Jim Jefferies on Tour
Jim Jefferies is one of the most popular and respected comedians of his generation, entertaining audiences across the globe with his provocative, belief-challenging, and thought-provoking comedy. He was recently named one of the top 5 touring comedians in the world.
After receiving rave reviews for his 2018 international stand up tour, The Unusual Punishment Tour, Jim is back on the road with an entirely new routine for his The Night Talker Tour, with his international leg kicking off this November 2019. Additionally, Jim was recently honored as Stand-Up Comedian of the Year at the Just for Laughs Festival this summer. Jim is working with NBC on a multi-camera pilot which he would star in from writer-producer Suzanne Martin, Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner's Hazy Mills and Universal TV.
Most recently signed a first look deal with Comedy Central for content development in television and digital media. Additionally, Jim's eponymous Comedy Central series, THE JIM JEFFERIES SHOW debuted its third season on March 19, 2019 at 10:30pm ET / PT. As a strong voice in late night, the weekly series features Jim traveling across the globe to tackle the top news stories and controversial issues of the day. In addition to the series, Jim also continues to head up the weekly podcast series, ‘The Jim Jefferies Show Podcast', co-hosted by Forrest Shaw. The podcast, from Comedy Central's Podcast Network includes interviews and discussions with a variety of guests discussing current news and politics, as well as providing a more in-depth focus on the topics and opinions featured on the television series - with less filters.
In 2018, Jim starred in his third Netflix comedy special JIM JEFFERIES: THIS IS ME NOW. Performing at the Eventim Apollo in London, he unapologetically kept it real opening up the challenges of being a single father, as well as the weirdest gig he ever played. In 2017, he released his fifth major stand up special in seven years, FREEDUMB. The special was Jim's second to air on Netflix, and followed the huge success of the first, JIM JEFFERIES: BARE, in which he delivered a now iconic routine on guns and gun control in the United States.
In addition, Jim created, wrote, produced, and starred in the critically acclaimed FX series LEGIT, which ran for two seasons and has since gained a cult following. He has also appeared in the films KILLING HASSELHOFF and PUNCHING HENRY.
Jim currently lives in Los Angeles.
Great she, so many laughs and the guy that opened before Jim Jeffries was phenomenal!! If you could tell me his name that would be great.
So much better than I thought it would be. Great night of humor!
Recently we went to the Jim Jefferies and Jimmy Carr show in Vancouver. It takes us a bit of time and expense to get there but looked forward to the get away. After some amazing dinner, we headed over to a seamless check in at Rogers Arena. I will say that Jim Jefferies kept us laughing the whole time. Very good as always and does not disappoint! He knows how to pull off even the most delicate topics well and with class. Truly a great comedian. There was no intermission between Jefferies and Carr and that was certainly needed so many left for breaks while Carr took the stage. If you a taller person those seats suck and one needs to take a stand every so often! Now, I am one that does not really feed into the "woke"need to cancel everything or be overly critical of everything. That said, there was some topics to Carrs show that simply were not funny due to the topics. Not mush funny about women and child abuse. I know he does the one liners and is good at it but there is no need to go there. There are those that like to push boundaries and I can appreciate that. That said, there is also a point where even those that support that push know the line is clearly crossed and it is just plain not funny. Won't sign up to Carr again but Jefferies was amazing and well worth the trip to the big city.
Best comedy show I've seen in awhile from opening acts to the group finish
If you get the chance do it! You won’t be disappointed. He tells a great story, and says it like it is! I learned new sign language skills!! A truly educational experience!
Omg soooo funny my face hurt and my abs got a workout. I laughed non stop throughout all of Jim Jeffries
The lighting and video screen was not very good at all. The audio was also not great considering 2 comedians that speak Australian and British English.
Funniest comedian/story teller I’ve ever seen! My belly ached the morning after from all the hysterical laughter!
Sorry Jim, but we purchased the tickets to see Jimmy Carr, and ended up enjoying Jim Jefferies; who we didn't know; the most. Jim's style of comedy is very relatable and his accent lends to the humour. The stories and experiences he told were hilarious. He's very quick on his feet as well, when answering audience questions/texts. We were impressed to find out he invites disabled audience members back stage. Way to go Jim. His explanation about this was too funny. We will definitely go to see him again, if he returns to Calgary. Great way to leave your troubles at the door and enjoy a night of laughter.
Show was great as was expected, but the surprise and non communicated process to get yellow bracelets for floor seating was amateurish.
Amos set the tone of the evening perfectly and Jim and Jimmy just kept taking it a notch up all nite! Getting to watch them both on the same nite was a tray in itself! It was N incredibly funny show! What a fantastic nite out!
This was a fantastic show! I laughed my ass off from start to finish!! Would recommend for everybody who has a dark sense of humor and is not a snowflake.
Amos Gril was fantastic and actually the funniest of all three. I’m glad that he’s coming back to Calgary. Jim Jefferies was an absolute bomb. I think I only laughed once during his entire set. Jimmy Car, I had high hopes 8 out of 10. I’m probably marking him the hardest because I have such high expectations and I really do enjoy his comedy.
The show was hilarious! Loved to see him do new content while including bits of old to remember the good jokes. Never disappoints.
I've seen Jim perform 5 other times over the years and this was, without question, his best show ever. He's always makes me laugh from start to finish but his true comedic genius was prevalent at this appearance. His jokes have no boundaries and his energy was fantastic! Two hours of gut splitting fun.
One of the funniest comics around. Great show. About 2 hrs long with warm up act.
Some recycled jokes, but still amazing. Huge fan of both and hope they both come back to ottawa.
It was all around a good experience took my girlfriend as well, neither of us have been to a comedy show before. Only thing I can think of that was negative was the people in front of me wouldn’t stop talking other then that good time.
Loved this show, first time seeing Jimmy Carr and he killed with so many witty one liners and zings. Jim Jeffries didn't disappoint but had a few repeat jokes. The seats in the stadium are very dated and have next to no leg room. Other than that it was awesome.
Did not disappoint. Was laughing to tears. Jimmy Carr was okay just more jokes while Jim Jeffries is a dialogue which is just a personal preference. Not for someone with delicate sensitivities so leave them at home!!
