    Great night of laughs!

by Zaps on 7/11/09Cape Cod Melody Tent - Hyannis

I was so excited when I heard that Joel McHale was going to be in my area. I absolutely love "The Soup" and his live act is just as great. He told jokes about celebrities and his home life. Each one let my laughing a little harder. Definitely worth the money and any distance you might have to travel.

Another good show from Joel McHale

by Jordan198 on 7/11/09Cape Cod Melody Tent - Hyannis

This is the second time I've seen Joel and he was very entertaining both times. He has a lot of good references to his show, The Soup on E!. But he also does some very good observational comedy in addition to that. He holds everyone's attention through out the entire show.

Joel. was. amazing. period. He was absolutely hilarioussss! I had the best time. I wasnt sure if he would just do his soup material but it was great that he went into his own life! Everything about his performence was spot on :D The only thing I had a problem with was the openning act. He was not funny at all, everything he rapped about made no sense and was stupid. I wont hold that against Joel though since he was obvii better than the Anne Frank guy :P LOVE YOU JOEL!<3 chicks mannnn

    WOW Joe Mchale Rules

by Munchie on 7/11/09Cape Cod Melody Tent - Hyannis

We watch the soup faithfully every Friday night but nothing could prepare us for how funny Joel was in person. Not only was the show whitty and hilarious after wards if you purchased a t- shirt he posed for pictures and signed your shirt. I was in awe of how down to earth and genuine He is. He is a class act all the way which is so refreshing. I have seen Seinfield , Jim Gaffigan, and Artie Lange live and Joel was in a league of his own!!! WATCH THE SOUP AND GO SEE JOEL!!!

    McHale = Hilarious

by KnowerofFun on 7/11/09Meyerhoff Symphony Hall - Baltimore

Joel was very receptive of what his fans wanted to hear. He talked about his experience as the host of the Soup and had other material on various topics as well. Overall he was very funny and provided a good hour and a half vacation.

    A little Disappointed

by Crisbee66 on 7/11/09Meyerhoff Symphony Hall - Baltimore

I was a little disappointed with this show. I love Joel McHale on 'The Soup'. But if doing stand-up, maybe he should try some all BRAND NEW material. Ragging on Ryan and the others he used (from The Soup) in the show got old very quickly. I found him much funnier towards the end when he was talking about his family. I don't think I'd go see him again. I'd skip the show and go straight for the drinks!!!! :(

    Joel McHale was amazing!

by Jessa on 7/11/09Cape Cod Melody Tent - Hyannis

Not only is he adorable, he is hilarious! He seamlessly flows from one punchline to the next, never giving your cheeks a break from all the laughing! From his parents, to his kids, to the douchbags in Ed Hardy shirts his act was awesome! Highly recommend going to see him!

    Great Event

by Derf on 7/11/09Cape Cod Melody Tent - Hyannis

Not only was he very funny and entertaining, but after the event he spent the better part of two hours signing his T-shirts and taking pictures with the fans. It is an evening my daughter will never forget.

    Joel McHale is hilarious!

by ncpit on 7/11/09Cape Cod Melody Tent - Hyannis

Joel McHale is hilarious. I saw him in Boston last year and looked forward to seeing him again. I do wish that he had more new material but even though it was the same I laughed just as hard. He stayed afterwards to sign t-shirts (the ones you buy from him!) and took the time to talk to us and take pictures with us. He then promised that he would have new material next time we came to see him. I made him promise.

    Very funny!

by bsjohns1 on 7/11/09Meyerhoff Symphony Hall - Baltimore

I kind of expected Joel to do a stand up version of The Soup, which was slightly accurate. His act included talking about Ryan Seacrest, Tyra, and the usual suspects, but it also ventured into his personal life with amusing anecdotes about his family and other stories. There were definitely moments during his routine that made me laugh hard enough to tear up. He was consistently funny thorough and through. His witty delivery was the same as The Soup. If you are a fan of the show, you will love seeing him live. Don't miss it! As far as Meyerhoff Hall is concerned, it is a very nice venue in a rehabilitated area of Baltimore. The crowd did have its share of hecklers, which was quite annoying, but Joel handled it well.

    Not very entertaining

by Ears on 7/11/09Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

He seemed unprepared, the "F word" was used frequently to draw a laugh from a bad joke, the stomping back and forth on the stage made no sense, Jewish comments were in bad taste (I'm not a Jew), people leaving half way through the show was a distraction. There were quite a few people laughing - so it's possible I'm out of touch with is style.

His standup is even funnier than his show!

by sunnysideup on 7/11/09Meyerhoff Symphony Hall - Baltimore

My husband and I have watched The Soup religiously for the past year at least, and at the end of every show when he's spouting off places he'll be, I always waited anxiously to hear him say 'Baltimore.' Needless to say, we didn't hesitate to get tickets. There was a moment though where we wondered what his standup was going to be like without his TV clips, and we wondered if he'd have any new material or if it would be stuff regurgitated from various shows (I've seen comedians who do that). This was not at all the case!!! He started off with poking fun at Ryan Seacrest and pop culture and then spent the rest of the time cracking hysterical jokes about his family. Our faces hurt walking out of there at the end of the night and we still quote tidbits of his jokes to each other and crack up laughing. I'll see him every chance I get!!

    Joel McHale was Hilarious.

by Leila on 7/11/09Cape Cod Melody Tent - Hyannis

Since he is the host of the soup, I was uncertain of the content of his stand up show. I was delightfully surprised that the show consisted of an even amount of celebrity talk and other off kilter jokes. I was a little dissapointed that he would not sign anything that was not bought from him, and that the line was so long after the show. But, overall it was an extremely enjoyable experience. I, however, did not like the opening act.

    Joel McHale was very funny

by Reviewer22 on 7/11/09Cape Cod Melody Tent - Hyannis

Opening act for Joel McHale in Hyannis was very weak. He started at 8pm, ended at 8:20 and then they had an intermission for over 30 minutes. Poor scheduling. Joel McHale himself was excellent and the audience was captivated throughout his one hour performance. At the end of the show, he signed shirts that you had to purchase there and he took photos with those who purchased.
