Jay Park on Tour

As the first Asian-American artist to sign with Jay-Z's Roc Nation, Jay Park seems to be everywhere: Guesting on all kinds of tracks, writing songs for artists, dropping albums at a breakneck pace, running two labels and starring on multiple TV shows. He's a genuine phenomenon in South Korea, where his b-boy persona and canny mix of K-pop and hip-hop has hit a lucrative sweet spot. As an artist, he refuses to be pigeonholed; his music has all the frothy, hook-heavy perfection of the best K-pop, but his swagger and honesty (and tattoos) make him a bit of a bad boy in that squeaky-clean music universe. A terrific dancer, Park has performed extensively throughout Asia over the years, but he undertook his first world tour as a solo artist in 2019, with the SEXY 4EVA World Tour.

Jay Park in Concert

Jay grew up in Seattle, where he fell in love with hip-hop and R&B as a kid. He cites Usher as one of his major inspirations — no surprise for a kid who was a b-boy and dancer with Seattle's Art of Movement crew. In 2004, his mother, noticing that he was much more focused on music than school, encouraged him to head to Korea to audition for the K-pop powerhouse JYP Entertainment. JYP liked what they saw and trained him for four years. By then, Park had become fairly bilingual in English and Korean, and in 2009 he took over the helm of the boy band 2PM. A year later he was forced to leave the band, but he wasted no time, uploading a cover of B.o.B.'s "Nothin' on You" (with his own lyrics) that went viral on YouTube virtually overnight. Fans in Korea were clamoring for his return, and film roles in Hype Nation and 2011's Mr. Idol led to a new chapter as a solo artist. Park began releasing EPs, and by 2012 he was writing songs for artists including U-Kiss, Tiny-G and Younha. He also released his first full-length album, New Breed, that year. He's appeared on shows including Asia's Got Talent and Saturday Night Live Korea. He was the Korean Hip-Hop Awards Artist of the Year in 2017 and 2018, and he's won a slew of Korean Music Awards as well. He's also the CEO of not one but two labels: AOMG and H1GHR Music. In 2019 he dropped his fifth full-length, The Road Less Traveled.

    Confident ticket sale

by Nance on 11/25/19State Theatre - Minneapolis

I bought tickets from my friend because he was unable to attend the concert. This was my first time buying tickets from ticketmaster, so i was worried that i would be sold tickets that arent real/actual. Ticketmaster made sure that these were the real tickets and that i am not getting jipped of my money. My friend transferred the tickets to me and ticketmaster made sure everything was correct days before the concert started. They email you to make sure everything goes smooth. I will keep using ticketmaster to be sure about purchasing tickets from friends. Thank you so much!!

    Jay is sexy 4eva

by Angel on 11/25/19State Theatre - Minneapolis

Loved it! Venue was kind of tight with seating but that’s fine, you just kind of learn to dance in that little bitty spot. The only down fall was the lack of merch. I wasn’t the only person there disappointed that we couldn’t buy merch. If jays team had done a pop up store some place he would have made a killing in merch. But overall it was so much fun and a great birthday present to my daughter who celebrated her bday that day.

Jay Park is amazing! The venue is gorgeous Although I prefer standing up so I can dance. It was nice to have seats. I wish it was slightly bigger but it is gorgeous!!! The sound was good, I sat in the balcony and was still able to hear just fine.

    Life Changing

by N. R. on 11/21/19Tabernacle presented by Cricket Wireless - Atlanta

Jay Park was amazing. He said this was his first show in Atlanta. You could tell he’s a pro & is totally in love with what he does. Been following him for like 7 years and this show forever changed my life. There was never a dull moment. He is so fun, humble, and a free spirit. Loved the show. Great job Jay & please come back!

    Great

by A on 11/21/19Tabernacle presented by Cricket Wireless - Atlanta

The concert was great. Everyone that preformed was great. The only thing that I could think that wasn’t was a big majority of the crowd not being mindful of their surroundings. There was sooo much pushing; I have attended many concerts & I’ve never experienced such pushing like this. It was almost suffocating at some points. I know it isn’t any of the performers fault though & I know it can be expected to an extent at concerts.

    Wonderful

by ZeZe on 11/21/19Tabernacle presented by Cricket Wireless - Atlanta

The concert was great. I has so close to the stage that if I would have walked close I would have been able to touch his hand. He was very nice and funny and his performance was great. It was by far the best concert I have ever been to and I went to the wonderful Janet Jackson concert. I would see him again if a could. The funniest part was when a fan threw a pregnancy test on stage. The best part was when he took off his shirt. It was great.

    Saw All Sides of Jay!

by Kei on 11/21/19Tabernacle presented by Cricket Wireless - Atlanta

This has been my best concert experience yet! (And I've been to others including CL and Taeyang.) I love every side of Jay, so it was fantastic to see all those sides represented: his fun pop music side, his amazing dancing side, his sexy R&B side, as well as his talented rapping side. The show was set up in such a great way to show all of his styles in a nice way while also introducing newer talent like Ted Park throughout. Cool visuals, male and female background dancers, and DJ Wegun being the live DJ really made this an experience to never forget!

    Best ever

by Bre on 11/21/19Tabernacle presented by Cricket Wireless - Atlanta

The whole show was lit, jay was great. The show was pretty long for a hiphop one and he showed attention to everyone while making sure to use the whole stage.
