone should go see it

  • Fantastic, Funny

by Michele on 8/12/25Cross Insurance Arena - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

The security personnel were chill and professional, very patient. All the acts were top notch and Mulaney was super. It was nice to see the other performers even if it was briefly, lots of laughs, tight sets and different kinds of humor--unexpected and fun. I wasn't sure Mulaney would give a full set but he certainly did. So fantastic. Really great seats.

  • outstanding performances and venue

Really loved all the comedians. John Mulaney was hilarious. Great venue also

  • John Mulaney

by Kaleb on 8/12/25Cross Insurance Arena - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

The show was incredible. The comedian lineup was so great so many laughs. However the venue was underwhelming the seats on the floor so close together and not super comfy. Also the staff they just stand in front of you and just watch the show was a little bit of a let down having to watch a screen instead of seeing the comedians you paid to be on the floor and up close. However Nick Kroll and John were amazing and so wasn’t everyone else!

  • A night to remember!

by Brad D on 8/12/25Cross Insurance Arena - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

John (and Nick and Mike and Fred) were absolutely spectacular, what an event! My wife and I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. I would’ve paid the amount I did to see just one of those four, let alone get a stand up act from all 4! Incredible show.

  • Great

by Dap on 8/12/25Cross Insurance Arena - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

What a funny show. All the comedians were hilarious. The chairs at the Cross Arena leave something to be desired.

  • Obstructed view not warned

by Mana on 8/12/25Cross Insurance Arena - PortlandRating: 3 out of 5

Our seats were Sec C Row 23 Seats 1 and 2. The giant screen next to the stage obstructed our view of the stage. Had I been warned of that, I would not have picked those seats. The show was entertaining however the seats were not what I had expected.

  • Comical genius and delightful guests

by Meghan on 8/12/25Cross Insurance Arena - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

John Mulaney is always an amazing performer. What was extra special about this show was also getting to see the standup of Fred Armisen, Mike Birbiglia, and Nick Kroll. I am now a huge fan of these comedians as well!

  • Very organized from Parking to chair pick up.

by Mamma's Cookin' on 8/11/25Bethel Woods Center for the Arts - BethelRating: 5 out of 5

Plenty of staff on the road to direct you to the right place. Easy to pick up chair rentals. Good food concessions to choose from. Good visual and sound to showcase performers. Easy exiting from venue

  • Really great sophisticated comedy. Beautiful night.

by Dragon66 on 8/11/25Bethel Woods Center for the Arts - BethelRating: 4 out of 5

I love the environment at Bethel Woods and the weather was absolutely perfect. The acts were excellent. The opener was decent and the headliners were great. I’ve never been a big fan of Nick Kroll, but he killed. Mulaney is a lot different from his pre-rehab days - much darker, but his stuff is incredibly smart and very funny, if in a completely different way.

  • Didn’t stop laughing

by Ali von on 8/11/25Bethel Woods Center for the Arts - BethelRating: 5 out of 5

Been a long time fan of John Mulaney and he did not disappoint in person. Nick Kroll was one of the openers and our stomach hurt from laughing. It was non stop once John came out, I’m still laughing about how funny he made some jokes that were simple everyday topics

  • So FUNNY!

by Carter on 8/11/25Bethel Woods Center for the Arts - BethelRating: 5 out of 5

The venue is so beautiful. If I had known previously, I would have planned more time to be there before the show. All the guys were super hilarious and we thoroughly enjoyed their performances.

  • Hilarious new material

by JFigs17 on 8/11/25Bethel Woods Center for the Arts - BethelRating: 5 out of 5

John Mulaney continues to display his comic genius. The new material for Mr. Whatever is fresh and extremely funny. His delivery is crafted to perfection. A must see show.

  • Laughed so hard I was crying!

by Bkitty on 8/11/25Bethel Woods Center for the Arts - BethelRating: 5 out of 5

How can John Mulaney be so relatable to a 66 year young woman??? And how did he describe my old workhorse dryer to a T? 😂 Thank you John, Mike Birbiglia, Fred Armisen and Nick Kroll for an evening of silliness that I needed so badly!

  • slamming show from start to finish

by billymedusa on 8/11/25Bethel Woods Center for the Arts - BethelRating: 5 out of 5

from the relatively less known opener Langston til John's last joke the whole show really brought the laughs for everyone, a nice bit of local reference and great energy from the audience really made this a stellar night out that we were talking about for days.

  • Never get tired of seeing JM

by MSDesign on 3/20/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I have seen John Mulaney multiple times and he fails to disappoint. I already saw him perform this material in another venue but I can’t get enough of him. I can’t wait until his next tour!
