About

RuPaul's Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon (she/her/they/them) is the "internationally tolerated" cabaret icon who's taken over the entertainment industry as an award-winning actress, acclaimed vocalist, and theatre sensation. She's now competing on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 7 amongst a cast of all winning contestants.

Since gaining a massive international fan base, Jinkx has toured the world performing her original cabaret shows with music partner Major Scales, including highly-acclaimed shows like The Ginger Snapped, The Vaudevillians (which became a hit off-broadway sensation) and their most recent production, Together Again, Again (2022). In 2018, she partnered with best friend and fellow RuPaul's Drag Race star, BenDeLaCreme for their first major holiday tour To Jesus, Thanks for Everything! - Jinkx and DeLa. Jinkx and DeLa's co-written holiday productions have grown into a worldwide phenomenon, spawning the 2019 tour, All I Want for Christmas is Attention, a Hulu holiday hit, The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Special (2020), and The Return of the Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show, LIVE! (2021) which performed for sold-out audiences at venues like the Fillmore (Philadelphia) all across the U.S., U.K. and Canada.

She is an award-winning stage actress, having won the Gregory Award for her portrayal of Hedwig in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and most recently, The MAC Award for her show The Ginger Snapped, co-written with Major Scales. No stranger to film and TV, Jinkx has appeared on the CBS cop drama Blue Bloods, the Netflix original AJ and the Queen, and has voiced characters for such animated shows as Steven Universe, Mighty Magiswords, Bravest Warriors, as well as a few surprises that are yet to come! Jinkx has been the subject of two documentaries: Drag Becomes Him, and The Queens.

Jinkx is gearing up for the release of her new EP out later this summer, and has dropped the lead single for the project, "Know-It-All" written by Major Scales.

Jinkx was everything and more. A complete talent from comedy to theatre to the pits of hell and back, she was the witchiest experience of my life. Loved every second of it. Should’ve been a hundred city tour.

  • SENSATIONAL

by JustChachi on 8/10/23Rating: 5 out of 5

It's hard to put into words the talent that is Jinkx Monsoon. This show is unreal. It's so intelligent and so funny. But on top of that, her voice is outstanding. She is our future of entertainment, and I love that we get to watch her grow and shine!! If you can see this show, run, don't walk!!!! You will NOT be disappointed. xx

  • Bewitching

Bewildering. A beguiling temptress, who created a night of enchantment. A talented witch for all seasons.

  • Great time and awesome talent!

by Richie on 8/10/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Better than expected. Bette Midler’s “daughter” was more than I expected and Jinkx’s talent was spot on. The writing was awesome. 100% a couple scenes should be taken out since it hurt the program and were not effective and I would have kept the show to 1.5 maybe 1.45 hours if no intermission. Leave them wanting more instead of wondering is it Going to end. Otherwise I have recommended this event to anyone I meet. It’s great to see there’s still raw, intelligent, “current woke” talent

  • I LOVE Jinx, however....

by Mellen on 8/9/23Rating: 3 out of 5

I have loved Jinx since I first saw her on Drag Race, she is just the best Drag Queen ever. I was so excited to see her in person so when they tour came up I scooped up tickets right away. I had to settle for the lodge section because the only tickets left on the floor were towards the back and I tought it would be full of queens with HIGH hair and I would'nt be able to see. Well that didn't happen, but the seats were good I was front row lodge. My biggest gripe is that the only thing I could hear was the band, her voice was drowned out by them because the acoustics in the theatre were horrible. When she spoke it was fine but otherwise it was inaudible. I love her but I don't think the touring with a rock band (and they were good) was a good idea because of the venue.

  • Jinkx is amazing, as always!

by Eden on 8/9/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Jinkx dazzled us all with her live vocals (accompanied by her band) and her hilarious stand-up. She is such an inspiration to trans and non-binary people!

  • Jinkx was great- the sound mixing was not

by Albee San Diego on 8/9/23Rating: 4 out of 5

I was disappointed I could not hear any of the words of the songs she sang because the music drowned out her voice. The dialog and jokes were funny. It was still a struggle to hear her. Balboa Theater in San Diego owes us all an apology. I hope Jinkx puts her show on video so I can hear it

  • Great show, horrible venue for it

    by m_matthew on 8/9/23Rating: 2 out of 5

I assume the show was great. It was visually impressive, and Jinkx herself is lovely. Somewhere between the venue’s (Balboa Theater, San Doego) sound system and the production’s sound engineers, however, it went off track. The music was boomy, the vocals were garbled, and thus the message and arc of the story was lost. Overall, very disappointing.

  • Fun overall

    by Daniel F. on 8/9/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Show was enjoyable, but for most of the songs, the band's volume drowned out Jinkx's vocals making it hard to understand the lyrics. Also, the acoustics of the venue aren't that great, especially when you're seated under the alcove of the mezzanine.

  • Queen of All Queens

    by K reyes on 8/9/23Rating: 5 out of 5

First off I have had the pleasure of seeing Jinkx perform in the past and this time around I was very excited to be able to sit up front and enjoy the whole show. She and the band were amazing and the show was so much fun. Great time and you bet I got tickets for the holiday show in December.

  • Jinkx Monsoon is incredible

The venue was great, bartender made a great beverage. Jinkx Monsoon was absolutely amazing. An awesome show and experience!

  • It was like a dream.

by Andrew on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Jinkx is a force to be reckoned with! We were completely overcome by her performance. I was beaming the entire time. I just couldn't take my eyes off of her as she took command of the stage and sang her heart out. She gave us everything she had and we loved it. Thank you Jinkx for an incredible experience! We're chuffed to have met you and to have taken pictures together. We were tickled by your observation that my fiance and I were dressed in a way that resembled those twin black and pink beachhouses that trended online. We only got a moment to spend with you and you completely got us and that was very special.

  • Disappointed

by jj on 7/31/23Rating: 2 out of 5

Guess we expected something different from the show. The stand-up portion (airport story) and celebrity impersonations were fantastic. The original songs were not so much.

  • Jinkx is Amazing, but the band drowned her vocals.

by PaulG on 7/30/23Rating: 3 out of 5

Jinkx is a one of a kind talent, but she needs a sound tech to work out the problems with the acoustics of her show. We were on the 2nd row, so perhaps that was a factor, but it should not have been. Her lyrics are always smart & clever but I missed most of them because the band over powered her vocals & the base was too amplified. Disappointing. Enjoyed her monologue the most because I could actually hear it. She’s still totally worth seeing. But there is definitely room for improvement.

  • Great show

    by Lisa L on 7/29/23Rating: 4 out of 5

First, I completely enjoyed the show. My only very mild complaint was because there were a number of original songs I wasn't familiar with, I wish the band had been a little less loud. I couldn't always understand the lyrics over the band's volume and know I probably missed out on a lot of great stuff because of it. But love Jinkx and had a great time!
