About

JOEY BADA$$ IN CONCERT:

In 2012, Brooklyn-born freestyle prodigy Joey Bada$$ leveled hip-hop fans with his swagger-infused poetry as an opening act on The Smoker’s Club Tour. Just a year later he was headlining his own shows, bringing a polished intensity to his performances that belied his recent arrival on the scene and elicited rave reviews from new followers and concertgoers. Whether he's performing solo or joined by the Pro Era crew, Joey's throwback style and stripped-down approach will continue to hit the mark on his upcoming tour dates.

SNAPSHOT BACKGROUND:

Discovered as a teenager through a self-made YouTube clip and signed to Cinematic Music Group in 2010, Joey's career has been on the steady up-and-up. After blowing the minds of hip-hop fans in 2012 with his breakthrough solo mixtape 1999, he has maintained a sonic assault of fresh material, including 2013's acclaimed Summer Knights EP. Joey and his Pro Era crew are whip-smart and socially aware but can still throw down and party, and they'll continue to represent the front line of this generation's dialed-in lyricists and beat makers on their upcoming tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"With this performance, Joey made hip-hop look great."

"Joey Bada$$ bringing a whole new realm of realness to New York!"

“Joey Bada$$ was awesome. The show was full of energy and I enjoyed every minute of it. I would definitely recommend seeing him to anyone that gets the chance.”

Joey Bad kills the venue, as expected

by Hfield1111 on 9/30/14Paradise Rock Club - Boston

Was very excited to see Joey Bada$$ and the rest of Pro Era this past weekend! Had heard great things about the venue, but honestly the precautionary measures they took seemed a bit over the top. Then again, the show was for all ages, which can require necessary screenings, but the tickets said the concert started at 7 and when I got there, there was a line stretching around the block and security were telling people the actuall show didnt begin until 8. Didnt get into the venue until 8:21... But hadnt missed anything, and Nyck Caution didnt gon on for another few minutes. Caution and the rest of Pro Era killed their setlists, a great job by the whole squad, but people were becoming restless by the time Cj Fly began to perform. They wanted to see Joey! And sure enough he came out about 15 minutes later and the crowd went crazy. His setlist essentially covered his whole body of work, in addition to the 4 new songs from B4DA$$ that he played, which sounded great. Joey performed for about an hour and 20 minutes, and he worked the crowd to well that by the end i was absolutely gassed! At one point, someone slithered past security onto the stage and ran at Joey, and the Bada$$ himself tackled the guy to the ground! Not only that, but he picked up the next line right after doing so! Toward the end of the show he had the crowd moshpit, which was interesting to say the least... Overall it was a great show and i enjoyed it very much. Highly reccomend seeing Joey if he stops by in your town!
