About

Best known for his powerful guitar licks, Joe Walsh has entertained the masses and captivated his peers for more than three decades with such classics as “Funk #49,” “Walk Away,” “Life’s Been Good,” and “Ordinary Average Guy.” In 1969 Walsh found success with The James Gang, followed by a stint with Barnstorm, a trio he founded.  In 1973 Joe released his first solo album, which proved him a legitimate solo act with a limitless career on the horizon. By 1975 he joined The Eagles, bringing a harder rock sound to the group with the acclaimed Hotel California, The Long Run and Eagles Live.

In 1994, after a 14-year hiatus and several solo albums, The Eagles released Hell Freezes Over, which reached #1 on the Billboard charts and sparked one of the most successful tours in music history. And in 1998 The Eagles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the first year they were nominated. Walsh performed at the 2012 Grammy’s with Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen and Dave Grohl and at the 2012 MusiCares event honoring Paul McCartney. That June Walsh released Analog Man, his first solo album in 20 years, performing solo shows around the world to support it throughout that year. In 2013 the award winning The History of The Eagles showcased at Sundance, the two part authorized documentary, and in February it aired on Showtime. In conjunction with the April release onto DVD the Eagles began their extensive The History of The Eagles World Tour. On February 9 2014 Walsh was featured in several songs on the CBS Special The Night The Changed America: A Grammy Salute to The Beatles. In 2014 Walsh played select solo shows as well as with the Eagles on The History of The Eagles World Tour, with new dates continuing throughout 2015.  In April 2015 Walsh performed with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr for Starr’s Induction into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, later broadcast on HBO. In May 2015 Walsh joined Eddie Vedder and Pete Townsend for an All Star Celebration of The Who’s music to benefit Teen Cancer America.

VetsAid 2022 Glad to Be There ‼️

by Jeffmbigs on 11/16/22Nationwide Arena - Columbus

Joe Walsh's VetsAid '22 was a Total Success, from the opening Pres. Kennedy Veterans Day speech, the OSU Marching Band, the Breeders opening High Energy set, The James Gang Rode Again, the Black Keys Hits to the NIN Killer set and finally Joe & Friends Encore .... And Did I Mention Dave Grohl playing Drums or Guitar with All of Them ‼️ At every stoppage Vets or Vets Programs were Highlighted. 👍👍👍 to those that made this happen.

I loved every single thing about this show -the lineup, the sound quality, the lights, the jams, the songs …. Everything! Most importantly was that all the money for the show will go to veterans and vets organizations in Ohio

    VetsAid review

by Woody on 11/16/22Nationwide Arena - Columbus

Joe Walsh, James Gang, and Black Keyes were awesome and energetic … Nine Inch Nails was an interesting show but way too loud … Breeders was not my style … may consider Cammp from Columbus next year

    Awesome!

by Reenie on 11/16/22Nationwide Arena - Columbus

This was a fabulous show! Each one of those acts could have filled the arena on their own, and to see them all was something I will always remember. To get to see the James Gang perform The Bomber?? And to get to see Joe Walsh and Dave Grohl jam?? And they did a great job of letting everyone know exactly how to get tickets and how to get the tickets into Apple Wallet and what you could and could not bring into the arena. It was all flawless. Thank you for a remarkable night!

    Great show, just too short

by eedwin on 11/8/17Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

Joe Walsh was in rare form, very entertaining and the music was outstanding, as expected. The let down was that it was only 1:15 long, shorter than a standard film, and the cost was 8X the movie at the local theater! Come on Joe, give us more!

    Joe walsh/ Eddie Money

by lt56 on 11/7/17Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

Great show. This supports our military, and they do a great job of putting this on. this is the third year of Vets Rock. I have attended the last two years, and plan on attending in future years. Thanks to Mohegan sun for putting this on. Tony Orlando is the MC and he does a great job, introducing and honoring vets. Eddie money was great, played the hits. Joe Walsh is awesome as always, he played one hit after another. great show highly recommend it, plus in this case you support our troops and vets that gave us so much, and allow us to have the life we do.

    Vets Rock rocked!

by Layla15 on 11/6/17Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

Great show! Tony Orlando was a fabulous MC. Both Eddie Money and Joe Walsh had people on their feet. I loved the patriotic feel to the whole evening and the tributes to our vets! Thank you Joe Walsh for putting this together and to all the musicians who donate their time and talent to benefit this often overlooked group of men and women responsible for our freedom.

Joe Walsh can rock like he's 1/3rd of his age!

by RetiredDrillSergeant on 11/6/17Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

Joe Walsh rocked the VetsRock concert the entire time. He injected humor into his infectious rock songs, hitting many, many favorites dating back to his days with the James Gang. He even had Joe Vitale on the drums and keyboards from his days in college and in the Barnstorm band. He was phenomenal. He just about made all (eight?) of his guitars smoke and his voice ranged far and wide. A night to remember and to make you yearn for more. He was opened up with Tony Orlando as emcee who also sang a couple of patriotic tunes and Eddie Money played with three of his kids. His vocal range is gone, but his daughter has lots of talent as a singer and his sons on the drums and guitar really rocked also.
