JO DEE MESSINA IN CONCERT:

Country music just wouldn't be the same without Jo Dee Messina's spunky collection of hits and trademark red hair. Her catchy country tunes have dominated the charts since the '90s, and they're even more compelling live. Whether she's showcasing her vocal prowess on hits like "Head Carolina, Tails California" or sharing her spirited attitude with adoring concertgoers, Messina definitely knows how to get the crowd going, leading fans in fun sing-alongs and telling stories along the way. With the 2014 release of Me, her first new album in almost 10 years, Messina has fans fired up for her highly anticipated upcoming tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

A Massachusetts native, Jo Dee Messina started out singing in local clubs with her siblings, eventually attracting the attention of Curb Records and moving to Nashville. Her solo career kicked off in 1996 with her widely successful self-titled debut, which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart and produced two Top Ten singles. I'm Alright followed two years later and generated significant buzz with three No. 1 hits, ultimately going double platinum in the US. Since then, she's collaborated with Tim McGraw, toured with legends George Strait and The Judds, and sold over five million albums. With the desire to truly connect her fans to her music, Messina launched a Kickstarter campaign to support her 2014 album, reaching her goal in just 30 days due to her extremely dedicated fan base. Jo Dee Messina will treat audiences to her classics as well as new material from her fifth studio album Me on a string of upcoming shows.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

  • Interesting experience

by JP on 4/17/23Tannahill's Tavern and Music Hall - Fort WorthRating: 3 out of 5

It was my first Standing room only concert and it will be my last. There were two extremely tall people blocking everyone's view in the middle of the venue. There was almost a brawl. The music was great. The Dryes have good songs. Jo Dee Messina did her well know songs and some of her new stuff.

  • THUMBS DOWN FOR TANNAHILLS

by s2parks on 4/17/23Tannahill's Tavern and Music Hall - Fort WorthRating: 3 out of 5

JO DEE WAS GREAT! TANNAHILLS NOT SO MUCH. IF YOU'RE SHORT, FORGET IT, YOU'RE NOT WATCHING THE SHOW, YOU ARE LOOKING AT SOMEONE'S BACK. IF YOU DO MANAGE A GOOD STANDING SPOT, YOU DON'T DARE LEAVE IT TO GO GET A DRINK, SO YOU DIE OF THIRST FOR SEVERAL HOURS. WHICH IS OK SO YOU ALSO DON'T HAVE TO GO TO THE BATHROOM. WHOLE VENUE WAS NOT SET UP FOR A CONCERT. NOT SUITABLE FOR VIEWING THE STAGE AT ALL. WOULD BE BETTER FOR HOSTING DINNER PARTIES OR CORPORATE EVENTS.

  • Awesome

by C. M. on 4/17/23Tannahill's Tavern and Music Hall - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5

She out on the best show ever, very energetic!! I ordered 2 beers, did not realize they were going to be tall boys, too much for me, donated $20 - wish they would of asked me if that size was ok before paying for them, I saw smaller cans that I would have liked better.

  • Great concert!!

  • Jo Dee Messina 2023 Tour

    by D on 2/19/23Rating: 3 out of 5

Saw the opening weekend of JDM’s 2023 Heads Carolina tour; and she still has a remarkable voice, it is very strong and beautiful. The first 30 minutes of her set, her band was really drowning her out though, they’re still ironing out kinks in this show, and they had her mic way too low. Also, I typically like it when an artist interacts with the crowd, but she was more of a preacher up there than an entertainer, she went on and on with alot of long winded stories about her personal life and her faith, which were nice to hear but I think the crowd would have liked her to sang some more of her extensive catalog of songs. Of her 1 hour and 50 minutes on stage, I’d say probably 40-50 minutes was just talking because she only sang like 16 songs. She was good, but I probably wouldn’t go see her again.

  • AMAZING

by Bre on 10/17/22Rating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Jo Dee twice this year and neither time did she disappoint. Not only is she an amazing singer, but she has such a wonderful personality and such a strong relationship with God. There are not many entertainers that would share their love for God at every show they do. Jo is one of a kind and I will definitely be seeing her as MUCH as I can.

  • Best time ever!

by Jenn on 9/20/22United Wireless Arena - Dodge CityRating: 5 out of 5

JoDee Messina is such a good performer. She puts all her heart and soul into what she is doing. She engaged heavily with the audience and made sure everyone felt welcome and was having a good time. The only thing that could have made the night better is if they were allowing Meet & Greets and the concert was longer!

  • 10/10 HIGHLY recommend!

    by L. F. on 9/19/22United Wireless Arena - Dodge CityRating: 4 out of 5

Music was great. I would Love for Jo Dee to put out a Christian Album! The only downfall was that the concert was not very long. I saw her concert in Dodge City, KS and it was awesome just so short. I am used to going to concerts that go from longer.
