JRAD brings new life to the Dead. Creative arrangements and setlists. Uptempo delivery with high peak performance.
Show was oversold/too crowded and difficult for me at 6' to see band, impossible for my wife. Great music but sound and venue are not best for this band.
This was far one of the best shows I have been to! I have been going to Dead shows and Dead type shows for the last 30 years and the only word I have to describe this magical music was UNBELIEVABLE!! Thank you JRAD for a real good time! We will see you in July again. Can't wait! :)
First time seeing JRAD. They knocked it out of the park!
Wowwwww the synthesis between the driving Russo drums, Tom’s soul-piercing vocals, and Benevento’s keys it was so smooth and seamless and just WOW. These guys do Dead better than The Dead (blasphemy I know). I will seek JRAD out every time. LOVE!
The band was incredible! So was the venue. I can’t wait to see them again!
Perfect show, good funk with dancin and shakedown. Hood space in playin
Absolutely amazing show!! However, it was difficult to groove because it was over crowded.
High energy from the beginning to the end of the show.
Some serious talent on that stage. Both nights were stellar, but I'm leaning towards Saturday being the favorite. Cats Under the Stars, Althea, Terrapin Suite, The Wheel and many more classics performed with 110% effort.
Amazing show. Pageant remains a rip off on drinks. Also, the halo bar process could be better. Issue numbers for those standing outside at 4pm waiting for doors to open so you don’t have to stand there for two hours once inside waiting for show doors to open. Add more bartenders...you will make more money
I saw Joe Russo's Almost Dead (JRAD) for the first time last Saturday night at the Pageant in St. Louis. I'm from Indianapolis, and it was also my first time in St. Louis and at the Pageant. The venue was great. There were more tables and chairs than I had imagined, and we found seats at a long counter behind the soundboard. The venue is very compact, so we were still pretty close to the stage, and on eye level with the band. JRAD was phenomenal! Of the five musicians, I had only seen Joe Russo before, which was the main reason I wanted to see his band. Marco Benevento was amazing, as was Tom Hamilton, Scott Metzger and Dave Dreiwitz. You could tell they were having a ball onstage. The setlist and versions of the tunes were great! I want to see them again!
Almost Dead was so hot after the show I had to put aloe on my ears! They all jamed incredibly hard and tight. One of the best shows I have ever seen at the Pageant!
They do not disappoint!!! Fire from opener through the encore!!!!
Joe Russo's almost dead was at the top of their game and thoroughly loved the performance. Live Nation however was so slow processing people though security that we missed the first song, which sucks! They knew ahead of time it sold out and you would think they would staff accordingly, but alas NOT!
JRAD killed it, as expected. This show was probably best for those who were on the floor. I can't imagine being there with a seated ticket. This isn't exactly a show made for seats.
Stellar show from JR & Crew ! Nailed the Grateful Dead catalog and took you into the heyday of how it use to be played with the guys Improvilization of the songs taking them deep into the darker side of the GD !!
If you don't know about JRAD by now, you're not into the Dead. They're the best Dead band touring, and the Tower Theater is a great venue for them!
Extremely gnar shreds from the hottest dead cover band around
Awesome show by some of the best musicians in the business.
