  • Always a great Christmas show!

    by JBfan88 on 6/17/10Kalamazoo State Theater - KalamazooRating: 5 out of 5

John Berry's Christmas show is ALWAYS sold out!!! The effort he puts into a show is amazing. When he plays here it feels like a one on one concert. I love that his wife tours with him so they are always together! He is one to see!!! I have been going to his concerts since he started playing in the 80's! :)

  • I love John Berry

I've seen John's Christmas show 3 times. I love his voice and the sound was very good. I'll go see him anytime I'm able. My only complain was the venue. First we had to stand outside in the snow until the time the concert was supposed to start. I got a great seat in the middle of the 3rd row so I really loved that. It was soooo cold here that we had to keep our winter coats on the whole time.

  • John Berry Concert

    by JBFan36 on 12/24/09Main Street Armory - RochesterRating: 3 out of 5

The concert itself was amazing, as usual. John Berry and his band are always a great show and every Christmas, when he comes to NY, my friend and I go. She is probably one of his biggest fans. The venue, on the other hand, leaves alot to be desired. If you where not prepared to sit outside in the meddle of winter in NY, then you were not prepared for this venue. I myself had three layers of clothes on plus a jacket and gloves the whole time we were at the concert. Very large space and very, very little heat. That does not mix well in December in Rochester, NY. I can't imagine how this site came about!! He would have had so many more places to choose from.

His Christmas show is always a show not to be missed. The passion he puts into his music makes him one of the best performers for sure. The only down side to the show was the venue. Acoustics were not good and it was COLD!!! But his voice warmed it for sure. Great show.

  • Awesome, a must see

This is the 3rd John Berry Christmas concert we have been too and have never been disappointed in the performance. His voice is breath taking. The armory where it was held was very cold! I was warned to dress warm but I would bring a blanket next time. I would sit in the cold again to hear him sing but they should stock up on hot chocolate for those cold nights!

I can't say enough about John Berry. His Holy Night is the best in the world. No one comes close to him. His voice is spectacular. I love the fact that he has his wife join him on stage.

  • Inspirational!!!

As always, John, was in amazing voice. No one can sing "Oh Holy Night" quite like John. He is an inspiration and his stories are very heartfelt. Can't wait to see him again!!

  • John Berry - no one better!

by kshay on 12/17/09Main Street Armory - RochesterRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was more than I expected, even though I have seen John Berry once before. His music is beautiful - I especially liked the Christmas songs, as this was a my only Christmas concert this year. He is fascinating - every song seemed to have story from his life. The only disappointing part was the venue - I had never been to a concert at the Armory before and I doubt that I will ever go again (in the winter) because it was COLD!!!! and the only way of warming up was to sit near a radiator, which were in the food area, and there were only 3 or 4 of them!

  • Great Show!

It was a fantastic show! The Armory was a little cold this time of year, but the music warmed your heart! John Berry's voice is a little piece of heaven!

  • John Berry's Christmas Show

by TWBEE on 12/17/09Main Street Armory - RochesterRating: 5 out of 5

Christmas arrived in a very cold, very snowy Rochester, NY last night in the form of John Berry's Christmas Show. More than 2 hours long and filled with every one of his hits and a second half that embodies the true meaning of Christmas! John's voice gets better every time I see him and his ability to tell a story is unmatched. John shares his family, his friends and his faith and you are sent home with warm heart, a spring in your step and a greater understanding of the blessings to come. Give yourself the gift of this show, you will not be sorry!!!

It was truly a beautiful show! The opening band was also great and I was not familiar with them. The only problem was with the venue, the old armory was pretty cold! It was only in the 20s out so if you weren't sitting next to the heaters then you were a bit chilled. The music was great, can'y ask for a better voice than that of John Berry!

It was the best concert I have ever been too. He is such a nice man. A lady fell and he came out to check on her AND he prayed with her. AMEN, a man thats not afraid too talk about the lord. My husband loved it.. He shook his hand and talked to him. My 12 years old didnt know who is was. Now she has his songs on her ipod and phone. She had her picture took with him. She is showing all her friends where he signed her phone..lol. we done plan on going and seeing him again god permitting and taking a church bus full with us. ohhh yes, my daughter wants to go too.

  • okay, Christmas can come now!

If you've not heard John Berry sing "Oh, Holy Night" already this year, I suggest you find a concert or a cd quickly! My heart is truly touched every time I hear it, but when my brother leaned over and whispered, "Okay, Christmas can come now!", I'd not heard it better voiced. Having followed John's career for well over 20 years, it was so good to see that his soul is still in his music. Just as much fun was to see Michael back on stage on bass - the man is incredibly talented!
