Jenny Lewis' fifth solo album, Joy'All, is out June 9th. Produced by Dave Cobb and recorded at the historic RCA Studio A in Nashville, Joy'All sees the highly anticipated return of one of the most compelling singer-songwriters of the 21st century embarking on a new era, in a new town--and on a new label, as she joins the iconic roster of Blue Note/Capitol Records. Heralded by the "strummy, beach bummy" (VULTURE) first single "Puppy and a Truck," and the subsequent "Psychos"- declared as "easily , one of Lewis' greatest creations" (PASTE)-Joy'All has already garnered a rapturous reception of critical acclaim: "four years on from her career-best On The Line, she's sounding better than ever." (PAPER). A culmination of Lewis' prolific 20+ year career, Joy'All follows her four previous solo albums --2019's On The Line, 2014's The Voyager , 2008's Acid Tongue and her 2006 solo debut Rabbit Fur Coat--as well as her universally-loved work in Rilo Kiley and side projects Nice As Fuck, Jenny & Johnny, and The Postal Service. With no signs of slowing down for 2023, Jenny is ready to hit the road for an epic itinerary that includes both the upcoming 20th anniversary Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie co-headline tour as well as supporting dates for the Beck and Phoenix co-headline Summer Odyssey Tour, in addition to her own headlining dates in support of Joy'All.
Looking back on the concert I miss her almost as much as Harry was so entertaining even if you hadn’t listened to her music before!
i saw jenny three times when she opened for harry and she is phenomenal! i wish i knew about her music prior to harry! i absolutely love her vibe, her music is amazing and i’m obsessed with her style! jenny plz go on tour in the future because i’ll definitely be there! shoutout to harry for introducing me to such an amazing artist!
I saw Jenny when she opened for him in Nashville. Jenny was great and I loved how amazing her energy was. She is definitely a great artist, and I hope more people acknowledge that.
Jenny Lewis is so talented! We saw her when she opened for Harry and her setlist was incredible! She sounds so much like Stevie Nicks and all of the songs were great!
Wow…. I unfortunately hadn’t heard Jenny Lewis’ music before the concert but I deep regret it. The music she sang for us was amazing and the best to vibe along with the beautiful edits on the big screen. The way her band is immensely talented and paired along her beautiful voice and energy makes it 1000000 amazing. Jenny was the best way to open up the show!
Jenny Lewis made the crow even louder while waiting for Harry. Her energy was incredible and has an amazing voice! I loved her!!!!!!!
i saw jenny when she opened for harry in nashville! her performance was amazing! she definitely got quite a few new fans
Lewis, as always was amazing. I have to give extra credit to the awesome Watson Twins though. Not only is their live show a great experience (albums are good, but live they are on another level), but they were so kind and sang with my 7 year old who got dressed up just because he hoped to meet them.
Jenny killed it on every song!! Her presence was epic. Highly recommended!
Jenny Lewis is incredible and Kings Theater is one of NYC's best theaters. Absolutely incredible experience.
Beautiful theater, the Watson Twins opening was a wonderful surprise, and Jenny Lewis did not disappoint! She is the ultimate entertainer! Set list was perfect, she and the band were amazing!
I never miss a Jenny show in Philly. She's my favorite artist and is a phenomenal performer.
She has a gorgeous, crystal voice; a sensational backing band; and the Watson Twins singing live, flawless harmony vocals. There is no way she can lose. Her songs are dark, but beautiful, and she knows precisely how to deliver them.
This is a great venue for a concert but for the Jenny Lewis concert everyone in seat was standing the ENTIRE show - if you want to stand for an entire show get a GA ticket. For people who are not able to stand due to medial conditions it makes a concert less enjoyable.
Jenny Lewis was unbelievable. The Watson Twins opened, then came back on stage with Jenny a few times for songs from their album together. Such a great voice, energy and delivery.
The Kings Theatre is absolutely gorgeous. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The sound was amazing (I was standing dead center GA) and last but certainly not least, Jenny Lewis killed it. She was funny, entertaining, and beautiful. Excellent concert.
I have been to every Jenny Lewis concert she has performed in NYC since Rabbit Fur Coat in 2006. This was by far the best one yet!!
I recently broke my ankle which has made going to my favorite shows pretty difficult. I emailed the Fox in advance of this concert and they responded immediately with details on what to do when I arrived. The minute we walked in the door, I was greeted by a woman in a blue ADA sweatshirt and she basically took care of me the entire night. She whisked me off to the handicap lift, made sure I had the chair I wanted for the show and had a great view point. Jenny Lewis was amazing as always...I had a great time. Special thanks to the ADA team - I wish I had written down all of your names...Ted, the lift controller was great too. Thank you Fox theater!
Jenny Lewis is in fine voice these days, and her band is quite complimentary. Opened with the first two songs off of the new album, after which I thought that I'd already had my money's worth. She did most of the new album, as we'll as 4 songs apiece from her first solo album, Run Rabbit Run, as well her previous solo album, The Voyager, along with at least two cover songs. One highlight was a Delta blues version of Bob Dylan's "Standing In The Shadows." If that song is a wet washcloth, dripping with raw emotion, well, Jenny wrung every emotive drop out of it. I had high hopes for this concert, which were exceeded by far. It was a total blast! While I had liked the opening act, The Watson Twins, before the show, seeing them turned me into a fan, as they introduced me to their latest album, Duo, which is far and away their best effort to date, as far as I am aware. They joined Jenny during the encore, singing backing vocals on several songs, including Run Rabbit Run's "Born Secular" and the doo-wop classic "Met Him On A Sunday," which was every bit as good as Laura Nyro and La Belle's version. In short, if you're wondering whether to see her, don't hesitate one second longer, just go. She doesn't disappoint.
She was amazing - true talent, no gimmicks. Jenny wowed the crowd with her unfettered talent!
