Jerry Rivera is one of the most popular acts of all time in the salsa genre, and now, in the fourth decade of his career, he's still going strong. In concert, the now-40-year-old singer continues to delight old fans and new with the same strong, clear pop voice and boyish charm that we've all grown to love. Many in the Latin music community have started using more samples and pre-recorded music, even in their live performances, but there’s an immediacy and scintillating energy to hear this music played live, and Rivera captures that so perfectly. That’s why he's still selling tickets, as well as records. His recent 2011 album, "El Amor Existe," spawned the biggest salsa hit of the year, “Solo Pienso En Ti,” and the title track hit No. 2 on the Billboard Tropical Songs chart in 2012.
This is only the latest success for Rivera, who earned the nickname "El Bebé de La Salsa" after getting signed to CBS Music and recording his first hit, 1989’s “ De La Cabeza A Los Pies,” at the age of 16. Three years later, Rivera became an international sensation when his third album, "Cuenta Conmigo," became the best-selling salsa album in history and stayed at the top of the Latin American Billboard chart for three consecutive months. Hits like "Casi Un Hechizo," "Suave," "Ese" and "Quiero" followed. Rivera now has 20 studio albums, eleven No. 1 hits on the Billboard Tropical Songs chart and nominations at both the Grammy Awards and Latin Grammy Awards. Rivera will continue to tour throughout the US and beyond in 2014.
Jerry Rivera hit the stage like a man on fire! From his fist song to his last he did not forget the age spectrum of fans and sang super hits to obscure hits. His joy at being on stage again and engaging with us was palpable. The combination of him touring with Tony Vega was absolutely a dream!

My childhood dream was made on this night! Everyone around me probably thought i was crazy, i just stood there in awe watching Jerry perform. I sang along but most of the time I just watched. I wish there was a meet and greet. That would have been the ultimate dream.

I have been waiting over 20 years to see a live performance of Jerry Rivera. And your Theatre was the perfect place. Acustics are amazing. Love the cozier more intimate atmosphere. Tgank you for making the show possible. Excellent show
Besides purchasing tickets fir my husband and I on the 4th line, nobody was sitting for the concert it was messy we couldn’t see and my husband can’t be standing up due to near future hip surgery we were just seeing peoples legs and booties ..
This was a gift but from the play by play... After a few technical sound difficulties at the beginning of the show which were resolved quickly it was a GREAT SHOW which they enjoyed immensely.
Love hearing the songs that make him great. But the sounds was less than ideal, sometimes couldn't hear him clearly. He finished early and refused to sing one more song- Marc Anthony would have never! lol. Overall, a good experience walking down memory lane.
Jerry Rivera gave a Great performance. But right from the beginning everyone in the audience was complaining about the sound system. If not because we knew the words, no one would have known what he was speaking or singing. I had the same experience earlier this year at this PAC center of Englewood. If you’re going to charge for a performance, then update the sound system so that we can hear just as good as any arena or stadium. This place is very convenient and everyone is so nice. Just upgrade, PLEASE!!
I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the sound system, there was a lock of feedback on the background, his voice was in and out. Jerry Rivera has a great voice but this was a terrible venue. At the end all the fans ask him to song one more and he didn’t even come back.
Place was a little runchy but the performance was incredible
It was a nice show but venue is very small and needed updating where seats were broken and filthy Jerry is a favorite of my husband but show was a little slow at times not a great performer but we like his songs which is why it was nice
We could barely hear him. His own band was drowning him out. The sound man should have the volume on his mic. Love his music, but he is a mediocre performer.

Jerry was late to the show. It was so obvious. The DJ and the preshow (Valentino) were trying to kill some time. So we didn't get a full concert. He did sing some of his most popular songs which was nice but the vibe wasn't there. He did look a little out of it. I was disappointed a bit. Always wanted to see him.
Loved the venue, and the artists were amazing. Outside the perimeter of the venue it smelled a bit. yet inside it was a nice place.

Jerry was great. Sang all of his hits, joke around with the crowd and sounded amazing. The venue is very nice.
