    Two Legends

by JDUB on 11/2/19Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

This was one of the best things I’ve ever seen live. Mitch was an outstanding moderator. I love Jane’s feral quality and passion. Lily is charming and witty. The Fox Theatre is gorgeous. Love Detroit plus the fact it’s Lily’s hometown. I must find out how to watch this event online after the fact. I need to see it again.

    Lily and Jane

by G.S. on 11/2/19Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Very pleased with venue and the show only downfall was that the sound system was awful. Could not hear Mitch Albom and Lily Tomlinson and Jane Fonda always had to be holding their microphones

I only wish the evening with Jane and Lily had lasted longer. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience to see them in person.

    by T. W. on 11/2/19Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Sound was horrible. Could.barely hear them and we were on the main floor. Love them but was disappointed...would have enjoyed more if we could hear what was being said.

    Jane Great/Dick Not So Great

by dare2cre8 on 4/11/11Harrah's Rincon Casino - Pavilion - Valley Center

Maybe he was just having an "off" night, but Dick Cavett really disappointed me. He couldn't seem to connect with Jane or with the audience but talked a lot about himself. Poor Jane could see it was going off the rails and tried to help by soliciting questions from the audience. All Dick could do was try to remember things that had jumped out at him from her book and repeat them--no effort to entreat Jane to tell us more or similar stories. His contributions ended up just being distractions to the dialogue between Jane and the audience. For that, I didn't need to pay to see Dick Cavett; what I wanted was for HIM to ask the hot questions that I would not have thought to ask. Jane was gracious and showed herself to be well-informed on a variety of social issues as well as acting and show business. Had some very good stories to tell about celebrities she's known and worked with.

Dick Cavett interview with Jane Fonda

by numbersgal on 4/11/11Harrah's Rincon Casino - Pavilion - Valley Center

Dick Cavett lost control of the interview and seemed to only want to talk about himself. The audience began to shout out questions to Ms. Fonda, which she answered. Ms. Fonda even made a remark to Dick Cavett about his lack of interview questions. I thought the venue was too informal and added to the audience's effort to take control of the questions. One of the audience members went right up to the stage and handed Ms. Fonda a small gift which I thought was dangerous. Why was anyone allowed to approach the stage? Another audience member was allowed to shout to her directly and why was that allowed? Ms. Fonda was gracious and very interesting. I wish that Dick Cavett had taken control of the interview and had prepared in depth questions to ask her. I wanted to know more about her early career and marriages and films.

    Entertaining event with Jane

by Bucketlister on 4/11/11Harrah's Rincon Casino - Pavilion - Valley Center

Jane Fonda and Dick Cavett did a good job of handling the folks in the audience with a political axe to grind or had a question about some obscure issue related to Jane which took away from the evening. For the most part the event was worth the cost. Dick Cavetts audio was much better for this event.
