About

Jennifer Nettles music has been with us for so long, it is easy for ticket buyers to forget that she is only now starting her journey as a solo artist. For nearly a decade, Nettles has lent her alternately smoky, soulful and sassy voice to the country music duo Sugarland, and in the process netted two Grammys to go along with five Academy of Country Music Awards, and five #1 Country singles. During those years, Sugarland's music grew exponentially, with 2010's The Incredible Machine, an album filled with anthemic rockers meant to fill stadiums, expanding the very idea of what country music is and can be. Now, after the Georgia native took time away from her band's relentless tour schedule to become a mom, Nettles is spreading her wings as a solo act. For "That Girl," the first single of the forthcoming record, Nettles builds on the other woman persona that she adopted in the Sugarland hit "Stay," adding sultriness with the addition of Latin rhythms. With legendary producer Rick Rubin at the helm of the new project, it's safe to expect even more surprising platforms for Nettles's rich, emotional instrument both on record and in concert.

  • Jennifer Nettles puts on a fun show!!!

by idanabanana on 3/3/14Hard Rock Live Orlando - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5

Hard Rock was another thing...smoking was awful and too many people talking, couldn't hear the music or Jennifer when she talked. I would never sit near the standing only. We'd think twice before attending another concert there.

  • What a voice!

    by magnum5 on 3/3/14Florida Theatre Jacksonville - JacksonvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Jennifer was great! opening act good, but long, and long intermission..we were also ' blinded by the light" from one of the crowd spotlights. long breaks led to alot of drinking, and alot of people getting up and down during the show--very annoying..

  • Brandy Clark & Jennifer Nettles = AWESOME!!

by Ilovemusic812 on 3/3/14Hard Rock Live Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

What a great night!!! The music was awesome start to finish!! I really hated the "seating"!! GA standing to the side of the stage was not great either but over all it was fun!! Service at hard Rock Live is always good but a bit slow due to # of people!!

  • Jennifer Nettles was amazing and so personable!

by DSummersMurray on 3/3/14Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - MorgantownRating: 5 out of 5

Jennifer Nettles did an amazing job, funny and very personable. It was a great experience to attend a more intimate concert. She interacted with the audience and seemed to really enjoy performing. Definitely would recommend!!! My only complaint was the light effects. At times they were a little to bright and harsh for that close of a performance.

  • Jennifer amazing

Jennifer Nettles has an amazing voice and she is a great performer. My daughter said during the show "She sounds better than the CD!"

  • Jenniffer Nettles is truly talented.

by SunshineSeashells on 3/3/14Hard Rock Live Orlando - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5

Thoroughly enjoyed Nettles concert. I only wish it were longer than the 1.5 hrs she performed. The real highlight for me was her SugarLand Song "Baby Girl" - it nearly had tears in my eyes. Her new album is a mixed bag really and some tracks are much better than others. Jennifer is really TALL! She sang her heart out and I really enjoyed the show - I would go again today if I could. She really does have this booming and beautiful voice.... I liked her song by Ambrosia but the Manilow not so much. Not sure why her new album strayed so far from her bread and butter stuff of Sugarland - but still many good tracks. She may have sang like 4 or 5 Sugarland hits in this show. I loved it personally. There was a HUGE crowd of 3K people at Hard Rock Live Orlando Universal. She has a great band. Sound was great. This was a bucket list item for me in a way and I am so glad I went and experienced it. THANK YOU Jenniffer Nettles.

  • Nettles gives solid performance.

Grab your date and experience an upbeat and live performance of Jennifer Nettle's debut solo album "That Girl." "That " voice is strong and in your ears. She is friendly and talks to the audience about this new body of work which is "That Girl." She does perform a few songs from Sugarland and the 70's, but this concert is all about "That Girl."

  • Jennifer Nettles blew the roof off Hard Rock Live

by cath5605 on 3/3/14Hard Rock Live Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

With Brandy Clark as her opening act, who was without band backup, just her and her guitar, and who was outstanding, Jennifer Nettles nailed it with her new music interwoven with some of her previous Sugarland music. She was beautiful and her voice was in the best form possible. This is the second time I've seen her live, once in Vegas with Sugarland and now in Orlando by herself. Would go back to see her in a N Y second.

  • Jennifer was beyond fantastic!

by Howie57 on 3/3/14Hard Rock Live Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

While we love her with Sugarland, her solo effort allows her to go places with her great voice that she has not gone before. Very entertaining.

I never was a big fan of Sugarland, but I thought I would take a shot...sure glad I did...She put to life the songs she sung, and showed me a great showmanship ethic...I was pleasantly surprised....would like to see her again...impressive

Jennifer did a great job with her show, and the opening act by Amber Clark was fabulous too. My only disappointment was that she did not sing Stuck Like Glue. She

The concert was non-stop music from a dynamite performer, and it was great to have a set where she was at the piano - would love to see her do more of that, just a better keyboard that doesn't hide so much of her. Jennifer puts her heart and soul into her music and fills the stage with her bubbly personality. It was a fabulous night, and the Florida Theatre was a great setting for her, and the sound quality was the best we have heard in many years. Great balance, clarity, and perfect volume level. Congrats to all involved.
