This show was so well put together. The music was on point and Stokley did a great job playing Rick James! You could tell he did his study of Rick to be able to move just like Rick James. The whole cast did a wonderful job. It started on time and it was great! I definitely recommend seeing this musical. You will not be disappointed!
I loved the set up, the programs, the dancers, the stage, the actors..everything was amazing! The star actor was brilliant, he did a marvelous job playing Rick James. This was more entertaining than I expected! The dancers, the storyline, the costumes, the props, everything was great! This production was spectacular and We enjoyed it from beginning to the end! And it started on time!!!!
It honestly started out a little slow for me, however going into the second half of the show, the performers brought the energy. Stokley Williams added the intensity with an outstanding performance as Rick James. My husband, myself & friends thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, it was worth it!
Pretty entertaining for an "off broadway"show. Slow start quickly excelerated to peak performance. Loved the characters and still singing & dancing to the music. I did not like being reminded of Rick James last public words.
This was like a movie, the sound quality so good. I thought it was a soundtrack but they were really singing. Stokley was Fantastic.

I really enjoyed the show. I liked the detail of Rick James story. The dancers was great. The singer were good. The show was very entertaining.
The cast gets an A, off top because they were at the top of their game on all levels. Although I thought it could’ve been a little more acting, as well as more areas of Rick James’s life

This show exceeded my expectations. I knew alot about Rick James from various documentaries so I was curious on how much they would incorporate into the production. It did not disappoint. Stokley embodies Rick James! The music, performances, casting, everything was incredible. Please don't miss this one.
From the beginning to the end it was phenomenal. I really enjoyed myself and loved the music.
Unfortunately I couldn't Attend! But I'm praying that the show will return to Memphis in the Fall! My Brother and Ex Co-worker express to me that the Show was Excellent!
I thoroughly enjoyed this show! It was very entertaining. All aspects of the show…writing, acting, singing, direction, production, costuming, and stage management were superb! I recommend it to everyone, particularly those of you who may be skeptics.
Going into this show, I wasn't sure what to expect. It was amazing!!! Stokley embodied Rick James, and the lady that played Teena Marie unexpectantly hit every one of those high notes in "Fire and Desire". The entire cast was amazing, and the fact that his daughter was one of the producers lent a lot of credibility to the project. Great show!
I was transported back to the 80’s! What an amazing and phenomenal cast-superb acting, dancing and singing. This is a show I want to see again!
It was a good show. Rushed at the end. Hit major points, needed more time. Rick James life is a 4 part documentary. Singing was top tier.
