Country music just wouldn't be the same without Jo Dee Messina's spunky collection of hits and trademark red hair. Her catchy country tunes have dominated the charts since the '90s, and they're even more compelling live. Whether she's showcasing her vocal prowess on hits like "Head Carolina, Tails California" or sharing her spirited attitude with adoring concertgoers, Messina definitely knows how to get the crowd going, leading fans in fun sing-alongs and telling stories along the way. With the 2014 release of Me, her first new album in almost 10 years, Messina has fans fired up for her highly anticipated upcoming tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

A Massachusetts native, Jo Dee Messina started out singing in local clubs with her siblings, eventually attracting the attention of Curb Records and moving to Nashville. Her solo career kicked off in 1996 with her widely successful self-titled debut, which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart and produced two Top Ten singles. I'm Alright followed two years later and generated significant buzz with three No. 1 hits, ultimately going double platinum in the US. Since then, she's collaborated with Tim McGraw, toured with legends George Strait and The Judds, and sold over five million albums. With the desire to truly connect her fans to her music, Messina launched a Kickstarter campaign to support her 2014 album, reaching her goal in just 30 days due to her extremely dedicated fan base. Jo Dee Messina will treat audiences to her classics as well as new material from her fifth studio album Me on a string of upcoming shows.

    Jo Dee put on an excellent show! She sang all the hits people want to hear from her and threw in some old rock songs that were really crowd pleasers. High energy, awesome personality and great show all around. She sounds and looks amazing! My favorites were the spiritual songs she did… you could feel her conviction from deep down, she put her all into those songs and she got me… Hands down, one of the best shows I’ve seen!

    Jo Dee Messina put on a great show! The venue was really good. I would go back there! Everything ran smoothly! Wasn’t clear where we were sitting. Knew we had purchased “seats” that were G/A. Didn’t want lawn seating this time. So to our surprise..we were able to get front row seats!! Made our experience that much better of course!!

    I hadn’t seen Jo Dee Messina in years & what a treat to see/hear her in person again! Bless her heart, she was battling a cold & struggled a bit singing, but she rallied for her fans. Love, love, LOVE her spirit, grit & example of faith. Have her BACK!! :)

    Jo Dee sounded excellent! She danced well and moved around a lot. The venue, Box Car park was nice but, the wind coming off the water was very cold & blowing. The food offered looked good but, the drinks left something to be desired.

    Jo Dee Messina was just as incredible as she is on her records, she puts on a fantastic show with her greatest hits and some other fun covers. She's mostly a Christian artist now so she did a few of her new songs, too, and gets a little preach-y here and there, but it was fine. The venue at the Everett waterfront was amazing! Just wish they'd had some screens so the GA section could see her better.

    JoDee Messina does not disappoint. She played many of her greatest hits, some popular 80s and modern christian covers, plus new songs too! I’m so excited to hear she’s coming out with another album soon. Would highly recommend seeing her in concert!

    Really enjoyed both the gal doing the cover and then the myriad of hits performed by Jo Dee Messina. Became a fan of her music during Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) in 2007-08-09. This was my first concert of hers and it was well worth the money. She and her band really entertained us - and she was genuinely engaged with the fans during and shortly after the event. She came back out for an encore performance and continued to provide a quality performance.

    Jo Dee Messina is a talented, energetic singer who is excellent at engaging the audience....many audience members knew her classic tunes and sang along with her. However, toward the end she sang several preachy, evangelical pieces which I didn't care for. I won't attend her performances again.
