Absolutely awesome concert. John Berry puts on an amazing concert!
this was a wonderful concert to see it not a frill or extravagant, stage it just the basic stage with the performers This is the 4th time I seen him and it just wants you to come back again, and after the show he came out to the lobby to talk to his fans and take photos.
My husband and I love going to see John Berry when he comes to Kalamazoo, MI. He is wonderful. Love his music, his stories, his band, his family and his Faith.
I truly enjoy John Berry's music and performance. However, the "sales pitch" in the beginning was extremely irritating. The piano player tries to be funny which he is not and his sales pitch is terrible. I would recommend John mentioning his products and the availability of them just prior to the intermission. It was like having someone trying to sell you a used car and you haven't even looked at it yet. .I am surprised John is comfortable with this type of marketing
No one sings 'Oh Holy Night' as well as he does! What a voice!!
The show was amazing. The state theater is a perfect setting for this kind of night. The show was great and John Berry's rendition of O' Holy Night was once again the highlight although the tears started already with the Lord's Prayer. Having this strong Christian singer give his testimony and demonstrate it as well in his life makes all the difference.
We enjoyed John Berry's concert, but found the lights that periodically shown at the audience to be very annoying. It really distracted from the concert as you were blinded for no understandable reason! Music was great, lights were not!
I have attended John's concerts on several occasions and have never left disappointed. He is an amazing talent and a beautiful spirit. I always feel that he gives all that he has for each performance and includes the audience in the whole experience of his music. I definitely would recommended seeing him.
Show was wonderful! It was great hearing John sing some of his past hits and the Christmas songs. John also stayed after the show for a meet and greet and signed autographs. Can't wait until he comes back!
No one sings (O Holy Night) like John Berry!!!! I finally got to see him in person!! He was Wonderful!!!! One of my favorite songs is (Power Windows) from John. Due to medical bills 17 years ago we had to sell a new Truck for an 87 truck that had No power windows and No power brakes! The song is powerful and means a lot to us!
An amazing talent! The first half of the concert was a combination of his biggest hits and songs from his most recent CD. The second half was Christmas music with some songs off his newest Christmas CD as well as others including his excellent rendition of "O Holy Night". We had seen his Christmas show last year for the first time, and when he came to a venue near to us, we decided to attend this year. Well worth the price of admission.
John Berry's show Sunday night was unbelievable. I had wanted to see him for a long time and finally got the chance. His previous hits as well as his current songs were great and the Christmas songs after intermission were fantastic. I would have loved to have heard one or two of his previous hits but the show was great as it was.
Great voice, and wonderful family friendly entertainment!
The best John Berry Christmas concert I've seen. Great Christmas songs.
It was a great show as always; our 8th trip to Kalamazoo State Theater. It is after all Christmas, celebrating the birth of Christ, but I wish John were less 'preachy' about the whole thing. I know he wants to share the joy he has found in his religion. I also know he is a truely fantastic vocalist and entertainer who truely connects with his audience. I would vote for less preaching and more singing. With that said, he performance was very moving from his Country songs to the O Holy Night. We heard him sing this with his voice alone one summer at the Ionia Fair........I got chills. In the concert at the State Theater I got chills again when he sang it with his small band. Here is a vocalist who can sing soul, pop, country, and Christmas music with his voice working for each style; his voice hasn't lost an iota from the 1990s when the radio played his songs. If anyone gets a chance to go to this show....do it! You'll see what I mean.
Had a great time will definatley go again. Would love to hear Oh Holy Night acapella, totally the best I have ever heard.
I attend the John Berry Christmas show each year and have always enjoyed it. He has the most incredible voice and is so personable and relates to his audience. I thought he was less friendly this year and wondered if he wasn't feeling well. He did not talk about family as much and I missed his stories. However, the music was fabulous.Jo
John Berry has an absolutely amazing voice. Plus, he's a real person who shares his life in song. Every person in the audience is important to him. The meet and great is like reconnecting with an old friend.
Great concert! He has a beautiful and powerful voice!
