Great show jamming some well known and less known fantastic Dead tunes!
Once again Joe Russo almost dead lashed out with unbelievable music blew me away!
My wife & I bought tickets for myy br8ther and his wife for xmas so it was a family affait we had a blast the shoe was amazing the band was on fire. They never disappoint but this show was one if those special ones if you know what i mean. Grateful for family🌹✌
I am convinced this band can fix global warming. Tap into the energy generated by them and their audience and you can shut down all fossil-fuel burning power plants. My first JRAD show and it was unforgettable. As a long-time deadhead it was fun and exciting to once again not know what is coming next. Trying to hear the teases in the jams or decide what song they could be heading toward next only added to the musical joy. My favorite part of dead jams was the way the were able to build the crescendos to unimaginable heights and JRAD pulled this off on numerous occasions. Specifics... the second tune from both sets. Alligator was a real. crowd pleaser and set the tone for the rest of the show. Having a highlight that early in the show was no problem for me but when the they started the second set with Crazy --> Jack Straw I was sold. Jack Straw... they teased their way into the opening lines of Jack and then did an extended jam pulling the audience into their climax and they hadn't even begun the actual first lines of Jack's story. Not to worry, they somehow managed to top that first crescendo possibly on two more occasions before ending with the... the opening lines (of course). You want an energy-filled "Dead" experience? See the JRAD when they next stop by your locale. Not to be missed.
Great Jam band and musicianship. I was skeptical of a tribute type band but they blew me away. Highly recommend
Started out good but at some point morphed into unrecognizable jans that are not for me.
Can’t get enough of these guys. They are that good. Love what they do with Cats Under the Stars. Always a blast to see them. My favorite band to see and I see a lot of bands
My batteries are fully recharged with the positive energy of Joe and Company. Brilliant musicians doing what they love, improvisation. The chemistry between them just keeps getting better and they love their fans. And they continue to mix up the Dead catalogue in the best fashion, fearless to take on any song and make it go anywhere. I hope they keep doing this for a looooong time. It’s the only postDead act that really really does it for me, and I’ve tried a lot of them.
Just an amazing show, loved it! Even the band stopped at one point to say how awesome what had just happened was, incredible live concert moment!
Over the top . Sunday was epic . Best show I’ve seen in years . They really had it together. No words for it .
I only recently discovered J-RAD and just had to come see them in Albany when I heard they would play the Palace Theater. Sitting in the balcony I was not able to see the guys up close and the music seemed a bit "muddy" by the time it reached the upper seats. But I did enjoy the whole experience - it was a blast. I think I was the oldest person in the theater (77), and it was quite a shock to learn that one must stand all the way through the performance. Joe Russo was beyond outstanding on percussion, and Marco lived up to the hype of being a brilliant keyboardists. I enjoyed all the music - only wish I could have been sitting down closer to the action. Hope they will return to the Palace again soon. I'll be there.
Palace theatre is always one of my favorite venues to see a show and JRAD was phenomenal I will definitely be seeing them again
From begging to end JRAD wowed the audience with their musical ability to take GD songbook to a new and exciting level. Much more up tempo than Dead and Co. JRAD is keeping the scene alive and energized. Will go to next tour for aure
almost "too many" pinnacles and Bertha was a trainwreck - other than that the show rocked. Highlights were Black Throated Wind, So Many Roads and Werewolves of London. See ya next Thursday
I thought 2 songs dragged a bit and lacked JRADs usual energy (Box of Rain and So Many Roads). The rest of the concert FANTASTIC.
what a show! Russo is a monster drummer. Marco, Tom and the others were amazing. 1st set had an amazing Eyes, Wheel>Uncle John>China>Rider. 2nd set was Easy Wind, 1/2 Step, Terrapin with the Suite>Other One>Dew that was straight out of the 70's. Marco sounded like Keith. Tom tore up the leads. Encore was a beautiful Brokedown into a rousing Not Fade Away which ended with us singing the band off the stage. Go See This Band!!!!
Killer Dead band. A dance song set would have been nice. Worth it.
Awesome show ! Enjoyed every minute! Husband says very shroom worthy ! Would definitely see the show again!!!
This show has gone up very very high on my list of all-time favorite shows. The music was incredible (expected) but the crowd-band energy was the true highlight. You could feel the energy in the room, which I had to confirm with the people around me and they agreed! The excitement from the crowd pushed the band to really open up and explore new spaces. This was one of those magical shows where the crowd and the band were on the same wavelength the entire way through and fun was had by all!
