Great Show — and Next Time, More Solo Work!

by Frank From Queens on 6/29/23

I'd give this show five stars if Harrison had played more of his work from Casual Gods and The Red and the Black, and Belew had at least done "Oh Daddy."Don't get me wrong. The Talking Heads-heavy set was great, Belew is a guitar genius, Harrison did perform "Rev It Up,"and I loved that the opener Cool Cool served as the backing band for the headliners. That said, I went to this show primarily hoping to hear "Man With A Gun,""Worlds in Collision,""Cherokee Chief,""Let It Come Down,""Slink"and "Bobby."Harrison's solo work is seriously underrated.

I Never had more fun in my life

by J. I. on 6/29/23The Capitol Theatre - Port Chester

Be standed at 6 feet from Adrian Belew watching his concert was one of my best experiences in my life. His guitar tricks are unique, and he is very funny. I wish they played at least one King Crimson’s song, but they didn’t. Maybe next concert.

Jerry Harrison Adrian Belew and Cool Cool Cool

by Nick Falco on 6/28/23The Capitol Theatre - Port Chester

As a long time fan of the Talking Heads, this was a must see show. Jerry and Adrian delivered fantastically. The supporting band Cool Cool Cool was super strong. Their Female vocal leads and superb Rhythm section tied well together with Jerry and Adrians renditions of the classic Talking Heads catalog items. It was not a show begging for David, Tina and Chris to show up. The Band Cool Cool Cool is a force. I am looking forward to following their rapidly advancing rise in the music world.

A 2 Bedroom Condo on the Bowery

by Marcus on 6/28/23The Capitol Theatre - Port Chester

Great guitar work by Belew, but the production was more Broadway kitsch than CBGB. A simple concert would have sufficed with that terrific songbook, but a couple of the cast members thought they were auditioning for a revival of Rent.

    UNBELIEVABLE CONCERT

by HILLERLEE on 6/28/23The Capitol Theatre - Port Chester

So I recently saw another set of bands at The Capital Theater and the sound was awful. I wrote to the theater and they said it was really the band that messed that up. I was concerned because I was going to the Jerry Harrison/Adrian Belew concert and already saw them in Columbus, Ohio (which was INCREDIBLE) and wanted to be 100% sure it would be as good since I was taking my husband, who LOVES Adrian Belew and TTHs. NOT disappointing!!!! Sound was great - opening band who played the entire show on this tour - awesome - even better than the Ohio show!!!! I only wish it wasn't the last night because I would've traveled to see them for a third time. I NEVER do that, but this was such a might of musical genius - I hope they tour again and SOON!!!!

    Fantastic show and great venue

    by JE on 6/26/23

This was an excellent show! Intimate venue and great sound. Adrian Belew has so much energy and enthusiasm--his smile is infectious. I don't know if Jerry was feeling it--Smile Jerry! Loved they did a Crimson tune. And Jerry's Rev It Up.

    Great show!

by DavidG on 6/26/23Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

They did not disappoint! They performed Talking Heads hits and deep cuts as well as a Jerry Harrison and a King Crimson song. Adrian Belew went wild on his guitar. The other musicians were great and the show had many highlights!

For the most part, this was nirvana

by Elleng on 6/26/23Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Okay, it wasn't the Talking Heads per se, but to dance to a live version of some of my favorite Talking Head songs by *some* of the original band members was still a thrill and after nearly two hours I believe I reached nirvana! It seemed that Jerry Harrison was a bit tired toward the end, though, so that would be my only major criticism (besides not playing Houses in Motion, which supposedly has closed out all their other shows).

    High energy, excellent concert

by SoozieQ on 6/26/23Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Adrian Belew and Jerry Harrison, backed up by the fabulous Cool Cool Cool, gave a "so glad I didn't miss this" performance. This is the second time we've been able to catch them on tour with Remain in Light and once again, they absolutely blew us away with a band that was as hot as it was tight. The audience was on its feet right from the start and never sat down. If you haven't seen them, GO!!! If they record a live performance I'll be in line to download.

    Remain in Awe

by Fletcher on 5/19/23Moore Theatre - Seattle

Still giddy after this immaculate experience. The VIP meet and greet proved that 2 of my musical heroes are also very generous spirits! And then to be followed up by a “Once in a Lifetime” show…. Truly a dream come true!

    Atrocious Sound Quality

by Mark Garrett on 5/19/23Moore Theatre - Seattle

Doesn't anyone do a sound check anymore? The bass drum, snare and bass guitar swamped out everything else. The vocals were buried, sometimes the singers couldn't be heard at all. Lots of echo in the hall; the sound was complete mud. It completely ruined what should have been the coolest musical experience.

    All my favorites!

by MajorTom on 5/19/23Moore Theatre - Seattle

My favorite Talking Heads albums are Fear of Music and Remain In Light, and those made up the bulk of the set, with a few surprises thrown in. Everyone and everything sounded great, and Belew is always a joy to watch -- he seems to be having so much fun. The show was in a seated venue (moved from a smaller one) but pretty much everybody was dancing the whole show. The backing band, Cool Cool Cool, did a great job with the TH music. Anyone who loves this era of Talking Heads really needs to experience this!

    Overall great show

by Zroz on 5/19/23Moore Theatre - Seattle

The performers were excellent- Adriene Belew in particular was outstanding - and it was great to dance to old favorites. But the sound was muddy. Tried a few spots and it didn’t improve. Opening act was fine but played too long.
