Excellent show!! Great Venue! Joanne did not disappoint!
Joanne Shaw Taylor puts on a great show. Her connection to the audience is obvious and engaging! Yes...she did mention her merchandise (as she was directed). The new pieces she introduced us to were works of art. Don't wait so long between visits to Virginia Beach.
If you’re interested in blue rock, I highly recommend Joanne
Aside from being a little too loud to understand her clearly when talking to the crowd between songs, the concert was excellent!! She’s a badass guitarist!
Tickets were priced fairly. She is not a well known act. Talented guitarist. Band seemed to be having a good time. Lots of smiles between them. The show didn't sell out and might have been better suited for a smaller venue. We did get seat upgrades so we benefitted from the experience. Glad we attended. Nice way to spend an evening
Joanne put on a great show with her talented band. I’ll definitely go see her again if she returns to the area.
Really enjoyed the show and had great seats! Loved the opening band too and got to meet them. The only negative was since the last stop on the tour for JST there were limited t-shirt options at the merch table.
Great show. Band was awesome. She’s hilarious with the short stories occasionally. I’d see her again next time she’s close
Perfect small venue evening. Joanne Shaw Taylor and the opening band were spectacular. Great sound. Live Nation management of these venues are such a welcome change. They have brought customer service back! Thank you.
She relates to the audience with short stories and has a great personality and blues voice Great guitar riffs
Joanne knocked it out of the park, what a brilliant show!!!!
The venue is first class. Joanne Shaw Taylor is a first class act. Unfortunately, The locals didn't fill the arena. She deserves better. I just hope she decides to return despite the turnout.
J.S.T. was simply amazing! After one of her many long solo jams, my favorite of the night, I was SO psyched up I yelled "you are SO BADASS!". She laughed and said thank you to the gentleman who said she was badass. She can shred a guitar, she can sing, she was funny, and full of life. The venue, the Capital One Hall was very nice also! GREAT SHOW!
This is my second time seeing her and she does not disappoint. She is a wonderful storyteller and tells how and why some of her songs are written. Her guitar solos are well played and not over the top. It is obvious she loves to play and allows her band to shine right along with her. When she comes back, I'll be right there to see her again!
Been wanting to hear Joanne live for a long time and was not in the least bit disappointed. I love her guitar work but now her sexy grown up voice over her guitars is magic. Can’t wait for a chance to see her again.
My expectations for this concert were pretty high after seeing some of her YouTubes. She's a new artist for me. I wasn't prepared for her absolutely fierce guitar-playing especially. Her vocals were very good. The offstage fan that was blowing her long blonde flowing hair around was mesmerizing. Her banter between songs ranged from emotionally sensitive to quite humorous. Best time I've had at a concert in quite a while. If and when she comes back; I plan on being there. If you are comparing what she did here to her newer live release : don't. The newest live release is much more subdued and tame compared to her raw actual show now. She's the best Blues/Rock going as far as I am concerned.
Hit the ground running only slowed down for one song
This was my first event at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. Entering and existing the parking area was a breeze. The line for drinks and outdoor patio area was nice to enjoy while waiting for concert to begin. There are no bad seats and sound system was excellent. Look forward to attending upcoming events in the future. A definite hidden gem in our backyard!
Great venue, great show! Venue seats ~500, serves adult beverages and is the museum for Gretsch musical instruments. Workers at the venue were polite and helpful...I'd be delighted to see another show there. As for JST, very talented guitarist and singer...enjoyed her!
Had a great time with a talented musician. Joanne did not disappoint!! Great vocals and guitar riffs!! District Live is a great venue, not too big, not too small. Parking was easy with plenty of dinner options a short walk away. A definite do again!
