    Joe is an amazing talent

by BUTEOTRADER on 5/5/10Star Plaza Theatre - Merrillville

Amazing from beginning to end. Joe's guitar playing plus a great band made for an unforgettable evening. My wife commented " and he can sing too" she's right. Joe is the next generation of great blues and rock players and he is carrying the mantle well. we just need to get his music out to the next generation of music lovers so blues music doesn't die

    Joe Bonamassa was simply amazing!!!!

by Ernie1966 on 5/5/10Star Plaza Theatre - Merrillville

I've become a Joe Bonamassa fan in the past 2 years, so not as long as many. I happened to hear Django on XM and fell in love at that point. Since then, I've been spreading the word on this truly talented musician. Last night I took my teenage son and his friend; we were blown away. Joe sounded better live then on some of his recordings, and his showmanship is terrific. Someone behind me said it best -- Joe plays with so much heart/soul that it's overwhelming. You almost can't absorb it all. He opened w/ the Legend of John Henry which was powerful and closed with Just Got Paid Today (freaking fantastic). Not only was the music superb, I think one of the crowning moments as a parent was stealing a look at my son - seeing him smiling, excited and thoroughly enjoying himself (he is into grind/heavy metal). Knowing this was an influence on him and he was jamming along with the crowd was a secret pride for me. We had great seats, right outside of Celebrity Circle, watching Joe's fingers fly was spectacular. All the musicians were excellent and complemented each other well, there didn't seem to be any power struggles. Do yourself a favor a see Joe play live whenever/wherever, it is well worth the ticket price.

What a great show! Joe and his band start EXACTLY on time and play all the way through. Joe's guitar "sings" and rocks the whole show. His band is excellent. Enjoyed the show thoroughly! Great birthday present for my husband...he was thrilled!

    Joe B delivers!

by Rokster on 5/5/10Star Plaza Theatre - Merrillville

If you want to hear an artist who is: 1) talented as a singer 2) one of the best blues guitarists alive, 3) a good showman, 4) not full of himself, 5) works hard and delivers almost 2 hours of non-stop music, and 6) doesn't destroy your eardrums in one night, then you should definitely see Joe Bonamassa while we still have him in his prime. It was the best concert money I've spent in a long time.

    Bonamassa was Blazin'

by Chip212 on 5/5/10Star Plaza Theatre - Merrillville

This guy is a must see. It's a real shame he doesn't get more mainstream attention. The LOOP radio station from was chicago was there and they don't even play his music. His vocals were perfect and if you appreciate great guitar ... good luck finding anyone better. His talent rivals Stevie Ray Vaughn. The venue is great , ticket prices were good .... would be hard to find a better show.

    Come back to Lexington

by jewelrylady58 on 5/4/10Lexington Opera House - Lexington

OMG!! What a fantastic concert. Joe didn't stop playing the whole 2 hours+. He is a really gifted guitar player. THE BEST. Great mix of old and new tunes. The Lexington Opera House has great acoustics and small seating capacity. The crowd was into it (because we don't get a lot of real music coming around here, IMHO). One guy commented as he left that he felt truely alive again. No kidding. Been awhile since I attended a really rockin' concert. Joe mentioned that this was his first time in Lexington(KY), and with the great reception he would have to come back....PLEASE DO!! We LOVE your music!!

Blues ... Up, Close, and Personal

by SeedyCharacter on 5/4/10Keith Albee Theater - Huntington

I've listened to Bonamassa and I know that his songs and level of guitar playing is par excellence. To see him in person in a small venue is a real treat. He has a good rapport with his audience, be it through his music or jokes during intermission. It is worth every penny!

I have been a fan for over two years, This was the first time I saw JB in concert. He is one of the most talented guitarist I have ever seen! His talent level is beyond description. Hearing and watching him play "Woke Up Dreaming" live is one of the most amazing concert experiences I've ever had. If you get the chance DO NO MISS HIM in concert! The Lexington Opera House is a first class venue.

    Hope Joe comes back

    by Elcee22 on 5/3/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

I was so disappointed I could not make the rescheduled show -- I sent my 20 year old son so he might get away from the stuff he listens to now. Asked what he thought after the show... Deep breath, a sigh and a big "WOW". Joe has a new fan.....

    Bonamassa was awesome!!!

by Anonymous on 5/3/10Keith Albee Theater - Huntington

Joe can make the guitar actually sing. I've never heard anyone play a guitar like he can. He played non-stop for 2 hours. It was well worth the money we paid for front row seats. If you like blues and rock you must go see him. We bought his new CD after the show "Black Rock" and listened to it on the way home from the concert. We will definitely be attending again if he comes back to the Tri-State area.

Fantastic. He's as good as Hendrix, Clapton, Beck, Page & similar peers in their heyday. It's obvious he's now at the prime of his career. He'll not be able to put this much energy into a show forever. I'll see him again & again. From beginning to ending note Joe does not slow down!
