    An Amazing Concert!!

by SusieJ on 7/16/09The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

I had never been to a taping of a television program previous to this, but had heard that they could be slow, repetitive, and extremely long. This PBS concert taping was just like all other wonderful Jim Brickman concerts that I have attended, with a few short, usually humorous, breaks, repeats of introductions, or make-up touch-ups. And, the audience seemed to enjoy even the repeats and breaks, as Jim made it all so enjoyable! And, three hours with Jim Brickman is NEVER enough!

Two Jim Brickman concerts in Niagara Falls

by Flip51 on 7/16/09The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

My husband and I attended both of the Jim Brickman concerts in Niagara Falls. I have been an avid Jim Brickman fan for at least ten years. I love the music he writes. I use it for playing at church and for just playing for fun. I have been a piano player since I was a kid and it's a destressing tool. Playing the music Jim writes is relaxing as well as a challenge sometimes. Listening to his CD's is also great. And I love his concerts. I can just listen to him play because I like his style. But I also like that he adds in other musicians as well as singers for variety. And working with Different singers and musicians adds even more variety. It is great he chooses to do that. It keeps his concerts and CD's interesting. My husband and I haven't been on one of his cruises yet but may do that some year.

This was an unforgettable experience. To be part of a TV special and witness what it takes to tape a show was most interesting and Jim Brickman's personal side in keeping it all good was terrific! An incredible combination of musicians and a fabulous theme!

Brickman PBS taping was once in a lifetime!

by Pattie13 on 7/16/09The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

Although I had just returned from a trip to AZ, I just had to buy a ticket for the Jim Brickman PBS taping at Niagara Falls. It proved to be a once in a lifetime experience! Not only did you get to hear the fantastic music of Jim and company, but experience a taping for television and see all the things that go on "behind the scenes." It was a 3 hour concert with some of the most talented voices/musicians out there today. I can't wait for it to air on PBS!

    Big Surprise!!

by Redbud on 7/16/09The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

Hi Jim, I've followed your career for several years and enjoy (actually love) all your performances and guests. The show at the Avalon was great. Your are so pleasant and personable to watch. You put on such a great performance each and everytime. You and your guests always portray such friendship while on stage. My friend who came with me particularly enjoy the Irish singer and was familiar with the group she performs with. But my big surprise was Arthur Hanlon!!! I guess you could say we are family. His sister is married to my nephew and the first thing I did was to call Norene in Toledo, OH to let her know that I had just seen Arthur perform with Jim Brickman. I have had a CD of his (a present from my nephew) for many years because I have always enjoyed your piano music. It was quite an experience to see the television crew filming. I can't wait to see it on PBS.

Jim Brickman and friends were once again outstanding! Jim gives his all in every performance and it shows. He is awesome. Melinda Doolittle's powerful voice was inspiring, and Jon Secada was great to see again on stage. He's a born performer! The young soloists were incredible too. I can't wait to watch the show on tv again!

The show was great of course. I sat in the front row for the first time ever! The guest stars were all accceptional. Anyone going to see Jim Brickman for the first time didn't get all the usual humor and funny stuff his concerts are known for and I love. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD. I will be buying it.

Jim Brickman's "Beautiful World" is BEAUTIFUL!

by MagicBus on 7/15/09The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

The special that was being filmed for PBS began at 8:30PM and did not conclude until 11:45PM. WOW! An amazing variety of vocal and instrumental music from around the world- from countryside songs to flying piano duets to incredible string instramentals. Both new songs and old standards were performed, concluding with "What The World Needs Now..." Jim seems always willing to share his piano skills to showcase top notch singing performances, it was a joy to experience this truly remarkable concert.

    Brickman ALWAYS delivers!

by divajoanie on 7/15/09The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

The Avalon Ballroom was a beautiful setting for the taping of Jim's "Beautiful World" special. Although I would have preferred just a straight concert (herego, an overall rating of 4 vs. 5), it was interesting to get a behind the scenes look at what goes into making a tv special. Jim alone is a fabulous concert, but he added a smorgesborg of talent to join him that night that was just pure bonus!

It was awesome! - the best Jim Brickman concert I have ever seen! The guest vocalists/musicians were wonderful and added a lot to the show. It was very interesting seeing a live taping of Jim's TV Special. I can't wait to order the CD and see the event on PBS this fall.
