Jerry Rivera is one of the most popular acts of all time in the salsa genre, and now, in the fourth decade of his career, he's still going strong. In concert, the now-40-year-old singer continues to delight old fans and new with the same strong, clear pop voice and boyish charm that we've all grown to love. Many in the Latin music community have started using more samples and pre-recorded music, even in their live performances, but there’s an immediacy and scintillating energy to hear this music played live, and Rivera captures that so perfectly. That’s why he's still selling tickets, as well as records. His recent 2011 album, "El Amor Existe," spawned the biggest salsa hit of the year, “Solo Pienso En Ti,” and the title track hit No. 2 on the Billboard Tropical Songs chart in 2012.
This is only the latest success for Rivera, who earned the nickname "El Bebé de La Salsa" after getting signed to CBS Music and recording his first hit, 1989’s “ De La Cabeza A Los Pies,” at the age of 16. Three years later, Rivera became an international sensation when his third album, "Cuenta Conmigo," became the best-selling salsa album in history and stayed at the top of the Latin American Billboard chart for three consecutive months. Hits like "Casi Un Hechizo," "Suave," "Ese" and "Quiero" followed. Rivera now has 20 studio albums, eleven No. 1 hits on the Billboard Tropical Songs chart and nominations at both the Grammy Awards and Latin Grammy Awards. Rivera will continue to tour throughout the US and beyond in 2014.

Victor Manual, Jerry Rivera, and Tito Nieves were awesome! I truly enjoyed the concert. This was my first time at MGM Foxwood Theater and I was impressed.

by rodriperu on 6/14/10bb kings - manhattan$98 for two tickets... for a 50 min concert in a barely walkable venue (claustrophobic) was simply a slap in the face for those that work hard to give their wives a nice worthwhile date.. It was a discrace of concert and a complete disrespect to his fans... Never going to the bb king venue again. I want every penny back.

I didn't feel he managed to get the crowd energized. Also, his dress attire was average, nothing impressive. I thought there were actually guys at the concert better dressed than Jerry. I wish it would've lived up to my expectations, but unfortunately it didn't. I should've figured that's how it would've been considering the price for the tickets. Oh well you live and learn.

I'VE BEEN HIS FAN FOR MANY, MANY YEARS, AND I LOVE THE FACT THAT HE CAME ONCE AGAIN TO CALIFORNIA TO SING FOR US. WE MISSED HIM A LOT!!! HIS VOICE WAS SWEETER THAN EVER , HIS PERFORMANCE WAS OUTSTANDING, AND THE BAND SOUNDED GREAT!! THE WHOLE ATMOSPHERE WAS JUST MAGICAL. I REALLY HOPE HE COMES BACK SOON. LOVED THE SHOW!! JERRY, I LOVE YOU!!!..

His performance was outstanding, and the fact that he sang most of the songs I was hoping to listen to at the concert was a super plus.

The band was great as well. It seemed as though they really have a passion for what they do. Great performance guys!

Dancing and talking to the crowd in the Sexy way only he can... The instuments had great sound and Jerry live sounded like Jerry on CD, it was great! My only complaint about the entire night was the crowd; standing-room was not fun. You had a lot of girls thinking they were bad and wanting to start fights because people would push trying to get to get to Jerry every once in a while... They were ghetto! The show was great though, it seemed to go by quickly but it was fun watching Jerry sing amores como el nuestro and girls climbing up the stage and giving Jerry hugs and kisses. Oh yeah, and the secret meet and greet at the end was the icing on the cake ( after the show, ask the security guard where to go to meet him and he'll tell you).

I took the time during one of his most popular songs (Amores Como El Nuestro) to propose to my lady. She wasn't expecting it and thought I was just singing along, but the song did most of the talking. Awesome experience!!

He also had people singing all along to his songs. Of course the place was packed and the dance floor was full of people but it was all worth it!

Another major disappointment was the fact that when I arrived all the seating areas were reserved. I was not aware that there wouldn't be enough seats for everyone when the ticket was purchased. This should have been made clear when buying the ticket. Regardless, we were able to stand in front of the stage and see him up close, which made up for it.
