About

Jennifer Nettles music has been with us for so long, it is easy for ticket buyers to forget that she is only now starting her journey as a solo artist. For nearly a decade, Nettles has lent her alternately smoky, soulful and sassy voice to the country music duo Sugarland, and in the process netted two Grammys to go along with five Academy of Country Music Awards, and five #1 Country singles. During those years, Sugarland's music grew exponentially, with 2010's The Incredible Machine, an album filled with anthemic rockers meant to fill stadiums, expanding the very idea of what country music is and can be. Now, after the Georgia native took time away from her band's relentless tour schedule to become a mom, Nettles is spreading her wings as a solo act. For "That Girl," the first single of the forthcoming record, Nettles builds on the other woman persona that she adopted in the Sugarland hit "Stay," adding sultriness with the addition of Latin rhythms. With legendary producer Rick Rubin at the helm of the new project, it's safe to expect even more surprising platforms for Nettles's rich, emotional instrument both on record and in concert.

Everything Jennifer touches turns to gold! She has the best stage presence ever. She connects with the audience. She loves what she does and it comes through every time. Jennifer makes it new and real.

Jennifer Nettles never should have left Sugarland-Her country music roots are so much better than her pop roots. I was very disappointed in her concert and would not buy her new CD. Brandy Clark was much more impressive than Jennifer Nettles. You should not try to improve what is already a success.

  • Jennifer Nettles House Of Blues Boston AMAZING

by Boston5342 on 4/4/14House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Sugarland more than a dozen times and I wasnt sure uf Jennifer Nettles could top those concert experiences by herself, but I couldnt have been more wrong. If you like good, "real" music, unbelievable talent, a fun time and enjoyable and enlightening experience, SEE JENNIFER NETTLES, you wont be dissapointed!

  • Poor information given for the show

by Frequentconcertattendance on 4/3/14The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 1 out of 5

The website said 7pm. When we arrived we found out the website was not correct, that the show didn't begin at 7pm, but that was when doors opened. We stood in line around the block until the doors opened and then found out Jennifer Nettles wasn't even going to go on until 9pm! Then I waited in line again for the restrooms because they are small facilities in this old building. There was a haze in the air of the theatre and our seats were so uncomfortable. And we still had 30 minutes before the opener even came on! We left. I love Jennifer Nettles' singing and the Wiltern's art deco historical value is cool, but after a long day of work I just can't stand and wait that long and would have appreciated it if the marketing/ticketing companies would have advertised the times correctly.

One of the best concerts I've seen. Great setlist and one of the best singer/sonwriters alive. First time at the Wiltern, but a great venue.

It was really really good performance. The first act was pretty good, an obvious excellent song writer.

  • She is That Girl!

by Margiet on 3/31/14City National Civic - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

Her voice is so incredible. The sound was very good in the venue. Visuals, however, lacked. One camera, no background graphics. Basically, not a lot of imagination, creativity.. Happy that she did her own thing, but bring back Sugarland..

Fantastic concert. I walked out a bigger fan then when I walked in to the concert. My only recommendation for change would be not to have so much time between the opener and Ms. Nettles.

  • Jennifer Nettles was amazing!!

by Moly on 3/30/14City National Civic - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. The small venue made the whole event very intimate and fun. Jennifer really knows how to put on a show and makes you feel right at home. It was awesome to see how much fun she has on stage. Brandy Clark was not someone that I was familiar with but she was pretty amazing herself. I really enjoyed her music as well and what a talent she is.

  • Fantastic venue and concert

by TinaAP on 3/30/14City National Civic - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

Jennifer put on a great concert...Brandy Clark was a great surprise...Would get seat up off the floor next time...Off to the side look like you would get a great view of the artist...but still was good on floor..I just need to be taller.

  • Jennifer nettles fabulous!

Jennifer was so exciting! She sang many of her sugar land songs as well as her that girl songs.

  • Most amazing voice in music!

by jen94404 on 3/30/14City National Civic - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

Jennifer Nettles could record the dictionary and I'd buy it. Her voice is one of the most amazing and unique sounds in all genres today. The concert was fabulous, with all of her new songs mixed with a few Sugarland songs, and, of course her amazing covers of current hits.

  • by backstage1 on 3/30/14City National Civic - San JoseRating: 2 out of 5

Never did any of her previous tunes. Mostly new material. The venue was great and for the most part the people well behaved. Well managed.
