Writer/Director/Producer Je’Caryous Johnson who brought you the sold out hit play, “Married But Single” and the hilarious romantic comedy, “Two Can Play That Game” is back with another one – Je’Caryous Johnson presents SET IT OFF based on the hit iconic movie by the same name. Fans will get to relive the ride that made them love SET IT OFF the movie, but this time around they will experience it LIVE ON STAGE.
The hit heist, cult classic movie you love is now a stage play and coming to your city. The same iconic characters – Frankie, Tisean (T.T.), Stoney and Cleo are back bringing the same action packed, adrenaline filled robbery scenes and emotionally charged antics against an equally exciting music soundtrack that will have you on the edge of your seat. Multi–platinum selling rapper DA BRAT will be starring as Cleopatra “CLEO” Sims, the role originally played by Queen Latifah in the movie. Fans will recall SET IT OFF centers on four childhood friends who spent a lifetime struggling to move away from the mean streets of their neighborhood. The system stole their dreams and now the four are determined to steal them back. With their world in turmoil and their backs against the wall, they decide to seek their fortune - literally. Targeting the banks of Los Angeles, Cleo, Stony, Tisean (T.T.) and Frankie rob the city's most vulnerable financial institutions. Flush with cash, they discover that mo’ money equals mo’ problems.
All of these ladies performed beyond expectation - even improvising when there were a couple of technical issues. Great comedic timing among them and they re-enacted those critical scenes from the movie to perfection! Hats off to the entire cast, crew and Je'Caryous for bringing us a quality performance! Good luck in the other cities!

I really enjoyed Set it Off. The movie is one of my favorites of all times. The cast was amazing, the parts were really studied and played out well. I did hate that a few parts had to be left out, but the twist at the end was great. I really think JeCaryous did well .
Every detail with a little unexpected flavor was involved. Too bad I only saw it once. It should come back to Atlanta again.. I love it

After seeing the movie quite a few times I really didn't know what to expect of the play but it was AWESOME! Je'Caryous really stuck to the plot...it was hilarious it was sad it was REAL n all of the cast did a BEAUTIFUL JOB. Although it was so many great moments in the play the ending was EPIC. A MUST SEE!
I haven’t seen a play like this in a very long time. My husband and I really enjoy our night. You will be laughing from beginning to end. Most definitely a must see!!!

Athens show was awesome and it is one of my favorite movies, I feel that justice was done, lol, the play was up to my expectations and more . i was wondering how it would be pulled off S a play and it was done . The 4 ladies did superb I knew da brat would do awesome as Cleo. but the other ladies were the best and played their roles to a tee and the some . My 19 year old daughter loved the play as well , she is s college student and i knew it would be hard to please her, and this was her first play , but she was absolutely amazed and impressed

I had my concerns at first, considering Set It Off" is a great movie. I wasn't sure how they were going to turn that movie into a stage play. But they did it and it was phenomenal. Job well done to the entire cast...
