JOEY BADA$$ IN CONCERT:
In 2012, Brooklyn-born freestyle prodigy Joey Bada$$ leveled hip-hop fans with his swagger-infused poetry as an opening act on The Smoker’s Club Tour. Just a year later he was headlining his own shows, bringing a polished intensity to his performances that belied his recent arrival on the scene and elicited rave reviews from new followers and concertgoers. Whether he's performing solo or joined by the Pro Era crew, Joey's throwback style and stripped-down approach will continue to hit the mark on his upcoming tour dates.
SNAPSHOT BACKGROUND:
Discovered as a teenager through a self-made YouTube clip and signed to Cinematic Music Group in 2010, Joey's career has been on the steady up-and-up. After blowing the minds of hip-hop fans in 2012 with his breakthrough solo mixtape 1999, he has maintained a sonic assault of fresh material, including 2013's acclaimed Summer Knights EP. Joey and his Pro Era crew are whip-smart and socially aware but can still throw down and party, and they'll continue to represent the front line of this generation's dialed-in lyricists and beat makers on their upcoming tour.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"With this performance, Joey made hip-hop look great."
"Joey Bada$$ bringing a whole new realm of realness to New York!"
“Joey Bada$$ was awesome. The show was full of energy and I enjoyed every minute of it. I would definitely recommend seeing him to anyone that gets the chance.”
Joey put on a great performance. Drinks were too expensive tho.
best concert i’ve ever been to easily. vibe was so good and everyone was having a good time.
Joey really knows how to put on an outstanding show and really connect with the crowd. Very peaceful and easy to vibe to as always. I happened to get his towel at the Chicago show recently which is super dope. You won’t be disappointed after seeing Joey... Pro Era!
The venue was gorgeous, the talent was entertaining and it wasn’t too crowded. I’d love for cheaper drinks. Those were way too expensive. Overall, a great experience.
Joey Put on a great Show! He didn’t just rap!! He gave us a show and vibed with us on a spiritual level. Pro Era
This was such an amazing concert and I hope to see joey at a bigger venue next time bc he deserves it :')
Joey put on stellar performance while battling being sick. He gave us an hour and a half of high energy performance. The live band was a nice touch. I’d also like to add he held it down with no hype man and didn’t rap over his vocals. Great live performance. Well worth the wait.
It was great to be up close to the stage, (about 3 rows of people back from the gate). There were some people in the front having issues breathing due to the moshpits behind us pushing us forward. About 10 people had to be pulled out throughout the show, but for a concert like this, you have to know what to expect. Joey was great to see live and the set list was amazing. 8/10 overall experience.
The concert was lit, but crowded at times which made it hard to move and sometimes breathe. Security did a good job checking on everyone and passing out waters which made the experience more calming. I’m old, so I left during the second to last song. Overall great experience, will be seeing Joey again. For the older crowd, get the balcony seats!
Joey Badmon definitely knows how to put on a show. Took us on a journey from his early days up until now and you could see and feel the growth. He really connects with the crowd and that made everyone more engaged during the show. Would absolutely go to another show. 10/10
It was a night of good vibes, a lot of classics and a few new bangers from the upcoming album.
Joey the Goat. My favorite artist and he performed a little bit of everything. He's the best for real.
played old albums, more recent albums and new unreleased music along with some verses that he had on other artist songs such as WSG, X, etc. One of the best shows ive seen at TLA.
Im just happy i met him during meet & greet , the opening act could have been better , but i still enjoyed the show
I loved the show it was so amazing! thanks for coming out to philly!
Love this show! I was up in Montreal during the Jazz festival. I showed my girlfriend the lineup for the days we were going to be here and she was super excited about Joey Bada$$. I didn't really know much about his music, while she's been a fan for a while. I really loved this show, the ambiance was great, MTelus really did it for me, I loved where I was sitting, the view was great and Joey really killed it!! I would definitely attend a show again if I can, and I definitely will be watching the shows that are going to the MTelus venue.
Front stage. Joey played all his best songs. Energy was amazing.
Only complaint is that the wait time in between opening acts was a little much. Show started at 8 and Joey didn't come out till about 10:40, but at the end of the day he gave a great performance. He was energetic and interacted with the crowd. If your a Joey fan and enjoy most of his catalogue seeing him live is a must, but if your not much of a fan and only like a few of his songs you might not enjoy it as much. But I would highly recommend. BEAST COAST
The concert itself was awesome but the meet and greet was not worth the price.
This was honestly one of the best shows I've seen at center stage. The openers were great and Joey killed the stage!
