About
Jennifer Nettles music has been with us for so long, it is easy for ticket buyers to forget that she is only now starting her journey as a solo artist. For nearly a decade, Nettles has lent her alternately smoky, soulful and sassy voice to the country music duo Sugarland, and in the process netted two Grammys to go along with five Academy of Country Music Awards, and five #1 Country singles. During those years, Sugarland's music grew exponentially, with 2010's The Incredible Machine, an album filled with anthemic rockers meant to fill stadiums, expanding the very idea of what country music is and can be. Now, after the Georgia native took time away from her band's relentless tour schedule to become a mom, Nettles is spreading her wings as a solo act. For "That Girl," the first single of the forthcoming record, Nettles builds on the other woman persona that she adopted in the Sugarland hit "Stay," adding sultriness with the addition of Latin rhythms. With legendary producer Rick Rubin at the helm of the new project, it's safe to expect even more surprising platforms for Nettles's rich, emotional instrument both on record and in concert.

The opening act was very good and Jennifer was amazing. She only had 4 band members, so you could actually her her beautiful voice. Too many singers try to cover up a bad voice with loud music. We loved it.

This show was excellent! She sounded great and I really enjoyed the more intimate feel of this venue. It suited this type of show quite well. It was quite a change from the big time concerts we are used to. The music sounded great and I liked that you could really hear it all without it being too loud. It was pretty cool that she sang a few of her most popular Sugarland songs too.

She was very entertaining and packed a lot of music into the time allotted. She did some Sugarland songs but most were from her new solo record. She has such a distinctive and powerful voice and blew us away with her singing.

She is truly comfortable in her own skin & made it a very intimate evening. I was not a huge fan in the past but I am now. She played some of her more popular songs but also mixed it up with some classics. I loved her rendition of "Like a Rock" as the finale. It was a very enjoyable evening!

She is a great musician, songwriter, entertainer, storyteller, etc. Her voice is fantastic! Since she was performing as a solo artist, most of the songs were from her new album, but she still sang plenty of Sugarland songs. I can't wait for her to come back. I LOVE this artist!

I love her new music and it was great that she threw in just the right amount of "oldies" . She certainly made the perfect choices. I had 3 other ladies accompany me that were not as familiar with her music but I can assure you that they will be now in that they were all so very impressed with her solo music, not to mention her wonderful attitude.

You can feel the emotion in her singing, playing, and overall performance. She guides you through her music and introduces you to the emotion that she infuses the songs with in person. Few performers have really done this for me, but she is one.

Jennifer 's performance was exceptional in that she entertained the entire concert. No "blank" time while she had to change costumes or sets had to be moved. Her concert had a very personal/intimate feel as if she were just singing to me and my husband. Her song thanking the audience was especially touching. I have never been to a concert before where the artist doesn't just say thank you and leave the stage.
