Jim Brickman has revolutionized the sound of solo piano with his pop-style instrumentals and star studded vocal collaborations.
Since the release of his debut album No Words in 1994, Jim Brickman's romantic piano sound has made him the best selling solo piano artist of our time. His signature style of playing and songwriting has also brought him two Grammy nods in 2003 and 2009, six Gold and Platinum albums, and the most charted adult radio hits. He recently tied for most number one CD on Billboard's New Age chart, and currently holds four of its top ten spots. Jim received top honors with two SESAC "Songwriter of the Year" awards, a Canadian Country Music Award and a Dove Award presented by the Gospel Music Association.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio Brickman began playing piano at the age of five and
studied music at the prestigious Cleveland Institute of Music. He founded his own
advertising music company in 1980, writing commercial jingles for such advertisers as McDonald's, Pontiac and Kellogg's.
A strong supporter of PBS, Jim has taped four concert specials for that network, which include Jim Brickman at the Magic Kingdom—The Disney Songbook (2005), My Romance, An Evening with Jim Brickman (2000), Love Songs and Lullabies (2002) and Beautiful World (2009).
Brickman has received international acclaim as a concert performer, taking his popular live concerts to more than 100 cities each year. Other artistic endeavors include teamed up with American Greetings lending his music to create some of their best-selling e-Cards to date to a weekly radio show, Your Weekend with Jim Brickman. Plus two best selling books, Simple Things and Love Notes, debuts at Carnegie Hall and the White House, as well as international touring from Spain to Thailand. Jim lends a hand to several charitable foundations for children including Autism Speaks, UNICEF, and Camp Heartland.

Fans of Jim Brickman would really love this concert. He was funny, sang beautifully and the duets with Chrissy Metz were wonderful! It was well worth the price of the tickets. I would go again next time he is in Pensacola.
I enjoyed the Jim Brickman concert very much. This was my first time seeing him live, but my family members with me had seen him a few years ago at Christmas time and they said that this was better than the last concert. I would love to see him in Pensacola again.

The Lyric is a great venue especially for a show or concert like Jim Brinkman.
Jim Brickman is the greatest pianist that I know. I grew up with piano and organ music but my father and brother played by ear… I, to a lesser extent. Jim Brickman plays by ear , which means he hears and plays chords and chord progressions that are not written “ just” in music. That is where he excels. I look forward to hearing him play again!
I took 6 of my friends to the concert in Birmingham (my 3rd time). His concerts are always so great and fun. He is soooo talented & funny. We all had the best time.
He was excellent. He really enjoys entertaining and is very engaged with his audience and his music is so festive.
First time we have had the pleasure of hearing Jim Brickman and now, I think it's fair to say, we've become Brickheads! We most enjoyed the solo piano pieces (no vocalist) and his original pieces. The medleys of Christmas music he arranged were especially pleasing with their easy transitions and unique selections. We were sorry (for us) to find all his piano music sold by the time we were leaving the theater (but glad for him). Fortunately, I have found it online. The (beautiful) Lyric Theater in Birmingham, AL, was packed, as folks there obviously know his work. We were traveling and were fortunate to stumble onto the show and get a couple of the last available tickets and ever so glad we did.
I've seen JB many times. This was a wonderful holiday show, and definitely gets one in the Christmas spirit. The recording you can get from your show though never arrived. Oh well. I'd say don't offer it if you aren't going to deliver it. Still, lots of fun.
We have seen Jim Brickman in concert several times, and we think this is the best show we’ve seen! Maybe because it was Christmas, but the entire evening was just fantastic. The venue is beautiful. Jim Brickman is awesome and really engages the audience. It was a wonderful evening!
Was just okay for us. We left at intermission. He is a great pianist. But just seemed boring. I think we prefer more instruments.
Beautiful music and his piano playing is awesome. We try to come every year!!! It really starts our Christmas season.
Good musician but boring. Singers were especially “Lawrence Welchish”. I felt like I was watching a 1960s TV show. I would recommend dropping the other singers and getting a few instruments and band members for backup instead (example- Elton John). We left at intermission.
I’ve been going to see Jim Brickman concerts since about 1995. I love his music. His shows are always intimate and we, in the audience, feel connected. The stage and lighting were beautiful. And the music was magical. Made it feel like Christmas!
The Lyric Theatre was a beautiful historic venue! Seated on the floor level toward the back, there really wasn’t a bad seat (I might avoid the highest levels). Jim gave a wonderful performance along with his fellow singers. The lighting was impressive and added to the overall ambience. We’ve listened to his music for years but this was our first concert. It was well worth seeing him in person! A lovely night!
He is so talented but did way too much talking, silly items, and until the last musical song, it was just ok. The entire concert would be powerful like the last song. Very mediocre
The first time I saw and listened to Jim Brickman was in a Unity Church in Chicago quite a few years ago. He was wonderful then and he was wonderful in his performance last week. He exhibited true showmanship and played beautifully. I felt like I sailed on his notes with his lovely music. Bravo Mr. Brickman!
The venue was beautiful & easy to find. The concert was intimate, beautiful, and very memorable. The sing a long part was so much fun. Meeting Jim afterwards is something I’ll never forget.
This concert was full of music that showcased the multiple gifts of Jim Brickman. And, because Jim Brickman has been performing his music for so many years it was a walk down memory lane. His musical gifts are prodigious, his humorous patter was well timed. It was so much fun to listen to him between songs. But, it was even better just sitting back and listening to the notes that he played.
I have been a long time fan of Jim Brickman and have seen him at other venues in the past. I loved the smaller theater and felt like he was performing for 20 of us. Jim warms my heart and touches my soul. His sense of humor makes the show even more enjoyable. Loved the sing a long we got to record. Meeting Jim after for a picture and autograph was the icing on the cake. It was a wonderful evening. Thank you Jim for sharing your talent with us!
