About

Jennifer Nettles music has been with us for so long, it is easy for ticket buyers to forget that she is only now starting her journey as a solo artist. For nearly a decade, Nettles has lent her alternately smoky, soulful and sassy voice to the country music duo Sugarland, and in the process netted two Grammys to go along with five Academy of Country Music Awards, and five #1 Country singles. During those years, Sugarland's music grew exponentially, with 2010's The Incredible Machine, an album filled with anthemic rockers meant to fill stadiums, expanding the very idea of what country music is and can be. Now, after the Georgia native took time away from her band's relentless tour schedule to become a mom, Nettles is spreading her wings as a solo act. For "That Girl," the first single of the forthcoming record, Nettles builds on the other woman persona that she adopted in the Sugarland hit "Stay," adding sultriness with the addition of Latin rhythms. With legendary producer Rick Rubin at the helm of the new project, it's safe to expect even more surprising platforms for Nettles's rich, emotional instrument both on record and in concert.

I have seen Jennifer before with Sugarland but only in big venues ,seeing and hearing her is this theater was AMAZING !! Her performance was great. The new songs were great and of course the older ones blew the roof off the place! Loved her cover songs too. ,really well done.Bringing Marc Cohn up for those two songs was a real treat .

I had never heard of Brandy Clark before this night, but I won't forget it now. She came out on stage with just a guitar to perform, I thought to myself, where's her band…. I was blown away by her voice. She is sooo talented. It was a real treat to hear her sing. I loved Jennifer Nettles voice from the first time I heard her in Sugar Land. This is the third time seeing her perform and to aging she was amazing, her voice never falters, she always has that strong vocal with such a range, she is really a true country star!!!!

by AliciaSue on 3/8/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I have been a fan of Sugarland for several years. It's the kind of music that can change a person's life. I never had the chance to see them live. So imagine how ecstatic I was to be given these tickets for my birthday! Jennifer Nettles puts on an unbelievable show! She has talent beyond words. I love that she not only showcased her solo songs, but also added in some of the BEST Sugarland hits! I was mesmerized. Her special guest was the icing on the cake! It's a night I'll never forget!

  • Jennifer Nettles was amazing

by Auntella on 3/8/14Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Jennifer Nettles was an amazing performer. Her voice is very rich in tone and she is fun to watch. It was a special surprise that Marc Cohn joined her on stage and they sang together.. The opening act of Brandy Clark was also very enjoyable.. I was not thrilled with all the commotion during the performances. Many folks were in and out of their seats to either go to the bathroom or purchase more drinks. It was very distracting..

  • Jennifer Nettles blew it away again. Fantastic!!!!

BRANDY CLARK WAS AMAZING WITH HER SINGING AND GUITAR WORK. THE WORDS TO HER SONGS ARE REALLY TRUE. JENNIFER NETTLES SHOWED OFF SOME DANCE MOVES I HAVE NOT SEEN HER DO BEFORE. LOVED THE NEW MUSIC AND HER VOICE IS INCREDIBLE

  • by ANDY9068 on 3/6/14Hard Rock Live - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

I took my wife to this show. I'm not a rabid country fan but this show was excellent from start to finish. Sound mix was perfect to the ears. Not over the top ear ringing like most acts out there today. Good mix of solo songs, covers, and Sugerland.

  • Jennifer was AMAZING

  • JENNIFER NETTLES -FABULOUS

    by pigpen2 on 3/5/14Hard Rock Live - HollywoodRating: 4 out of 5

I thought she was great- her vocals are strong - she really is a great singer . I've seen her as 'Sugarland" and in comparison -it lacked the comradery the two of them have together. It was one song right after the other - alot of them were ballads which got a little tiring. She did play the piano a little which was great . Overall I enjoy her as a singer- and the duet she did with Brandy was very good.

  • Jennifer Nettles rocks!

    by GBPack245 on 3/5/14Hard Rock Live - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

Brandy Clark was a great start and Jennifer Nettles is an amazing act!!!! If you missed it, it's your loss!!!!

  • Completely Magical

    by Ksee128 on 3/5/14Hard Rock Live - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

Jennifer Nettles & Brandy Clark BLEW ME AWAY. Everything from the venue to the music to their beautiful voices was just incredible intimate and magical. Brandy Clark was brilliant with just an acoustic guitar and a voice that she has kept hidden for far too long. I hope she continues to release her own music and I look forward to hearing more. And what can you say about Jennifer Nettles? This woman has always been one of the top vocalists in ALL of music and I love that it is now being showcased on her solo album and tour. She can sing it all and proves that last Saturday night. The concert had a very spiritual feel to it and a mix of country, gospel, jazz, and blues all wrapped up in one. No crazy theatrics or wardrobe changes. Just two beautifully raw voices singing their hearts out while completely filling mine! I LOVED THIS SHOW!
