Warner theater was nice, Mulaney was great, good night!
Hilarious show, Mulaney and his opening act Seaton Smith were both fantastic. The show was great and I highly recommend going.
I love John Mulaney's standup. His TV show isn't that great, so I was worried about this performance, but I was basically laughing non-stop the entire show. It was 100% new material, which is good since I probably have his first two specials memorized.... Definitely recommend seeing it.
John Mulaney's stand up show was fantastic. Though he has released two albums in the past, most of the material was brand new and hilarious. I liked his mix of making fun of the crowd and telling us stories in his own unusual way. He also didn't harp on his recent sitcom - he just made one joke about it then moved on.
I've seen all of his comedy specials before so I was nervous that it would be material I've heard before, but luckily it was all new! If you've liked his sense of humor before you'll still be happy. Much better than his TV show!
In stitches the entire time. Great crowd interaction, awesome material. Highly recommended. Seaton Smith (opening act) equally as hilarious. Do not miss this show!
This is the first time I have seen Mulaney in person. I think was just great! But as great as he was, that's how painful his opening act, Seaton Smith was. I'm not sure what possessed Mulaney to pick Smith, but it was a little like an "open mike" night. He seemed to be trying, but just not connecting!
After obsessing over his hilarious stand-up specials for months online, I had high expectations for this show; and John Mulaney did not disappoint. He kept me laughing the whole time, often to the point of tears. I wish I could go again. His opening act, Seaton Smith, was also great.
John Mulaney is the master of joke delivery and one of the funniest standup comedians today. Mulaney's witty, slightly self-depricating style is both brilliant and hilarious. This show is not to be missed.
John and his opening act were extremely funny. Had a great time!
He was hysterical and the DC specific bits were great.
Absolutely great! Would definitely go see again!! He was absolutely hilarious and it was all new material
Had a great time at the show - roughly equal parts old material, new material
John Mulaney was funny and I laughed so so so so much.
John Mulaney was funny as always. Lots of repeated material but with enough new stuff to keep it interesting, and he's great at making his shows local to the audience and making changes on the fly. Recommended to see.
Classic Mulaney. It was hilarious and tickled my fancy. If you like Mulaney you will like this.
Great night! Love john mulaney! It was my first time at the Wilbur and I had a good time!
John Mulaney put on a hilarious and fully quotable show, had everyone in stitches, and did not repast any material from his Netflix special which was a nice surprise. Seaton Smith's brief opening was an unexpected icing on the cake as his politically fueled ranting was spot on and wildly funny. Overall great show and great value and I'll definitely be seeing John again if he ever comes back to Boston.
Mulaney did the same material as last time. It was still a fun time, but 70-80% of the jokes he told, I already heard. The opener was great though.
I have loved John's standup for a while now, but he is by far funnier in person. His nuances of movement and expression are unforgettable. His story line comedy style is grand and descriptive, and punch lines often sneak in to punctuate small pieces of over arcing narrative. Seaton Smith was hilarious and pushed the boundaries of tension with the audience perfectly. His routine was fluid and effervescent.
