    Great show!!

by rockintodd on 11/2/22Pantages Theatre - Minneapolis

The Joanne Shaw Taylor concert at the Pantages Theater in Minneapolis was absolutely fantastic! The acoustics of the theater and the person running the mixing board made the 90+ minute show sound awesome! Joanne was high-energy and personalized the show with a little commentary mixed in. The theater is historic. A nice and intimate venue for a show like Joanne Shaw Taylor! Overall, the experience was awesome and the Joanne Shaw Taylor concert was a real treat!

Your venue is wonderful. All your staff and Merchandise lady were very friendly. Excellent Customer Service. I worked at Star Plaza Theatre in Merriville,IN. They closed 2017. I will definitely be returning to your theatre again.

    Joanne was awesome.

    by E on 11/1/22Pantages Theatre - Minneapolis

Our seats at the pantages were in the middle toward the back. Sound was overwhelmingly loud and distorted on the sides.

    by VikaS on 10/29/22

We went to the concert yesterday at North Shore Center and this was my 1st time at JOANNE SHAW TAYLOR show. Simply AMAZING! She is a dynamite. Incredible talent and great performance!. Found her by following my favorite artist - Joe Bonamassa and I was not disappointed. Thank you Joe again for finding and promoting so many talented artists. Thank you JOANNE. I will come to your next concert when you back in Chicago area for sure!

    Awesome Concert

by MegaFan on 1/21/22Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

What an incredible first concert for her after the COVID plague. Joanne was beaming with happiness at being back on stage. And she brought a great group of musicians to present a very rich sound. One of the best concerts for me in some time. In spite of a light audience due to the plague and a winter storm, she played like it was a sold out house. Her love of playing was apparent through the whole show. I wish her the best for a successful tour.

    Magic 🌟

by Mel on 1/21/22Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

Joanne Shaw Taylor is a "Must See". She has it all. She owned the stage with her presence. Out of this world voice, matched only by her smile. Such a joy to watch. Guitar licks that penetrate to the heart and soul. She grabs your attention from the first note and never lets go. Her band was in the same wonderful groove. The back up singers raised the temperature on every song. I can't wait for the opportunity, to see her again !!!

    Amazing Talent

by Dave R on 1/21/22Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

Joanne is an amazing talent. Pure blues voice and wicked guitar chops. The mixing was terrible. The rhythm guitar was WAY louder than her lead and kinda spoiled several of her songs. Turn the dude DOWN. Great band and she clearly loves what she does!

    Terrible sound mixing

    by L. C. on 1/21/22Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

She gave a great show, brought 2 backup singers, sax, keyboards and rhythm guitarist. The problem was I couldn't hear the backup singers except on 2 songs, the rhythm/lead guitarist's guitar was louder that her voice and guitar. I'd just heard Kingfish Ingram 3 nights before and the sound was pristine, even as he walked around the Bijou playing lead.

    Simply stunning!

    by B. G. on 6/2/19Birchmere - Alexandria

I had seen Ms Taylor only on YouTube prior to the show so I knew she was good but man, this was "next level" stuff. She drove seamlessly thru a 2-hr tour de force of blues-rock originals covering almost all her albums. Her new album was represented with 4-tracks including the title track, "Reckless Heart" and it was interesting to hear how the Motown influence has creeped into her new material. Her vocal style is similar to Melissa Etheridge and you can tell she"s done the work with her guitar playing, with frequent references to BB King and SRV...but with her own spin on things. Her tele and Les Paul tones were exquisite through the Fender Twin she was rocking. All told, it was a powerhouse performance and masterful display of musicianship that has very few equals today. Can't wait to see her again!

    Still in awe!

by JohnnyLajolla on 9/14/18Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

I knew this was going to be a good show because I saw Joanne in San Diego and I knew about JD from friends in Nasheville. I was not prepared for the scope and breadth of JD Simo's set and the seamless scorching groove Joanne Shaw-Taylor's trio laid down. Everyone there walked out knowing that they had witnessed something extraordinary and hats off to all the player's for giving it their best on a Tuesday night. JD Simo is a very humble individual and spent plenty of time afterwards chatting it up with fans.

    Great concert

by PhiltheDeplorable on 9/14/18Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

Very high energy concert event by both groups. I didn’t know too much about either group beforehand. JD SIMO DOES NOT NEED TO BE ANYONES OPENING BAND. Great performance by them. This was my first time at this venue. Acoustics borderline acceptable.

    For the third time, yes!!!

by Timd961 on 12/9/12House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

OK, I already love Joanne's music, and she is a nice, sweet girl to meet in person and talk with. Pretty? Yes, but not a girly girl, not putting herself on display like Ana Popovic or some of the other female guitar players. Dare I even call her a female guitar player? She takes that guitar and does something with it that few can do anymore. On CD, she is a good singer and songwriter and an amazing guitar player. Live, she takes it to a whole other level, and the way she flips the long blonde hair is beautiful. Talk about extended solos, and high-powered blues!

It was my first time to the State theater and I loved it. The State theater is a beautiful venue and there is not a bad seat in the house. Overall, everyone was friendly and I will definitely be going again. Joanne is an amazing guitar player but her singing is not so good. I actually preferred the opening band, unfortunately I didn't catch their name.
