Jay Park on Tour

As the first Asian-American artist to sign with Jay-Z's Roc Nation, Jay Park seems to be everywhere: Guesting on all kinds of tracks, writing songs for artists, dropping albums at a breakneck pace, running two labels and starring on multiple TV shows. He's a genuine phenomenon in South Korea, where his b-boy persona and canny mix of K-pop and hip-hop has hit a lucrative sweet spot. As an artist, he refuses to be pigeonholed; his music has all the frothy, hook-heavy perfection of the best K-pop, but his swagger and honesty (and tattoos) make him a bit of a bad boy in that squeaky-clean music universe. A terrific dancer, Park has performed extensively throughout Asia over the years, but he undertook his first world tour as a solo artist in 2019, with the SEXY 4EVA World Tour.

Jay Park in Concert

Jay grew up in Seattle, where he fell in love with hip-hop and R&B as a kid. He cites Usher as one of his major inspirations — no surprise for a kid who was a b-boy and dancer with Seattle's Art of Movement crew. In 2004, his mother, noticing that he was much more focused on music than school, encouraged him to head to Korea to audition for the K-pop powerhouse JYP Entertainment. JYP liked what they saw and trained him for four years. By then, Park had become fairly bilingual in English and Korean, and in 2009 he took over the helm of the boy band 2PM. A year later he was forced to leave the band, but he wasted no time, uploading a cover of B.o.B.'s "Nothin' on You" (with his own lyrics) that went viral on YouTube virtually overnight. Fans in Korea were clamoring for his return, and film roles in Hype Nation and 2011's Mr. Idol led to a new chapter as a solo artist. Park began releasing EPs, and by 2012 he was writing songs for artists including U-Kiss, Tiny-G and Younha. He also released his first full-length album, New Breed, that year. He's appeared on shows including Asia's Got Talent and Saturday Night Live Korea. He was the Korean Hip-Hop Awards Artist of the Year in 2017 and 2018, and he's won a slew of Korean Music Awards as well. He's also the CEO of not one but two labels: AOMG and H1GHR Music. In 2019 he dropped his fifth full-length, The Road Less Traveled.

by S.E on 11/19/19The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater - Miami Beach

Jay Park and his crew were amazing on stage, everything I've ever wanted and more when going to see his concert, Jay Park is the real deal, AOMG, H1GHER MUSIC everything! I thank him for giving Florida a chance, for the Venue for inviting him in. The venue staff was nice during my time there, everything runs smoothly and on time. Loved it and Love Jay Park to the max. I don't know if this venue does seated GA, but I would love to try that out next time. Please bring him back and more Korean artists like Jessi, CL, and Dean. Overall a fantastic experience watching him on stage.

    Words cant explain

by Zim on 11/19/19The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater - Miami Beach

While waiting in line there was original only two lines with no sign stating what was what. The concert itself was out of this world. Jay park and his crew put on an amazing show. You could literally feel everybody was hyped and ready to party there. I believe this was one of best experiences. Even for people who dont listen to his music or know anything about what he doesnt. I truely believe that this concert would have made them want to know who he is as an artist. I hope he come back to miami again so we can party and have a good time.

This is my first Jay Park Concert Ever! Ticket master made it so easy to purchase my tickets. The experience way like any other; I didn’t want to leave. The crowd, the singers, Ted Park and best of all Jay Park were amazing (he even sang my favorite song: Mommae)....At the need he even sang Happy Bitthday to all November babies. This was the best birthday present ever. Can’t wait to go to his next concerts

    New fan of Ph-1

by Choco96 on 4/7/18Neal S Blaisdell Concert Hall - Honolulu

This concert was awesome! I like Jay Park but never quite got into some of his other tracks besides Mommae. But I have to say, Ph-1 is so adorable and good looking! He also has such great energy that I was getting pumped up alongside him. I even bought two of his new songs after the concert finished. Quite sad that Hoody’s microphone wasn’t working well, she has such a beautiful voice! But all was made great by Jay Park exposing his beautiful muscles (DROOL WORTHY). Great night and would definitely do it again.

    Jay Park was AMAZING

by Randomnessisfun94 on 4/4/18Neal S Blaisdell Concert Hall - Honolulu

I like the venue and the seating but let’s be honest, the thing that makes a concert amazing is the artists. PH-1, Hoody, and Jay Park we’re all amazing and the energy that was in the venue was amazing. Loved it!

    Above Ordinary!

by Hayter on 4/4/18Neal S Blaisdell Concert Hall - Honolulu

This was definitely the best concert I've ever been to. It will be hard to top this. PH-1 and Hoody were better than i expected. Jay Park was amazing. Jay Park is not only a great rapper but he is a great singer and dancer as well. This show was worth way more than the ticket price was.

    The "African King" slayed

by Yeayuh on 4/4/18Neal S Blaisdell Concert Hall - Honolulu

Jay Park was phenomenal!! Must admit, however, not an avid listener of k-pop music but was more than happy to take on the experience by taking our teen girls to their first concert. Jay was an outstanding performer/ dancer/ rapper! Had I known prior to the concert, I would have purchased closer seat tickets. He had such enthusiasm and an infectious energy - the girls fan-girled beyond belief. Jay Park is equivalent to the Korean version of Bieber with his personal swag, stage charisma, style of dance guaranteed.

Not the seat that I expected

by Anonymous on 4/4/18Neal S Blaisdell Concert Hall - Honolulu

I bought two tickets for VIP price that I thought I would get a closer seats to stage, but it wasn't. For the website, it was not much detailed about how far away from the stage. If I noticed I couldn't see much of the singers or performers, I wound't spend almost $200 for these type of seats. Very Disappointed.

    Aomg was dope

    by CC90 on 11/23/14Echostage - Washington

It was a pretty good concert. I was in the very front, in the middle. There weren't any seats(it was a club). Throughout the whole concert I was constantly getting grinded on and shoved, which made my experience not as enjoyable.

    JAY PARK

by tryfun on 6/22/12Best Buy Theater - New York

Even though he was jetlag, Jay put on an amazing performance. The only thing I didn't like was the crowd kept pushing and shoving. But overall, it was an incredible experience. He engaged the crowd, told us a story, and bboy for us.
